Also, I really still don't quite understand what it is about Russia that animates some people to simply go out of their way to always post negatively about it, no matter what, with more than a little bit of outright hatefulness in their tone. If something positive is said about Russia, there always seems to be a crew of people ready to jump in at a moment's notice to say "You don't know what you're talking about, you American! You haven't experienced how EVIL they really are!" That's not to say that Russia can't be criticized. But with some of the really outlandish attacks against Russia, it's just, why?
There some people on this forum who become seriously triggered by anything positive about Russia, and it often correlates with “the Jews are all-powerful and control everything, there is no hope” blackpill-peddling which I also find a little suspicious tbh. Of course there are many who make justified and thoughtful criticisms and are a valued voice to balance out the generally pro-Russian sentiment amid right-wing circles.
Of course, Russia isn’t a based utopia. There’s a lot of discouraging WEF globalism being pushed, their response to the vax wasn’t great and digitalisation of everything is advancing a lot, there is some USSR revisionism, and their president is clearly a pragmatist, and not an Orthodox absolutist. But the church of Christ is also there, it’s the land of St Alexander Nevsky, Seraphim of Sarov, Alexander of Svir, Tikhon of Zadonsk and a host of others. Russia basically has no culture without Orthodoxy, and it would take more than 70 years of Judeo-Communism to override this. And now the church grows once more, replete with human hierarchs who sometimes say things which are disappointing to terminally online schizos. (Incidentally, if you know Russian, кавказский скит has many red-pilled sermons on the tiny hat people. A LOT of Russians are JQ-pilled)
There are quite a few Russians who are very negative about their homeland, usually educated women who have lived abroad and bought into western gayness when the quality of life was still drastically superior here. I’ve done language exchanges with them before and they cannot understand why I would consider moving there when salaries are lower and all Russian women are gold diggers, there’s no real democracy etc etc. I think if you’re going anywhere to escape collapse and live the good life, then you’re deluded.
EDIT: on the subject of Russian women, I think the stereotype exists for a reason, however I think it’s often because people going there to date usually aren’t visiting monasteries or consulting with a spiritual father for a good match, so they are much more likely to encounter gold-diggers and expert manipulators. Because Russian women are also associated with beauty, it can foster a sad kind of competitiveness among women where they get lip filler and other augmentations and ruin themselves and cannot handle ageing and so on. But you can absolutely find an abundance of good women in churches, and you should ask the priest how regularly a potential spouse attends and so on. Women who are very serious and even desire to be a priest’s wife, will often visit monasteries to find serious and pious men among pilgrims or labourers. So generally, in any country I think you find what you’re looking for when it comes to women.
