Isn’t the Senate led by the Dems? The summary of HR7109 per Congress.gov is as follows:
This bill requires any questionnaire used in the decennial census to include a checkbox or other similar option for respondents to indicate whether the respondent and each household member is a U.S. citizen.
The Department of Commerce must make public the number of citizens and noncitizens in each state.
The bill also requires that the statement sent by the President to Congress indicating the number of persons in each state (related to the reapportionment of U.S. Representatives) excludes noncitizens.
Reckon the GOPe is starting to realize they'll lose their spot at the trough if they don't clamp down on the invasion.

That's because Trump wasn't on the ticket.I am listening to a great podcast and they are breaking down the low voter turnout in the primaries. One example is where a MAGA candidate lost to a GOP RINO in WV, when the spending was very close in numbers, with extremely lower voter turnout. And we are seeing this across the country, low voter turnout, establishment GOP candidates beating "MAGA outsiders" in the primaries, etc. In WV they said the turnout was only 29% of registered voters.
The theory that post-populism is being floated on the podcast. That nothing is going to bring people out, they have lost faith in the system and don't even care to go vote for anyone. What comes next is anyone's guess. It will be very interesting to see the voter turnout for the 2024 election and if they even break 40%. It is a great discussion to listen to and theorize on why voting turnout is so low and why even "outsiders" are no longer driving attention.
Yea, they mentioned that. How it wasn't the talking points that is driving people to vote for Trump, but the cult of personality. Exactly why that is, it is unknown, they just had a theory about it being post populism, meaning they no longer trust populist candidates to follow through and have an apathy towards voting. That's because Trump wasn't on the ticket.
Trump gets massive down ballot turnout.
