"Strike of the Russian Armed Forces on the bridge in Staryi Saltiv. May 11, 2024
Today, footage of a night strike of the Russian Armed Forces on a bridge over the Seversky Donets River near the village of Staryi Saltiv appeared, into which an X-38 aircraft missile definitely flew.
The object has a very interesting history: The first time the bridge near Staryi Saltiv was blown up by the Armed Forces of Ukraine themselves on March 5, 2022, in order to prevent the advance of the Russian Armed Forces in the vicinity of Kharkov. By the end of summer of 2022, the Armed Forces of Ukraine built a pontoon crossing next to the ruins to reach the other side of the Seversky Donets, and by the winter of 2023 it was partially restored, installing a railway span for pedestrian passage in place of the destroyed part.
Coordinates: 50.0770875, 36.8116638
Although the recording was made from a great distance and in the dark, in the video you can see both a powerful explosion and parts “moving away” in different directions. Therefore, we can confidently say that the crossing in this section is again out of action.
A successful Russian strike will complicate the logistics of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and hamper the transfer of equipment to the left bank of the river, which is especially important against the backdrop of the offensive of the Russian Armed Forces in the border area. Therefore, in the near future the enemy will obviously try to quickly build new pontoon crossings."
