In the Donetsk direction, a significant advance of the Russian Armed Forces is recorded - the village of Pervomaiske has completely come under the full control of Russian forces.

Units of the 9th Motor Rifle Brigade of the 1st Army Corps hoisted Russian flags on the western outskirts of the village. Thus, the RF Armed Forces now have the road to Netailove open. And this settlement is the southern node of the enemy’s defenses on the Orlivka-Umanske-Netailove line.
To the south of Pervomaiske, towards Nevelske in the area of the Domakha Gully, the situation is hidden by the fog of war. The enemy could either rolled back, having previously mined the approaches, or still maintains a focal presence to put pressure on the flank of the advancing group of the Russian Armed Forces.
Offensive actions also resumed in Krasnohorivka. Footage of attacks by armored groups of the Russian Armed Forces and landings on both sides of the railway began to appear on the Internet.

In the area of Bilohorivka, in the Siversk sector, fighting continues in the vicinity of the Popasnyansky water utility plant. The Russian Armed Forces have latched onto the eastern outskirts of the chalk quarry dump, and, according to some data, are moving south of the settlement.

The advance of the Russian Armed Forces is also recorded north of Vesele, where fighters of the "Zarya" Battalion, having established control over an enemy stronghold east of the railway, carried out a daring attack on motorcycles under artillery cover.

Judging by the published footage, the enemy was pushed back, and then cut off by artillery. Assault detachments of the Russian Army advanced almost 2 kilometers north towards the Vyimka.
At the same time, attacks are being carried out on places where the Armed Forces of Ukraine gather forces in the rear areas. In particular, for the third day in a row, explosions thundered in Slavyansk: arrivals were recorded on the railway tracks in the Slavkurort area, as well as on the territory of the aviation college, which could easily have been used to accommodate personnel.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine are trying to stabilize the defenses - transfer of personnel has been noticed in Lyman and nearby settlements. These units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are not equipped with armored vehicles and are equipped only with small arms and anti-tank weapons. However, their appearance in Lyman does not mean that they will necessarily be sent to Siversk, taking into account the ongoing battles near the Torske ledge, where Russian troops are storming the outskirts of the village of Terny."

For the entire time of the attacks on energy facilities of the so-called Ukraine, there were no strikes at the Trypillya Thermal Power Plant, as well as at some other large stations - for example, Dobrotvorskaya Thermal Power Plant.
Tonight's blow to the Trypilska Thermal Power Plant had very serious consequences for the power plant: the fire spread throughout the entire turbine hall. Probably, the thermal power plant ran on reserve fuel - fuel oil, which contributed to the spread of the fire. A fire can also be seen on one of the generator transformers.
Judging by the scale of the fire, there is nothing left to restore in the engine room of the Trypilska TPP, which in addition to generating power for the Keiv energy hub, played an important role in maneuvering power in the energy system of the so-called Ukraine using a fast-controlled turbogenerator. At the moment the station is stopped and is unlikely to be able to return to work.
The loss of the Trypilska TPP will not pass without a trace and will greatly reduce the already rather precarious reliability of the Ukrainian energy system, which now lives largely due to three nuclear power plants and energy flows from the European Union.
However, it is still necessary to disable the 330 kV open switchgear located on the territory of the Trypilska TPP, which, even when the station is stopped, is involved in the transit and distribution of electricity throughout the center of the so-called Ukraine."

Update on the April 11th Russian air strikes.

At night, the Russian Armed Forces launched a combined strike with drones, ballistic and cruise missiles against energy infrastructure facilities in six regions of the so-called Ukraine.
The disabling of the Trypillya Thermal Power Plant can be considered a great success of the raid. The first blow to the station since the beginning of the SMO turned out to be fatal - a powerful fire that arose destroyed the equipment in the turbine room.
In Kharkov, the blow hit CHPP-3, but the power outages were partially eliminated. The stability of the city's energy system is ensured by the still operating open switchgear (OSD) at the stopped Zmievskaya TPP, where two 330 kV high-voltage lines from the center of the country converge.
In the Zaporozhye region, the target of the attack was the Zaporozhye 750 substation, through which power is transmitted from the South Ukrainian Nuclear Power Plant. A fire broke out at the facility, although the extent of damage is unknown.
Strikes were also recorded at the Bilche-Volitsko-Uherskoye underground gas storage facility, which was already the second blow to the facility. Explosions also occurred in the area of the Dobrotvir thermal power plant in the same Lviv region, where there had been no attacks before.
Problems with power supply began to be observed in two more regions - Ivano-Frankivsk and Vinnitsa. The first is the Burshtynska Thermal Power Plant, and on the border with the second is the Dniester Hydroelectric Power Station.
Moreover, the population of the entire country was urged to reduce electricity consumption during peak consumption. Previously, the Ukrainian energy system was able to “smooth out” such peaks by hydroelectric power plants and thermal power plants with secondary frequency control devices: Burshtynska, Dobrotvorska and Trypilska. Stopping the latter alone would not lead to such serious consequences even with all the other problems of the power system. Based on these indirect signs, it can be assumed that in reality the number of Ukrainian energy infrastructure facilities attacked was even greater."

In addition to the fighting west of Avdiivka, Russian troops are also advancing on the northern flank.
In the Novokalynove area, the Russian Armed Forces occupied several forest belts south of the settlement. The fortified area is being attacked by aircraft and artillery, and the enemy is trying to counterattack.
Information also appeared about the successful actions of the Russian Armed Forces inside the settlement, along the Stepovaya Street, in the area of the highway to Keramik. Most likely, the offensive is somewhat broader, but it is still difficult to determine the exact configuration of the contact line.
Heavy fighting continues near Berdychi, as well as in the fields west of Tonenke. According to some reports, the Russian Armed Forces have reached the outskirts of Umanske, but so far there is no confirmation of this information."

To the west of Avdiivka, Russian troops are advancing on a broad front, building on their success at the Netailove-Yasnobrodivka-Umanske line.
In the fields between Pervomaiske and Tonenke, the assault detachments of the Russian Armed Forces, under the cover of armored vehicles, advanced in an area up to three kilometers wide to a depth of up to 2.8 kilometers, taking control of several forest belts east of Yasnobrodivka. The road connecting Netailove with Yasnobrodivka is just two kilometers away.
Near Umanske, the Russian Armed Forces are moving west, only less than a kilometer remains to go to the outskirts of the settlement. According to incoming information, the enemy is preparing to withdraw from the southern part of the village beyond the Umanske pond.
There are no significant changes in Semenivka: fighting continues in the central part of the village.
In the Berdychi area, the Russian Armed Forces cleared the northern outskirts of the settlement, taking control of the remaining houses on the Tsentralnaya Street.
On the northern flank, Russian troops are developing an offensive in the Novokalynove area. In recent days, control has been established over several forest belts on the southern outskirts of the village. Currently, military personnel of the Russian Armed Forces are fighting within the boundaries of the settlement in the area of Stepovaya Street."

The Russian Armed Forces continue to advance in the Novokalynove area, north of Avdiivka. According to our data, Russian forces managed to advance north almost to the intersection of Stepovaya and Pershotravneva streets (route O0544).
At the same time, the situation in the Berdychi-Semenivka sector, where the Russian Armed Forces are also advancing, has become somewhat clearer. Most of Semenivka came under the control of Russian forces, but the enemy presence remains on the northern outskirts.️ In addition, the western part of Berdychi came back under enemy control - apparently, the assault detachments of the Russian Armed Forces that reached the outskirts, were forced to retreat behind the pond due to difficulties with supplies and constant counterattacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the Kazberova Street and the ruins of the agricultural airport.
The supply problems are a result of the destruction of the dams through which communication lines went to Berdychi. In fact, from the eastern to the western outskirts and vice versa, one can only go on foot or extremely slowly by vehicle, which is obviously very difficult in a combat situation. Apparently, this is precisely the reason of the intensification of Russian attacks in fields and plantings north of the settlement, where progress is very slow due to the complex mine situation."

Russian troops are advancing into Krasnohorivka from the southern and eastern outskirts of the city. According to the latest information, about half of the residential sector south of the railway came under the control of the Russian Armed Forces, and the assault detachments managed to reach the train station some time ago. This is partly confirmed by the concentration of the enemy strikes on various buildings in the south of the town, while the Russian Armed Forces are striking with FABs, with UMPC, the territory of the Krasnohorivka Refractory Plant and the ruins of the industrial zone to the south of it.
To the north of the railway, there is also progress of the Russian Armed Forces in the residential sector and in the vicinity of the Vatutina Street. However, no attempts to advance from Staromykhailivka have yet been observed, since fields in this area are very well targeted by the enemy, and there are fortifications dating back to the days of the Minsk Agreements.
To the north of Krasnohorivka, in the Nevelske-Pervomaiske sector, the Russian Armed Forces some time ago began eliminating the “pocket” in the area of the Domakha Gully. Russian units occupied the territory of the orchards at least to the outskirts of the gully, while at the same time, the rest of the “pocket,” apparently, has been at least partially abandoned by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but was not yet occupied by the Russian Armed Forces due to the complex mine situation and counteraction from enemy drones."

Crimea - 17.04.2024

"Missile strike on Dzhankoi airfield. April 17, 2024

At night the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked the airfield in Dzhankoi. About 12 ATACMS tactical ballistic missiles were used for the strike, most likely launched from the Kherson region.
The attack was carried out in two waves. The first strike involved seven missiles, apparently with cluster warheads, and the second used at least five more. Some damaged the equipment at the airfield, and some damaged one of the buildings.

Both MGM-140A with a range of up to 165 km and MGM-140B with a combat radius of 300 km could be used for the attack. When launched from the outskirts of Kherson, the Armed Forces of Ukraine can easily reach Dzhankoi even with the old versions of the ATACMS.
As with previous attacks, an American RQ-4B drone unhinderedly patrolled the airspace south of Crimea and monitored the operation. But even without him, the enemy received the necessary information “thanks to” the actions of pro-Ukrainian residents of the city, as well as some minors, there is clear footage of arrivals on the internet, from which the necessary conclusions can be drawn. How and why residents of Russian Crimea are still not afraid of the consequences of such actions is a rhetorical question. The lack of real punitive measures affects the ability to detain and prosecute such citizens, and this already puts our military personnel at risk.
Ukrainian formations, meanwhile, are conducting preparations for more massive attacks on the peninsula. A couple of days ago there was an unsuccessful attempt to strike the command and control post in Berdyansk, and today the airfield was attacked. The goal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is, in principle, obvious: deprive our units of coordination by hitting command posts, and inflict maximum damage on the air defense forces. It is precisely the fulfillment of these two goals, taking into account the already weakened fleet, that the Armed Forces of Ukraine need before attacking the Crimean Bridge."

In the morning, Russian Armed Forces struck Chernihiv, hitting the Profsoyuznaya Hotel on the Shevchenko Street in the northeastern part of the city. After the missiles hit, the building partially collapsed.

Despite attempts of the Ukrainian resources to once again portray the incident as an attack on civilian infrastructure, in reality the facility was used for military purposes. This is indicated at least by the army-standard bunk beds in the destroyed hotel in the photos, as well as footage of the evacuation of the wounded in uniforms.


According to preliminary data, the building housed the personnel of the 5th Separate Communications Regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Although there is no exact number of enemy casualties yet, activists of the Kiev regime report the death of a large number of members of Ukrainian formations."

Doubt it. I'd like to be surprised, but it's not the first time we're seeing this story - last year both Budanov and Zaluzhny disappeared for more then a month and everybody was thinking that they're dead, or undergoing treatment in the west, and now we have almost identical story about Budanov and general Tarnavsky. Still, there's always a chance that he got killed, but if it's true this time, then it would be the most anticlimactic death of a villain ever - the strike that allagedly took his life, was just a standard strike (there are dozens of such strikes every day) on some random training grounds in the Kharkov region, so small that it didn't even warrant its own analysis.

Donetsk-Avdiivka - 18.04.2024

Russian troops continue to develop success north of Avdiivka.
The assault detachments of the Russian Armed Forces took full control of the Zarya gardening cooperative, advancing 2.5 kilometers to the north, and catching on to the outskirts of Ocheretyne near the Ocheretyne-Tyahova substation. At the moment, fighting is taking place along Zheleznodorozhnaya and Franka streets in the south of the village, where Russian troops are consolidating positions on the front lines and establishing supply lines.
Such a successful advance became possible thanks to a swift attack on the positions of the 115th Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which, after suffering losses, was forced to abandon their strongholds in the Zarya gardening cooperative and retreat in the direction of Ocheretyne.
Advancing along the railway, covered under forest belts, Russian units bypassed the trenches dug by the enemy in Ocheretyne from the rear and captured part of the positions adjacent to the village without significant resistance.
The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine expected the offensive of Russian troops to come from Novobakhmutivka, but the Russian Armed Forces struck directly without flank attacks, carrying out only a few distracting attacks in the direction of Novobakhmutivka.
At the moment, the enemy is urgently transferring reinforcements from the 30th Mechanized and 59th Motorized Brigades, trying to prevent the Russian Armed Forces from breaking through into the central part of Ocheretyne, which is located on a hill relative to Novokalynove and Novobakhmutivka - from where it becomes possible to control the surrounding area."

Two missiles with cluster warheads covered the parking lot in the western part of the airfield, where three MiG-29 fighters were located. Some of the submunitions exploded in the immediate vicinity of the aircraft, and with a high probability the airframes received serious damage from shrapnel.

April 19, 2024 - Russian Tu-22 bomber crashed in the Stavropol Krai, 400 km away from the front - considering the distance, and the fact that strategic bombers do not operate over ukraine but launch missiles from standoff distances (in this case most likely from the airspace over the Caspian Sea) the reason of the crash was the plane's malfunction (allegedly the engines lost power).

At night, the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out a massive attack on various regions of Russia. The Russian Ministry of Defense reported on the destruction of 50 drones shot down and intercepted by electronic warfare and air defense systems.
- 26 UAVs in the Belgorod region
- 10 UAVs in the Bryansk region
- 8 UAVs in the Kursk region
- 2 UAVs in the Tula region
- one each in Smolensk, Ryazan, Kaluga and Moscow regions.
In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine were able to attack several objects with drones in the border zone of the Belgorod region.

Donetsk-Avdiivka - 22.04.2024

"Battle for Ocheretyne. The situation as of 13:00 /Moscow time/ April 22, 2024

Russian troops are rapidly pushing through enemy defenses to the north of Avdiivka.
Assault detachments of the Russian Armed Forces took full control of the Ocheretyne railway station, advancing along the Zheleznodorozhnaya Street 1.2 kilometers to the northwest. Russian troops are also establishing positions along the streets located south of the railway station.
At the moment, there is no information about control over the northern part of the village behind the railway. In the surrounding area there are several more solid buildings that the enemy can use for defense: the territory of the Altkom brick factory, a school and a local water utility.
Footage published online by the enemy shows a M2A2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicle from the 47th Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine firing at the positions of the Russian Armed Forces, from the outskirts of the village. According to Ukrainian resources, the 47th Brigade was urgently transferred as a “fire brigade” to plug a gap in the defense after the escape of individual Ukrainian units from Ocheretyne.

The situation is developing dynamically, and it is possible that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will not have enough strength to hold back the advance of the Russian Army. If Ukrainian formations lose control over Ocheretyne, then the fall of Novobakhmutivka and Novokalynove will only be a matter of time."

In addition to the progress north of Avdiivka, the Russian Armed Forces are consolidating the successes of previous days in the Vuhledar sector.
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the complete control of Russian troops over Novomykhailivka. At the moment, the western outskirts of the village are being cleared of the remnants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the same time, to the north of the village there are still battles in the Mashinostroitel gardening cooperative.
The road is open for the Russian Armed Forces to attack Paraskoviivka and Kostyanyinivka, which is the key transport hub of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area.️ Control over Kostyanyinivka will complicate the logistics of Ukrainian formations along the Vuhledar-Marinka highway and create the preconditions for the formation of a “cauldron” around the enemy’s Vuhledar group."
