Russian air strikes - February 27, 2024

"Russian Armed Forces strikes on enemy facilities. February 27, 2024.

Last night, Russian Armed Forces carried out further attacks on enemy targets in various regions of the so-called Ukraine. Explosions occurred in the occupied part of the DPR, as well as in the Kharkov, Sumy, Dnepropetrovsk, Kirovograd, Poltava, Khmelnitsky and even Rivne regions - in most regions the enemy’s air defense systems were activated.
Once again, aviation infrastructure facilities and temporary deployment points for personnel were chosen as targets for the raid. To defeat them, both ballistic missiles and kamikaze drones “Geran-2” were used.
Poltava: two strikes were carried out on the territory of the air base where the 18th Separate Army Aviation Brigade named after Igor Sikorsky (18 OBrAA, military unit A3384) is deployed. As a result of the strike, a Mi-24 attack helicopter was destroyed. Three more aircraft were also damaged, including a Mi-8MSB.
Kirovograd: one of the missiles managed to reach the airbase in Oleksandriya, which is in use by the National Guard. As a result of the strike, a fire broke out at the facility, and repeated sounds of explosions were recorded, which may indicate signs of a secondary detonation. Rescue operations are currently ongoing.
Sumy: "Geran-2" UAVs hit the territory of an agricultural enterprise near the village of Khoten, which was used by the enemy as a temporary storage point for equipment.
In the occupied territories of the DPR: strikes were carried out on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Toretsk, Kurakhove and Lyman.
Air bases in Poltava and Oleksandriya were targets of destruction at the beginning of the SMO and, most likely, were included in the list of “incapacitated.” In this regard, in the understanding of individuals, they could no longer be used - while the enemy was actively restoring and developing the flight infrastructure. It is possible to disable air bases only through regular massive attacks by heavy artillery and FABs, which is currently impossible due to their large distance from the contact line. The last few days have shown us a qualitatively different approach - Russian Armed Forces are actively working on the aviation infrastructure, delivering effective strikes in many regions of the so-called Ukraine. Of course, such actions cannot lead to the complete destruction of objects, but their consequences at least limit the enemy’s ability to conduct air operations."

Zaporozhye - 27.02.2024

"The situation in the Orikhiv sector as of 14:00 /Moscow time/ February 27, 2024

Russian units are advancing in the Robotyne salient. According to some yet unconfirmed data, the enemy completely lost control of Robotyne - the village itself and to the area west of it are hidden by the “fog of war.”
At the moment battles are taking place in area of the Mala Tokmachka-Verbove transmission line. Russian forces were able to advance in several tree lines to the northwest of Verbove, knocking out the enemy from several strongholds.
However, to the south of the transmission line, the enemy presence remains in the forest belts west of Verbove. Ukrainian formations have repeatedly tried to counterattack in this area, but to date have been unsuccessful."

Zaporozhye (Hulyaipole - east of Orikhiv sector) - 27.02.2024

"The situation in the Hulyaipole sector by the end of February 27, 2024

Another sector of the front, which had been in a static state for a long time, came to life.
Assault detachments of the Russian Armed Forces advanced by about a kilometer north of Martfopil, in a night attack. According to preliminary information, the enemy was at least partially driven out of the Hulyaipole holiday village dachas near the Haichur River.
Units of the 102nd Territorial Defense Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which lost several observation posts as a result of the Russian attack, tried to counterattack, but were unsuccessful. Further advance of the Russian Armed Forces in this area is quite possible given the dispersal of enemy attention to other sectors of the front.
Although the Armed Forces of Ukraine have concrete fortifications at their disposal in Chervone, they are limited in maneuvers by the Haichur River. The road to Hulyaipole is devoid of barriers, but is heavily mined.
At the same time, neighboring Hulyaipole, Chervone and Zelenyi Hai are systematically attacked by artillery, aviation and UAVs of the Russian Army.
Whether this is part of the offensive operation plan or just a one-time successful advance - time will tell. After all, back in the fall, Russian fighters were already advancing in this area, reaching the reservoir adjacent to Chervone and gaining a foothold there. Then the Russian soldiers managed to enter the Hulyaipole dachas, having mined the approaches to them, however, artillery fire of the Armed Forces of Ukraine did not allow us to gain a foothold, and the territory actually remained in the gray zone - apparently, until now."

Russian air strikes - February 28, 2024

"Strikes by the Russian Armed Forces against enemy facilities. February 28, 2024.

Russian Armed Forces continue to systematically hit enemy targets both near the line of contact and in the rear regions of the so-called Ukraine.
Last night, attacks were carried out on the Dnepropetrovsk, Odessa, Kharkov, Sumy regions, as well as the occupied part of the Kherson region and the DPR. Ballistic missiles, aircraft and "Geran-2" UAVs were used to engage targets.
In the occupied territory of the DPR: in Pokrovsk the headquarters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Donetsk direction, located in the building of the Donetsk National Technical University, was hit.

In addition, in the village of Predtechino, an ammunition depot in a rural club was destroyed; local residents reported a prolonged secondary detonation. And in the villages of Novoselovka Persha and Zhelanne, temporary deployment points of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were hit.
Kharkov region: enemy warehouses in Fedorivka, Kupyansk district, which housed heavy armored vehicles and ammunition, were attacked. Russian artillery is also suppressing the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of the settlements of Pletenivka, Synkivka, Kozachy Lopari and Gatishche.
Odessa: once again kamikaze drones “Geran-2” flew across the port infrastructure, destroying a naval drones warehouse on the territory of the Yuzhny Sea Trade Port.

Kherson - 28.02.2024

"The situation in the Kherson direction by the end of February 28, 2024

In the Kherson direction, against the backdrop of static clashes and mutual strikes in Krynky, something out of the ordinary happened: today the so-called Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine tried to land on the Tendrovskaya/Tendra Spit on five boats.
The movement of watercraft was noticed in advance, to the west of the lighthouse, and the detachments of the Special Operations Forces were fired upon from machine guns, mortars and anti-tank systems. As a result, three boats were damaged and sank, one washed ashore, and another turned around and went back.
In a boat found near the shore, four liquidated special forces soldiers and one wounded were found, who was captured and interrogated, establishing that they belonged to the landing groups of the 73rd Maritime Special Operations Center.
On the eve of the attack, three Bayraktar drones were operating in the area of Odessa, Yuzhny and Ochakiv, and at the time of the attack, two UAVs from the Voznesensk and Dolgintsevo airfields were patrolling over the Black Sea, guiding the commandos.
Considering the intensification of the enemy in this particular area, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, apparently, decided to implement last year’s plan for a landing on the left bank of the Dnieper, covering several areas, to a limited extent. This is also indicated by the fact that there is currently a massive recruitment into marine brigades, as well as the transfer of soldiers from the Territorial Defence Forces to the Marine Corps. They are trained along the Inhulets River to cross water barriers. In addition, formations of the 255th battalion of the 123rd Territorial Defense Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine arrived from Chernihov to strengthen the forward lines.
At the same time, the intensity of artillery fire from the Ukrainian Armed Forces has increased in recent days. Just today Russian air defense units intercepted HIMARS MLRS shells in the vicinity of Chaplinka. Guidance was provided by a Tekever AR2 drone from the Kulbakyne airfield, which flew west of Kherson and aimed the MLRS at the air defense positions, but to no avail."

Donetsk-Avdiivka - 28.02.2024

"The situation in the Avdiivka direction by the end of February 28, 2024

In the evening, reports appeared about a serious advance of the Russian Armed Forces in the area of Orlivka, to west of Avdiivka.
Earlier, the advancing units of the Russian Armed Forces managed to cling to the outskirts of the settlement and advance along the Elagin and Payukov Brothers streets. Later they reached a nearby dam, which made it possible to fire from the rear at the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine located in Orlivka.
During the day, the Russian Armed Forces gained a foothold in the center of the village, and by the evening they established control over its entire southern part: at the moment, they are clearing the northern outskirts, which are being intensively hit by Russian guided bombs.
To the north, in the Berdychi area, Ukrainian formations also began to retreat towards Umanske and Novopokrovske. As a result, by the end of the day, information appeared about the complete liberation of Berdychi by the Russian Armed Forces.
To the south, assault detachments of the Russian Army managed to completely liberate Tonenke.
After the retreat from Avdiivka, the Ukrainian formations failed to build a defense along the Orlivka-Berdychi line: it burst at the seams and was unable to delay the advance of Russian troops in a western direction. However, it is definitely not worth using loud language about “entering operational space” of the Armed Forces of Ukraine - to the north of Avdiivka, Ukrainian formations still occupy the fortified area in Ocheretyne, and to the west they are building new defense lines based on a network of settlements and reservoirs."

Russian troops completed clearing the northern outskirts of Orlivka - the village came under the full control of the Russian Armed Forces. At night, the remnants of the Ukrainian formations retreated in the direction of Umanske.
During the withdrawal, not only Russian, but also Ukrainian artillery struck the retreating units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Apparently, the enemy command is seeking to create a barrage of fire, even at the cost of friendly fire, just to slow down the pace of advance of the Russian Armed Forces and buy more time to prepare a new line of defense.
Against the background of the occupation of Tonenke and Berdychi by Russian troops, two small “half-cauldrons” practically formed at the site, in which members of the Ukrainian formations who did not have time to leave were squeezed. At the moment, they are being hit by fire.
The events of recent days have clearly shown that the attempts of the Ukrainian command to build a new line of defense along the eastern bank of the Durna River failed. Russian troops are unlikely to slow down, while the Ukrainian formations continue to retreat.
Considering yesterday’s liberation of Berdychi, the current configuration makes it possible for the Russian Army to reach the western bank of the Durna River, threatening the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Semenivka and to the west of it."

Russian air strikes - March 1, 2024

"Strike on facilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Kosytantynivka. March 1, 2024.

Russian Armed Forces continue to strike at locations and bases of enemy personnel in the front-line zone, including the temporarily occupied territory of the DPR.
In Kosytantynivka, west of Bakhmut, a massive attack was carried out on the objects of the Ukrainian formations.
- Temporary deployment points for enemy engineer-sapper and mechanized units in city outpatient clinic No.2 and kindergarten No.15 were hit, as a result of which more than ten personnel were killed, and over 20 were injured of varying degrees of severity.
- The city police department and the Security Service of Ukraine were also struck, but there is no information about the presence of personnel inside at the time of arrival.
- In addition, one of the missiles hit near the territory of Megatex LLC, where the positional area of the enemy electronic warfare system is located.
This is at least the third massive attack on Kosytantynivka in a week. The previous one was aimed at railway infrastructure and manpower bases.
The Russian Armed Forces have finally begun systematically launching strikes in order to reduce the combat capabilities of enemy forces in this direction."

During the day, Ukrainian formations, after a long break, again attacked the Crimean Peninsula. The raid can hardly be called large-scale, and it looks more like an attempt to interrupt the information feed in the wake of territorial losses near Avdeevka.
Two Su-24M bombers, which flew from Starokonstantinov in advance, and two MiG-29 fighters took off from the Kanatovo airfield to carry out the attack.
From the outskirts of Nikolaev, several ADM-160 MALD decoy missiles were first fired in the direction of Crimea. And then came the launch of four Storm Shadow/SCALP cruise missiles from the Su-24M.
The missiles were heading to the Belbek and Hvardiiske airfields. One of the targets was shot down near Chernomorske, another in the Kacha area. Two targets were intercepted on approach to Hvardiiske, and the third, after firing at it from an air defense missile system, fell on the airfield.
It is curious that another air target flying towards Crimea strayed from its original course, and instead of the Peninsula, flew in the direction of Turkey, and what happened to it after is unclear.
After that, two ballistic missiles were fired from the Tuzly region, Odessa, towards the Tendrovskaya Spit. Apparently, the Armed Forces of Ukraine wanted to hit the position of the Russian Armed Forces, which repelled the inglorious attack of their Special Operation Forces the other day. But since the S-200, whose accuracy is extremely low, was most likely used for the attack, the missiles fell into the water.
Summing up the above, airfields of the Russian Aerospace Forces again became the target of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This is the third airfield since the beginning of 2024 - before that there were Belbek and Saki. So the trend is quite obvious.
It is also interesting that housing Su-24M at Kanatovo has become more frequent and longer than before. Apparently, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are not afraid of attacks on this airfield. This is despite the fact that as a result of a week-long attack, the control tower at Kanatovo was hit."

"Alleged UAV attack in St. Petersburg. March 2, 2024

At night in St. Petersburg, an explosion occurred near a residential building on Piskarovskiy Avenue 161: a drone crashed into the building, visually reminiscent of the Mugin-5/PD-1 drone used by Ukrainian formations to attack targets in Russia.
Not far from the impact point there is the Ruchyi oil depot, which with a high probability was the target of the enemy attack. According to some reports, another drone was also involved in the raid, which allegedly crashed in a forest between Novy Devyatkino and Vsevolozhsk.
A characteristic point is that the detonation of the device occurred from the southwestern side of the house: this indirectly indicates that the flight path of the drone could pass directly through the city center. At the time, Pulkovo Airport operated as usual.
Where exactly the launch took place remains unknown at the moment.
There were no casualties or serious damage as a result of the incident."

"Massive UAV strike on Feodosia. March 3, 2024

At night, air defense units in Feodosia repelled another attack by Ukrainian forces. For the first time in a long time, the enemy carried out a massive raid of drones launched from the Zaporozhye region.
With 38 drones that crossed the path, skirting the location of air defense systems in the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, the Armed Forces of Ukraine intended to strike an oil depot in Feodosia.
As a result of the joint work of the assets of the 31st Air Defense Division of the Russian Armed Forces, including crews of the S-400 air defense system, the Pantsir-S1 air defense system, and rifle detachments of the Crimean defense groups, 36 drones were shot down.
However, one of the UAVs hit a pipeline at an oil depot. It was this sound that was mistaken for an explosion of the oil tanks. The resulting fire was extinguished without serious damage to the infrastructure. And another drone, having lost its course, fell on the Tavrida highway near Feodosia, where a civilian vehicle was damaged, and the area of the fall was cordoned off.
One important feature should be noted in the recent missile strike on Crimea and today’s raid: the Armed Forces of Ukraine are once again increasing their efforts to destroy targets in Crimea. It was quite expected that on the eve of the presidential elections in Russia, the Ukrainian authorities would try to create chaos and panic. And the closer the election date, the more intense the attempts will be. And their final goal is the Crimean Bridge."

Russian air strikes - March 3, 2024

"Strikes of the Russian Armed Forces against enemy facilities. March 3, 2024.

Last night, Russian Armed Forces launched a series of attacks on enemy targets in the Kharkov, Sumy, Dnepropetrovsk regions, as well as in the occupied territory of the DPR. Temporary deployment points of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the line of combat contact and border areas came under fire - ballistic missiles, rocket and cannon artillery, as well as tactical aviation were used.
In the occupied territory of the DPR: a massive strike was carried out on the enemy’s air traffic controllers in Myrnohrad, located in educational institutions of the city:
- Two ballistic missile hits hit the territory of the Harmony Lyceum (former school No.17), where there were about 100 personnel: at least half of them were eliminated, including two officers from the battalion’s leadership.
-Two more missiles destroyed the building of school No.5, where 22 members of the Ukrainian formation were killed, and more than 20 people were injured.
In Pokrovsk, as a result of a missile falling from a Ukrainian fighter, residential buildings in the Yuzhny microdistrict were damaged, several civilians were slightly injured.
Kharkov region: near the village of Verkhnya Pysarivka, a training center of the National Guard of Ukraine was hit: it was used by the foreign legion of the Main Intelligence Directorate, as well as by the Russians from the RDK and the “Legion “Freedom of Russia”” for training and education of personnel. The strike killed about 40 people.
Also under fire was one of the schools in Vovchansk, where personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, rotated from the Kupyansk direction were temporarily stationed."

Ukrainian sabotage in Russia - March 3, 2024

"Blown up railroad pylon in Chapaevsk. March 4, 2024.

This morning, the railway bridge over the Chapaevka River near the settlement of the same name in the Samara region was damaged as a result of an improvised explosive device.
According to local sources, the metal structures of the bridge, as well as the fence, were damaged. The concrete support itself was not damaged. The area was cordoned off, and passenger trains from Moscow were delayed.
The fact that there are citizens recruited by Ukrainian special services among Russians is far from news. Almost every week in various regions (mostly front-line) “sympathizers” of the so-called Ukraine are detained.
But more important in this story is where the sabotage was carried out - on the section of the Kuibyshev railway connecting Western Russia with Central and Siberia. It is through Chapaevsk that both passenger and freight trains run to Moscow. Moreover, the Kuibyshev railway line, in addition to transit through the region, serves all local industrial enterprises, from oil to automobile and aircraft factories. So the strike specifically on this area is not accidental."

At night, the Russian Armed Forces carried out another attack over the past few days on targets in Odessa using "Geran-2" kamikaze drones.
One of them was located at the location of personnel of the Territorial Defense Brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which was located on the territory of the Khadzhubey Sanatorium.
Another arrival was recorded on the territory of the Hydroport sports airfield: according to preliminary data, the target was the position of a Norwegian-made NASAMS air defense system.

Donetsk - 05.03.2024

"Battle for Krasnohorivka. Situation as of 08:00 /Moscow time/ March 5, 2024

In the Donetsk direction, Russian troops during the fighting were able to advance on the southern outskirts of Krasnohorivka and gain a foothold on Shkilna Street. At the moment, the fighting is taking place on March 8th Street.
To the east of the city, units of the Russian Armed Forces occupied a forest belt, near the railway and went out onto Vatutina Street. This indicates that an armored assault from the Butovskaya-2 mine area, which took place a few days ago, was ultimately successful. Currently, Russian units have established control over the roads from Heolohichna Street and across the field south of the railway line, which allows them to be used to transport forces and ammunition to forward positions.
In Heorhiivka, the situation remained covered in the “fog of war” for a long time due to the lack of objective evidence. However, it has now become known that Russian units, as a result of assault operations, reached Molodizhna Street in the central part of the village. However, holding these positions in the event of an assault will not be easy - Heorhiivka itself is located in a lowland, and the enemy still maintains control over the surrounding heights. Against the backdrop of the advance of the Russian Armed Forces, there is a possibility that the Armed Forces of Ukraine may leave the northern part of the settlement in order to level the front line along the Osikova River."

"The situation in the South Donetsk direction as of 09:00 /Moscow time/ March 5, 2024

In the South Donetsk direction, Russian troops continue the assault on Novomykhailivka from two directions, and are also consolidating their positions in the settlement.
As a result of the fighting, units of the 155th Marine Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces, advancing from the east, occupied seven more houses on Mira Street, reaching 13th Street.
At the same time, soldiers of the 68th Army Corps of the Russian Army coming from the south also achieved success by retaking the territory of the dairy farm. Previously, Russian troops had already taken this facility by storm, but were driven out of there during one of the enemy’s counterattacks.
The Church of the Miracle of St. Michael the Archangel also remains under the control of the Russian Armed Forces: although the area around it is being shot at from high-rise buildings to the north-west, Russian military personnel managed to gain a foothold and repel attacks from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The situation for the enemy in the Novomykhailivka area continues to deteriorate, but he does not yet plan to retreat from the settlement. The forces of the 79th Air Assault Brigade and other formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are trying to cling to every house, and also use FPV drones to attack supply routes of Russian troops participating in the assault on the village."

In the Zaporozhye direction, the enemy finally “came to his senses” after the offensive of the Russian Armed Forces at the end of February, which cost the Armed Forces of Ukraine the loss of Robotyne and several strongholds. Ukrainian formations have deployed reinforcements and are actively counter-attacking.
In the middle of the day, the enemy took offensive actions in the area of the school, which is one of the few more or less surviving buildings in the almost completely destroyed village. Servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces occupying it repelled the onslaught and held their position.
On the western outskirts of the village there were clashes for the past 24 hours.
At the same time, attempts to storm enemy strongholds in the forest belts at the Novoprokopivka-Verbove line continue.
In recent days, the enemy’s pressure on Robotyne and its environs continues to grow. The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is bringing into battle the units redeployed to this sector, which are being staffed with personnel in Orikhiv and other settlements.
Another problem for Russian troops are FPV drone attacks on supply and evacuation routes, which complicates supply at captured positions and makes it difficult to consolidate on them. Therefore, in the coming days, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will most likely intensify their attacks on Robotyne in order to force the Russian Armed Forces to withdraw from the lines occupied at the end of February."

March 6 - Geran-2 kamikaze drones visited Odessa, during a meeting between Zelensky and the Greek prime minister.

" Today the Russian Armed Forces struck the port infrastructure of Odessa, which in recent days has often become the target of “Geraniums”.
However, the main nuance is that at that moment Vladimir Zelensky and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, who arrived to meet with him, should have been in the city.
The arrival of the drones even gave rise to rumors about the possible death of the leader of the so-called Ukraine, in the wake of which he even spoke publicly a few hours later.
Greek media reported that the explosion actually occurred while Zelensky’s motorcade was in the city, 150 meters from the location of the delegation from Hellas.
It is curious that the Western media covered the episode rather sparingly, in fact simply rewriting news from the Greek mass media. There was also no relishing in the details characteristic of similar episodes in the past years in their publications. Let us note on our own that the movement of the leader of the so-called Ukraine is recorded much more carefully than it might seem from the outside.

Therefore, it is unlikely that Zelensky or his motorcade was the real target of today’s attack: moreover, in the evening the Russian Ministry of Defense already officially announced that the target of the attack was a hangar with naval drones.
But this does not mean at all that all coincidences are random, and the morning blow did not have any symbolic meaning."

In the Donetsk direction, Russian troops during the fighting were able to advance in two sectors of the front at once.
On the southern outskirts of Krasnohorivka, the Russian Armed Forces during the assault were able to advance along Heolohichna Street to the railway. Now Russian military personnel have managed to gain a foothold on the outskirts of Lermontova and Zaliznychna streets - quite a significant achievement considering that the enemy several days ago transferred up to two battalions from an unidentified unit to hold the settlement. However, moving further north will not be a cakewalk, the central part of Krasnohorivka can rightfully be considered one large industrial zone, which is difficult to storm. Without support from those attacking from the east, it is much easier for Ukrainian formations to defend themselves.
A little further south, in Heorhiivka, there are also significant successes: assault detachments of the Russian Armed Forces were able to occupy almost the entire territory adjacent to the Osikova River, both from the south and from the north. The most difficult task now will be to consolidate the occupied territories, since Heorhiivka is located in a lowland, and positions near the reservoir are under fire from the heights near the Krasnohorivka Nature Reserve, which makes it difficult to storm the settlement.
Nevertheless, the success of the Russian Armed Forces north of Pobjeda may contribute to this. After the liberation of the village, there was practically no news from there, but according to the latest data, Russian troops expanded the zone of control to the H15 road - this road is located higher than Heorhiivka, and with further development of success in this area, the Armed Forces of Ukraine may find themselves semi-encircled, which may also force the enemy to retreat to more advantageous lines in Maksymilyanivka."

Ukrainian formations are not giving up attempts to push Russian fighters out of their occupied positions at the Berdychi-Orlivka-Tonenke line.
Forces from 7 brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been brought to the site, whose task is to seize the initiative, prevent a breakthrough of the Russian Armed Forces and gain time to dig in the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Semenivka, Yasnobrodivka, Umanske and Novopokrovske.
Up to 105 enemy battalions from 15 brigades are involved in the entire Pokrovsk direction. In the first echelon there are surviving units of the 3rd Separate Assault PR Brigade “Azov”, as well as the 80th Air Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. While units of the 61st Mechanized Brigade are going on the defensive, and the 120th Territorial Defense Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has been transferred to the site.
A status quo has developed in Berdychi: the western part of the village came back under enemy control, the eastern part is under the stable control of the Russian Armed Forces. Army aviation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine operates to the west of the settlement, but does not fly into Berdychi itself.
The northwestern tip of Orlivka is still a battle zone; neither side can achieve confident success.
Semenivka is used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine as a hub for the distribution of assault groups, which are thrown into battle both in Berdychi and Orlivka. Russian artillery and aviation are operating along the forward positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and their communication routes.
In the northwestern part of Tonenke, another counter-attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the position of the 1st Motor Rifle Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces was repulsed.
At the same time, the enemy groups remain present in the half-cauldrons between those settlements. Due to the extensive network of trenches and strongholds, as well as minefields, Russian troops are so far limited to inflicting fire damage on them."

In the Kherson region, there were not particularly noticeable at first glance, but significant changes in the tactics of the Ukrainian formations along the entire line of contact.
First of all, one can note an increase in the intensity of the fire on the left bank. For this, FPV drones, artillery, mortars, tanks, and aircraft are used - in Krynky alone, on average there are at least 60 shellings per day. And in recent days, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been increasingly using MiG-29s from the Voznesensk airfield to drop guided bombs.
A sharp increase in fire may be associated both with preparations for crossing the river, and with another, more likely, option - a sortie in a completely different area, and what is happening now is nothing more than a distraction.
This is indicated by the increased attention of Western satellites to the Kinburn Peninsula, the southwestern part of the Kherson region and the Tendrovskaya Spit, where the inglorious attack of the Ukrainian Special Operations Forces was recently defeated.
In addition, at the Kizomys-Veletenske line a cluster of units of the Special Operations Forces “South” was noted. They are practicing crossing water barriers, and are also actively using drones to reconnaissance the positions of the Russian Armed Forces.
At the same time, Turkish-made Bayraktar drones from the Voznesensk and Uman airfields fly daily north of Ochakiv and in the Yuzhne area, also monitoring Russian troops. And a Portuguese Tekever drone operates from the Kulbakino airfield along the Dnieper. As we can see, Kulbakino is used as a jump site for relatively small drones.
Against this background, it would be foolish not to talk about possible threats in this direction. Especially remembering the love of the Ukrainian authorities for symbolism. The presidential elections in Russia are just around the corner, so provocations are not excluded."

During the day, Ukrainian formations attacked three different regions of Russia, launching drones from the Sumy region at intervals of several hours. But what matters is not where they were flying from, but where they were going.
In Belgorod, Kursk, and Voronezh regions, the Armed Forces of Ukraine tried to hit oil facilities. And in some places, such as in Zheleznogorsk, Ukrainian units succeeded.
All three oil depots are located in populated areas near the front-line zone of the so-called Ukraine, and all three have developed railway connections, used, among other things, in the interests of the Russian Armed Forces.
Of course, such raids will not cut off fuel supplies of the Russian Army at all, but an important fact should be taken into account: cheap drones cause damage to multimillion-dollar infrastructure when they hit. And this creates problems not only for Russian troops, but also for the ordinary population, as well as industrial enterprises."

"Massive Ukrainian drone raid. March 9, 2024

Tonight, the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out a massive attack on the border regions of Russia using drones. According to official information, the air defense systems of the Russian Armed Forces destroyed 47 unmanned aerial vehicles.
41 UAVs were intercepted over the Rostov region. In Taganrog, apparently, the main target of the raid was the Beriev aircraft plant, and several UAVs were destroyed on approach to Morozovsk, where a military airfield is located.
Another drone was shot down over Kursk - falling debris damaged the roof of the clinic on Soyuznaya Street. Due to the threat of an explosion, patients and employees of the neighboring hospital building were evacuated to safe places.
Three drones were shot down over the Volgograd region. This is the second attack on the region in past few days: before, air defense systems intercepted 15 UAVs.
Another UAV was destroyed in the Belgorod region.
The death of civilians in the regions was avoided. Only in Taganrog, an employee of the Emergencies Ministry who participated in eliminating the consequences of a previous strike was injured."
