In Tsarist Russia, who was considered a citizen and who was not? Anything post 1922 (and post 1917 in most cases) is not Russian but Soviet and civic conceptions of nationalism at best. You were not considered Russian or Soviet by your blood but only by your service to the state. Ideally it should be both, with blood (and faith) coming first to establish who can and cannot be a citizen, and then their utility to the nation and its posterity.

All these Asiatics were not central to pre-Soviet Russia. They had their own ethnic conclaves and their own regions (like the Chechens) but they were not Russian by any means. You do understand what I am saying, historically right? To be Russian you have to be of Nordic Rus blood or a descendent of pure Slavic citizens of the Russian Empire. The actual Ethnic Russians were the dominant ethnic group in Russia proper, always. Any local elite in the regions not of ethnic Russian majority, like the Chechens, for example this Kadyrov guy would be treated as a subject not pandered to in a Christian Orthodox kingdom. The muslims are foaming at the mouth to takeover Russia today, and with the help of Chabad they most certainly will unless Christian Orthodox Nationalists intervene.

All of the Turkic groups were nomadic, and their regions were settled through conquest. Even the Tatars who held central trade were "discriminated" against because they were not ethnically Russian. None of these peoples participated in the government of the Tsars. Not one, especially the jews. They had no power and were kept in their Shtetls. Everything this fake multi-cultural multi-racial new "Russia" does demographically is a vain affront to Russian history and tradition.

What I did say is that Ukraine would be weaponized against Russia and used to pin it down and bleed it dry - with the US tightening the chains on Europe as a direct two birds with one stone type of result of that. I predicted that Ukraine would get a near carte blanche from the US, and would up till the fullest exploit its military potential - meaning a conscription pool of 6 million people and Lend Lease 2.0.

NATO's plan is failing, badly, your assessment of the situation is very poor. It is their plan which has proven to be delusional, while Russia's response has been shrewd. 2 years into this conflict and NATO still can't produce shells in sufficient numbers, while the Russian MIC has been scaling up massively its production of shells, tanks, and drones/missiles of all type.

NATOs objective of regime change and the dismantling of Russia is a pipe dream, Putin's position has been reinforced with this war, both domestically and abroad, outside the West. Russia's economy is thriving, they are reaping dividends from foreign firms being replaced by domestic products, and from Russian capital being repatriated as the oligarchs can no longer invest abroad.

Russia has been waging this war on second gear, while preserving its economy and limiting its military losses, which have been around 90k KIAs vs about 7x as much for Ukraine. With a couple of exceptions (early assaults on Vulhedar), Russia hasn't been doing "human wave attacks", this is a NAFO-level talking point, it is the Ukrainians who have been doing that all along, especially in their offensive on the Surovikin line.

Ukraine is losing the war of attrition, their positions across the front are shaky. They don't have a pool of 6 million men, their population today is down to around 18 million and skews heavily towards older people as a majority of their young men have bailed.

Russia will be in a position to demilitarize Ukraine, either via negotiation next year, or on the frontlines.

18 million sounds absurd. There were 44 million people living in Ukraine before the war started and you are trying to tell me its gone from 44 million to 18 million. That is laughable.

This seems accurate to me. It is normal for people to flee a warzone. Some will be ethnic Russians who fled to Russia. Many others have fled to the EU and US.

More than a few have died.

Before the war started the population of Ukraine was already around 31 million, not 44 million, official numbers were inflated as they included Ukrainians who had recently moved abroad as well as Ukrainians living in Russian occupied territories.

I have looked into it last year while debating with a pro-Ukrainian panel and found many credible sources putting the actual number of people within Ukraine held territories to be around 20 million. A lot of those publications have been purged from internet searches.

One year ago, former prime minister Mykola Azarov put the population of Ukraine at 23 million.

There were over 14 million people going outside from Ukraine in the first year of the war alone, this map and stats already are 2 years old, granted some of them returned but the majority left the country.
