Very true, I remember reading about Spain's rise and colonial era and how them acquiring all of that gold from South America ultimately hurt their development because it secured wealth for an extended period of time with no effort at all. Thus, education and work ethic lost their value.

I think this kind of fighting was inevitable at some point. The pandemic was probably the only point in recent history where there was a general consensus among conservatives.
Now it's back to finding some kind of middle ground and having generally more civilized discussion than could be had with wokists.
That said, I agree with the poster or tweet that said Musk has zero social awareness. He's not a man of the people like Trump who, despite being super rich, doesn't seem detached from reality.

I’ve been telling this to people in person since Vivek began running for president. His company, Roivant, had a strange strategy of acquiring and licensing failed drugs. Vivek made his millions, cashed out, and the bag holders got taken to the cleaners.

I love it. Almost all wealthy and upper middle class white liberals I've known in my personal life, were the types that would announce their fashionable stances on things, yet act as if they believed the opposite in private. Most of them moved away to smaller 85-90% white conservative towns, and the ones who didn't, remain in their hipster enclave type neighborhoods also filled with mostly white people, and even so, didn't feel comfortable walking on the sidewalks at night in their own neighborhoods.
Despite what they may say publicly, I think there's still some basic instinct found in most of them, that they may feel conflicted about, but when push comes to shove, ends up governing a lot of their choices in life.

America is a bit of a different example given the huge amounts of Blacks in the south, the Mestizos along the desert borders, and the Chinese dumping their refuse on the pacific.
