I recall our great meeting with President Trump back in September, when we discussed in detail the Ukraine-U.S. strategic partnership, the Victory Plan, and ways to put an end to Russian aggression against Ukraine.
I appreciate President Trump’s commitment to the “peace through strength” approach in global affairs. This is exactly the principle that can practically bring just peace in Ukraine closer. I am hopeful that we will put it into action together.
We look forward to an era of a strong United States of America under President Trump’s decisive leadership. We rely on continued strong bipartisan support for Ukraine in the United States.

Russia takes a polite but cautious and distant approach to the Trump victory
Official Kremlin comments:
- A phone conversation between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin is possible; the Russian president is open to contact and dialog;
- The Kremlin will draw conclusions about Trump's presidency from his first statements in the context of Russia and concrete steps;
- Russia will judge the US authorities by their deeds; speculations about plans to stop the war in Ukraine are inappropriate as of yet;
- The U.S. can help bring the Ukrainian conflict to an end, but whether it does so will become clear after January

If they got overeager here and jumped the gun, and then Trump backed Ukraine anyway (most of the Republican representatives are, at least publicly, pro-Ukraine and pro-Israel) it would be very embarrassing.
That's not likely to happen now.
With X allowing Free speech, a lot more Americans are engaged in politics, so it's likely the focus is going to shift to getting rid of RINOs soon after Trump cleans out the swamp so to speak. There's a lot of good things awaiting us in the future.
I'd say the real fight has only just begun. This is a big victory, but the Communists aren't going to just roll over and die. That said, I don't think their chances are good.

I think the Russians will demand this. I can't imagine the Trump team thinking they will get a cease fire with less than this. If they do, they are as dumb as the last group under Biden.
I've said this before....the most permanent and secure solution is to carve up (partition) Ukraine like a thanksgiving turkey into different pieces adding each piece to a neighbouring country, with a cultural and linguistic autonomy guaranteed, or leaving a small rump state of Ukraine in the middle. That way everyone wins.

Partition of Ukraine on the other hand is pretty permanent and requires another war to undo.

If there is a left over rump state of Ukraine after the partition it would have to be neutral with almost no military whatsoever.
As for Poland, they have always wanted those territories back as they were part of Poland between the 2 world wars in the 1920s and 1930s.
Hungary, and even Romania, have similar historical territorial claims on western Ukrainian areas.

Putting 10 million Ukrainians in Poland is not going to benefit anyone, and is just going to lead to long-term ethnic tensions. Poland is incredibly russophobic, and Russia will hardly want to make them more powerful as well.
The best solution is for Russia to take the southern and eastern parts of Ukraine, and the rest becomes a heavily demilitarized buffer state. Have its neutrality declared in the Constitution, along with strict limits on military size. Grant Russian equal legal status with the Ukrainian language, and guarantee autonomy and linguistic rights to ethnic minorities such as Hungarians and Romanians in the new Ukraine. Allow economic links with all countries, but no Western buyouts of Ukraine's natural resources and means of production. Eventually the russophobia will die down in Ukraine, and the people will see they are much more prosperous compared to the time when the globohomo regime was meddling in everything.
In exchange, Putin may have to grant some concessions to the US, such as declaring neutrality in the Middle East conflict.

I dunno man...those Ukrainians who become part of Poland would immediately have higher wages and as new EU citizens immediate access to live and work anywhere in the EU, as well as the "reassurance" of living in a "safe" NATO country. Provided they can keep their culture and language in their areas, not sure why they would be hostile to becoming part of Poland.
I think you both have valid points. Though, personally, I doubt the Ukrainians and Poles would habe issues that, say, Kosovo Albanians and Serbs would have, were they to officially reunite.
My concern as a Pole in their situation would be having 10 million new people while my own population is only roughly 35 million.
Though Ukrainians would surely accept the great living conditions, there would still be separatist ideology and, on the other hand, more people from the actual Ukrainian state and newly formed Russian part would want to join Poland too.
That said, I have no idea how badly Poland wants that land back and to what extent they'd be willing to accept some of the potential negative consequences of a polish expansion.
