The future of flying

I wonder how old the Russian was. Also I wonder how diligent the Russian guys were in doing their exercises, and how diligent the current hospitalized astronaut was. They are supposed to do a vigorous workout routine, especially for long stays. I could imagine someone slacking off on the duration or intensity of their exercise sessions. The older you are, I imagine the less you can get away with losing fitness in long term zero G.
He returned from the 437-day Mir mission about one month shy of his 53rd birthday.

That's definitely old enough to lose the easy fitness and recovery of youth. He must have ground out his exercises faithfully.

It could be a coincidence that this Boeing astronaut had to be hospitalized immediately after landing, something not related to returning to Earth's gravity. However, that's the most obvious thing to suspect. They might reveal what's going on after a little while. When I read the article about it, they weren't even identifying which astronaut.

Perhaps an ubiquitous experimental mutagen had something to do with his condition.

FAA: A PSA Airlines Bombardier CRJ700 regional jet collided in midair with a Sikorsky H-60 helicopter while on approach to Runway 33 at Reagan Washington National Airport around 9 p.m. local time. PSA was operating as Flight 5342 for American Airlines. It departed from Wichita, Kansas. The FAA and NTSB will investigate. The NTSB will lead the investigation.

Of course it seems several of these incidents are AA. It’s a pretty bad airline but not as bad as Spirit or Frontier. I had a dangerous experience with an AA flight, and the personnel does not impress me.
I'm going to bet it could be DEI-related personnel at DCA. Too many past incidents at DCA raise a red flag.

Why the f was an army Blackhawk operating in class B airspace WITHOUT their transponder squawking on ADS-B with other commercial traffic?

Edit.

DC airspace is so congested. This is pure speculation, but the heli may have identified the wrong aircraft when asked. Initial reports, including from @flightradar24, show the military heli was operating without ADS-B, which is deeply unfortunate, as that system is designed to prevent mid-air collisions.

Possible. My experience is there is nothing American about AA. Compared to other domestic airlines they are lower quality. I’ve been on flights and airports where EVERY AA employee is ‘diverse’.

The amount of small plane crashes and now big jets crashing makes me wonder if it's better to take a ship.

I never had a fear of flying until I had kids... and then the planes started falling out of the sky.

(I'm getting sick of people and these channels on the tubes or whatever saying that driving is soooo much safer than flying)

Euro media says everyone is dead RIP to you who didn't stand a chance.

I much prefer the back road with my kids in my 3t rig I'll tell you that even if it takes 8 times longer.

Reports are saying there were U.S. (two world champions) and two Russian Figure Skating coaches who were in Wichita, Kansas for the U.S. Figure Skating Championships event. (Russian skaters were training in the U.S.) Sadly, they were onboard the DCA flight.

Shared to me anonymously shows the Playback from official Air Traffic Control radar

#Washington | #DC

Watch as exclusive playback, sent anonymously by @avgeekjake to Rawsalerst, reveals official Air Traffic Control radar footage displaying the Collision Alert. This alert is not for an imminent collision but serves as a tool to draw heightened attention from the controllers to potential risks. The footage then captures the critical moment when both aircraft collided, emphasizing the urgency of the controllers' split-second decisions. The radar data provides a detailed view of the events leading up to the crash, offering valuable insight into the sequence of actions and how the situation ultimately unfolded.
