The good news is that virtually no one is buying these woke dumpster fires. 2024 is the year that gamers revolted against the GAY, and are winning.
Concord bombed so hard that Sony withdrew it from sale and refunded the few people that bought it. They also had to increase the price of PS5's in Japan to cover the 100 million + loss. The devs are toast.
Ubisoft shares have crashed repeatedly with Star War Outlaws and AC:Shadows mired in controversy, and looking to be D.O.A. Shareholders are in revolt and Ubi may actually go down.
Flintlock: Siege of Dawn, with the ugly black female protagonist, flopped massively, and there are mass lay-offs planned.
The years' most woke game, Dustborn, is a disaster. The dev studio will probably close down, although, incredibly, they were taxpayer funded.
Dead Rising has been rejected by gamers and is in trouble. It tried to censor certain aspects of the original.
Silent Hill 2 remake, that made Angela into a fat cat-lady, is going to fail. The devs are begging players to give it a chance. They won't.
Alan Wake 2, that had a race-swapped Marie-Sue character for the protagonist, and made Alan a secondary PC, had a poor reception with players.
Dragon Age trailers are getting ratio'd, and the game is set to bomb, with very low pre-orders reported.
Woke titles Fairgame$ and Unknown 9 Awakening are both set to bomb.
In contrast, games with strong masculinity like Warhammer Space Marine 2, or strong femininity, like Stellar Blade, have had huge sales. The wokeness-free Black Myth Wukong has also sold millions of copies.

After another $200 Million spent, a free public beta was released.
It peaked at only 2000 concurrent players. That should have set off alarm bells.

Is that "black lives splatter" game still around? I saw some gen Z kids playing it at a computer arcade in a mall a few months back, made me laugh. I remember when it came out, the first level was all the blacks, the next it was a bunch of antifa, and every level after a mix, every now and then there would a literal glow-jogger in there for extra points.
Ubisoft is in full panic mode after the bad sales of Star Wars Outlaws, and has put back AC: Shadows to February 2025. This is supposedly for more polishing, but there are many other possible reasons as the game has been mired in endless controversy, much of it to do with historical accuracy and insulting the Japanese.

I intend to play something light-hearted later on. just for the sake of relaxing, taking my mind off things, giving work and studies some rest. I had taken to re-playing all of my favourite NES games in japanese, putting my knowledge of this language to practice and reviewing basic grammar and vocabulary. it's been months since I last played anything at all, but it beats mindlessly browsing the web. this is the real evil I need to overcome.
I'm not sure if this counts as a little known secret. but I have derived a great deal of pleasure playing while listening to audio books, especially the classics. you can get pretty much all of them on librivox.org. youtube also has plenty of audiobooks in several languages. one of the untold benefits of this platform. at one point I started downloading as much as I could lest (((they))) suddenly take everything down.
regardless, it's an enjoyable experience overall. it works equally well with podcasts. one of my most relished moments was playing secret of mana while stefan molyneaux was ragging on a jamaican woman in favour of open borders while living in canada......

Late but what's crystal legacy like? I watched the Funke video on pokemon's pacing and I remembered this post.
He mentions crystal clear in the comments which is crystal, but with no road blocks and you can even choose whatever town you want to start the game in.
For me, ruby is still my favorite pokemon game. I grew up with Y, and I played a bit of gen 1 but didn't like it nearly as much as gen 3. I have vanilla crystal installed and that seems good.
No... they hate this stuff and were very vocal about the Assassin's Creed trash.
Ubisot's stock went from $90 a share to $9 a share. Sony lost $400 million+ on Concord which shut down two weeks after launch. Volition studio shut down after turn Saint's Row gangsters into Saint's Row SJW's..... I am enjoying seeing the "Get woke, go broke." of modern gaming.
