Boeing Bails On Diversity Division, Reverts To "A Merit-Based" System

Will this is the straw that breaks the DEI camel's back?

Bloomberg reports that Boeing just became the latest big corporate entity to abandon the DEI debacle amid growing pressures to perform and be woke.

Anti-DEI activist Robby Starbuck, who claims credit for convincing Toyota and Harley-Davidson to scale back DEI, said he had reached out to Ortberg and board chair Steve Mollenkopf by e-mail earlier this month to alert them he was considering an online campaign against their diversity programs.

Bloomberg reports that the planemaker has dismantled its global diversity, equity and inclusion department, making it the latest high-profile corporation to make changes to its DEI policy as its new top leader oversees a broader revamp of the company’s workforce.

Staff from Boeing’s DEI office will be combined with another human resources team focused on talent and employee experience, according to people familiar with the matter.

And you'll never guess what approach the new CEO is taking - "merit-based" performance appraisal.

“Boeing remains committed to recruiting and retaining top talent and creating an inclusive work environment where every teammate around the world can perform at their best while supporting the company’s mission,” the planemaker said in a statement.

The company added that it prohibits discriminatory hiring practices and maintains “a merit-based performance system with procedures aimed at encouraging an equality of opportunity, not of outcomes.”
Boeing had promised to increase opportunities for under-represented workers, including Black employees, in the aftermath of George Floyd’s death in 2020.

As part of that effort, the company pledged to increase overall Black employment by 20% by 2025.

Boeing was already closing in on that goal last year, as Black employment rose to 7.5% in 2023 - a 17% increase, according to data reported to the US federal government.

Sara Liang Bowen, a Boeing vice president who led the now-defunct department, left the company on Thursday.

“The team achieved so much — sometimes imperfectly, never easily — and dreamed of doing much more still,” Bowen wrote in a farewell post on LinkedIn.
What exactly did u achieve Ms Bowen?

My company is requiring me to watch a DEI video for training. I'm quite busy but I will watch it next week to have some laughs.
I just skip past the videos or put the player on silent while it plays. When the quiz portion finally appears, I use ChatGPT to answer the questions.

There's a lot of money to be made in the racism/DEI industry, hence why it's so widespread.

I just want to get off my chest I hate working with Asians or dealing with Asian employees when I am a customer. They behave like robots and have zero understanding of customer service and have no initiative. The only Asians who are somewhat civilized are the Japanese. Also Asian managers are very authoritarian and power hungry and turn in any workplace into a depressing hellhole.

Australia is being flooded with masses of Chinese, Indians, etc and is slowly turning into a third world hellhole.
By Asians does that include Indians and other brown people?

This is extremely harmful. If you have a DEI beuarcrat or DEI HR person or DEI middle manager it doesn't matter so much because their job is meaningless anyway and produces nothing of value. But DEI doctors and DEI engineers will literally kill people with their mistakes.
75% is too little.

100% of those spots should go to dei applicants. the madness will go on as long as enough people are kept dumb, fat and happy. the sooner the system breaks down the better

The best case scenario is that we get a few million fobby panjeet nerds. The real concern is that we get a few million call center workers that don’t know how to work at all. These are the guys that end up taking municipal jobs like meter maids and get to the front of the li e for other easy jobs, then they do all of these jobs poorly and they keep sending in more. And it never ends. I guess my scenario really isn’t that different than your army of panjeet nerds, except the Indian army I envision is even more useless

The money is incidental. The primary purpose is control. Some industries now require DEI “training” to retain accreditation with the state or they’ll pull your license .

"Mike Shaw, who until recently served as the Oregon Department of Forestry’s second-in-command, was put on blast by Megan Donecker, the department’s former DEI strategy officer, for looking “beyond gender and identity in hiring, seeking only candidates most qualified for the job..."

This seems to be real. It's interesting because the story and the two main people involved seem almost AI generated to enrage people like us. Both the obese, purple-haired "DEI strategy officer" and the square-jawed Chad director who she managed to get fired for daring to prioritize hiring qualified people seem almost too "on the nose" to be real. Purple hair's picture speaks for itself, but what are the odds that director Chad doesn't eat a lot of red meat, lift weights regularly, and have several beautiful children with his thin, attractive wife. I'd say close to zero.

Walmart Nukes DEI As Anti-Woke Crusader Robby Starbuck Sends "Shockwaves Across Corporate America"

Anti-woke crusader Robby Starbuck has been on a mission to shift the corporate landscape in America from insanity and rainbows to what he considers "sanity and neutrality." He has successfully pressured companies such as Tractor Supply, John Deere, Harley-Davidson, Polaris, Indian Motorcycle, Lowe's, Ford, Coors, Stanley Black & Decker, Jack Daniel's, DeWalt Tools, Craftsman, Caterpillar, Boeing, and Toyota to move away from toxic Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) practices.

Now, Starbuck is at it again. He wrote on X that America's largest employer, Walmart, has decided to end its woke policies after he "had productive conversations to find solutions" with management.

He stated that the changes Walmart committed to "will send shockwaves throughout corporate America," adding that their executives deserve "major credit" for wanting to end corporate wokeness.

"This is the biggest win yet for our movement to end wokeness in corporate America," Starbuck said.

Here are the changes Walmart committed to:

  • Surveys: Walmart will no longer participate in the HRC's woke Corporate Equality Index.
  • Products: Monitor the Walmart marketplace to identify and remove inappropriate sexual and / or transgender products marketed to children.
  • Funding of Grants: Review all funding of Pride, and other events, to avoid funding inappropriate sexualized content targeting kids.
  • Equity: We will not extend the Racial Equity Center which was established in 2020 as a special five-year initiative.
  • Supplier Diversity: We will evaluate supplier diversity programs and ensure they do not provide preferential treatment and benefits to suppliers based on diversity. We don't have quotas and won't going forward. Financing eligibility will no longer be predicated on providing certain demographic data.
  • LatinX: Walmart will no longer use the term in official communications.
  • Trainings: Walmart will discontinue racial equity training through the Racial Equity Institute.
  • DEI: Walmart will discontinue the use of DEI as a term while ensuring a respectful and supportive environment. Our focus is on Belonging for ALL associates and customers.
Starbuck continued:

Remember, Walmart is the #1 employer in America with over 1.6 Million Employees and they have a market cap of nearly $800B. This won't just have a massive effect for their employees who will have a neutral workplace without feeling that divisive issues are being injected but it will also extend to their many suppliers.

We've now changed policy at companies worth over $2 Trillion dollars, with many millions of employees who have better workplace environments as a result. I'm happy to have secured these changes before Christmas when shoppers have very few large retail brands they can spend money with who aren't pushing woke policies. Companies like Amazon and Target should be very nervous that their top competitor dropped woke policies first. I think Target specifically will suffer serious sales problems as a result and Walmart will benefit.

Our campaigns are now so effective that we're getting the biggest companies on earth to change their policies without me even posting a story outlining their woke policies.
Companies can clearly see that America wants normalcy back. The era of wokeness is dying right in front of our eyes. The landscape of corporate America is quickly shifting to sanity and neutrality. We are now the trend, not the anomaly.

We are winning and one by one we WILL bring sanity back to corporate America.

As DEI initiatives are being eliminated across corporate America, just wait until Trump steps into the White House in mid-January. A massive overhaul is expected to strip toxic woke policies from all facets of government — including the military.

Swapping out DEI for "MEI": Merit, Excellence, and Intelligence ... will move America forward.

How do I get this guy to target the company I’m working for? Asking for a friend.

This is the same Ferrari that blacklists you from purchasing a new one if you violate their sanctimonious rules about driving and modifying a car of theirs you purchased and owned with your own money. Its the same Ferrari that makes you 'graduate' up the ladder by refusing to sell you higher-performance models if you haven't owned one before.

Just buy a Corvette.
