I know our brown friends are very hopeful about the coming meritocracy but I’m starting to have my doubts about this “4 out of 5 doctors recommend assisted suicide” approach white people are treated with by our superiors.
So, Elon has backpedaled since starting his "war," has admitted to the fraud and corruption of H1-B instead of shrieking like a hysterical child.
Stephen Miller, "our Jew," is still in charge and is going to gut the H1-B system as much as he can, just like he did in Trump's first term.
I'm glad all of this happened now, it will be forgotten in two weeks. It was good to rein in Elon now rather than after Jan 20th.

That's a good way to look at it, someone in the political realm for once actually giving a shit what the people think is good....
Miller has been on point. The immigration issue has been his main emphasis the entire time he's been in Trump's circle.
We need him to stick around. He doesn't seem to be compromised on anything and has been one of the few loyalists from the begining.
Peter Navarro is another one. He literally went to federal prison over the J6 thing along with Bannon.
People with skin in the game who have courage of conviction is what we DEMAND. Regardless of the president these are the people we need to continue the fight so we can have any chance if fixing much of this bloated mess of a country we live in now.
Overall I'm very pleased with the way this all shook out.
Pay attention to people's reactions and note who is the traitor among the group.
I don't expect Trump to say much to burn Elon or Vivek.
There is zero reason to. They did it in their own and the MAGA surrogates via Bannon crew and many other American Populists took care of the messaging.
They'll hammer on it some more if needed. But I suspect this is sufficient for now.
Trump has to continue to keep Elon in check, but say the things that will keep him on the right side of the political isle and not going back to the left. He gets nothing by alienating Elon completely.
Vivek on the other hand just crushed himself and made DeDantis look much better than he had in a while. I love people talking about his stock borderline fraudulent pump and dump.

Bet Davids interview with the leader of the patriot front really turned me off him. He basically has the stance that all immigrants do, that America exists for people from all over the world to come and live and hopefully thrive. He was extremely condescending and outright insulted Americans by saying that when he showed up here at 9 or 11 or something he found the American kids to be stupid and way behind him and thats why America needs immigrants.
Agreed. Also add some language they can't fire US citizens just to replace them with H1Bs. Corporations would likely still do it, but it would take extra effort to be sneaky, and there'd be lawyers out looking for opportunities to sue for punitive damages. They certainly couldn't just have the US employee train his H1B replacement before firing him.
He kind of had no choice. The backlash was too strong, and their points were too obviously legit. Furthermore, it was all on his own platform (Twitter) so when he was initially tempted to silence this opposition, he was destroying his own platform in general.
We'll have to Wait and See, but it would be encouragong if the based right can now provide real time feedback like this.

So, it's not that simple. Immigration isn't going away. It has always been here. In the competitive world we are in, we lose if we don't get the best. Like draft picks. Otherwise it's like saying that only Chicagoans can play for the Bears. It's the low end immigration that needs to be gutted and it should. Immigration, though, is only part of the problem and shouldn't be used as a scapegoat to justify all the existing problems in America.

Regarding getting rid of H1B and starting over, what people don't understand is that a new bill will go to Congress and likely face lots of "adjustments," and then we end up with another system that can be abused. It will be painful and will likely splinter the right even more.
Administratively speaking, it's easier to gut and fix an existing system and make it better for everyone, especially when we have Trump in the WH and can't fully trust the legislature. It makes logical sense.
FYI, I get National Pride. I'm an immigrant that benefitted from the system but not a day goes by I'm not grateful for the USA. It's one of the main reasons I served in the military, and I even leave my business and family behind to serve in local initiatives on my own dime. That being said, I'm also not going to pretend that American culture hasn't deteriorated (Weak men, weak family units, welfare state). It's actually one of the reasons I even have to step up in my community.
No one will understand quite how it feels to do as much and get attacked because of my identity which I have no control over. Actually, I guess Elon and Vivek do; more Elon.

There is still fraud. Extraordinary ability isn’t well defined, so again the system is gamed. Depending on how the immigration attorney words the application many things can qualify.
People keep mentioning the O-1 visa because of posts on X, but nobody is saying that this visa is also gamed.
I have two examples. One was a Chinese guy I knew who got this visa, and the job could have been filled with a domestic applicant. He was not a Nobel Prize winner, not even close. The 2nd was a Brazilian guy who won several BJJ tournaments and got this visa. Granted, he was very good at jiujitsu, but I don’t think bringing over BJJ athletes is what the average American has in mind when they hear we are getting the best and the brightest.
Yes of course they can all be games. Are you sure they were O1 or just H1B?
For the O1 visas to get scrutiny the H1bs need to go away.
What should happen is get rid of H1B and then scrutinize the O1.

This is the Halloween costume I have mentioned. I didn't realize it had an upside down cross on the back of it.
After seeing a few of those Youtube travelers in India I understand why Indians are the way they are. I would be the same as them if I grew up in extreme poverty where there is no escape and everyone is always trying to screw each other over, you would do whatever you could to get out and if you happened to land in a wealthy country where the people are lambs, you will prosper. It is interesting how nice so many of them are, I wonder if it's a product of the high population density, if anyone is out of line a bunch of people could swiftly lynch them.
I remember an Indian-American guy, Ramit Sethi, who had a blog Iwillteachyoutoberich (100% authentic Indian title) and I read his book and the guy was always so proud of anything he did that was vaguely Indian, like doing whatever it took to screw companies over to save a buck. He also took a lot of pride in being Indian, calling himself your surrogate disappointed Indian father. They definitely think of themselves as superior because of their cutthroat business sense.
I once sold cars in Canada and every now and then an Indian would come in. In their broken English they would try to negotiate by offering half the price of the car. They would be annoyingly insistent and waste your time. I saw another salesman doing a test drive with one of them and they were in the parking lot for half an hour with the Indian guy turning this way and that, test every movement of the car, turning the wheels all the way, getting out, getting on the ground to look under and over every single part of the vehicle. I asked an old salesman who worked there why they did that and he said "because in their culture they're always trying to screw each other over." The Indians didn't even understand the gentle, honest Canadian salesmen weren't trying to screw them over by selling them a trash vehicle, they assume Canadians are like them, or something. Even my sales manager got out of the industry as soon as he could because he didn't want to have to try to sell to brown people the rest of his career.

I had a roommate decades ago who sold cars. He said the very same thing when dealing with Indians as well. He got so mad that one time he refused to sell them the car, at full price, because of all the haggling and time they wasted. He decided he simply didn't want them to have the car, even if they paid full price for it, lol.
Indians are the absolute worst to deal with in a retail scenario. Mainlander Chinese are nearly as bad, but they are not rude. Middle Easterns/Arabs/Persians and other Orientals will mess around and haggle with you, but they will at some point come to terms and are entertaining at least.
The last Indian I dealt with on an automobile simply offered 50% of whatever advertised price was. CAAAASSSSHHHH. At some point, I just cordially but firmly told him to leave the lot.
Honestly, these type of people influence what I stock for inventory. I rarely every get mainline Toyota/Hondas, especially people movers (Siennas, Highlanders, Pilots) because I refuse to deal with these people.
