Weird Things You've Noticed Recently

I've decided to go into the cinema tonight and it made me want to kill myself. Not only is Dune 2 a boring a pretentious pile of garbage with zero content, what's more is that they keep trying to sell Zendaya as a Hollywood starlet, which is Kalergi levels of surreal. Her forehead is literally smaller than her nose is broad. She looks like the missing link, and I'm not even strict when it comes to beauty standards. There was one really short scene where she really tried to act and it made me laugh out loud.
If she was a good actress, I'd look beyond it I guess, but this was just really offensive to me. Oh and in the trailers they teasered a prequel to Charlize Theron's dumb tomboy character from the Mad Max reboot, as if it was in any way iconic.

Imagine me with the West has Fallen meme face right now, because that's how I feel.

I hate pop culture so much, I could never eat as much as I want to throw up right now.

Yes I enjoyed Dune Part 2 otherwise but I have to deduct one point for her poor acting, one point for her eyebrows, and one point for them changing key elements of the book ending just to play her up.

I've been seeing people using this new term, "media literacy". I thought it sounded retarded but didn't know what it meant. I looked up a definition and all I found was a bunch of extremely gay buzzword spam that didn't actually say a bloody thing. As far as I can tell, it means something along the lines of "understanding the goyslop you consume". That's my best guess at the moment.

Google says it's about "critically analyzing stories yadda yadda", but then everyone I've seen using this term is a total unthinking retard who is clearly not doing any critical anything ever, and if they ever tried to do so, they'd probably make mechanical whirring noises like some 20-year-old SATA drive.

I'm tired of these fake words. A new one drops every month or so. I can't stand it.

I find it a bit confusing when my peers discuss the attractiveness of female celebrities, because to me, something about each and every single one of them makes them seem very plain if not ugly to me.

They all have these fake faces painted on with makeup, using similar techniques to those of someone who paints WH40k figurines, none of them have anywhere near the level of feminine energy that a healthy woman should have, most of them have a physiognomy that screams bad news, and they all worship the devil.

I don't think I've ever seen a female celebrity and found her attractive, except maybe when I was 10-12, but back then I also thought bugs were cute and I wanted to be an entomologist when I grew up, so I'll just file all of that under weird kid shenanigans. I hate bugs now and I hereby declare that whole arc non-canon.

"Gay Buzzword Spam" - love it! It perfectly sums up most of the messages that the hierachy send on the internal e-mail at my place of work. I'll just have to make sure that I don't refer to it as such, as we're PC central here.

Spot on.

I get deep cringe feelings to the newest fake words.

"Gay Buzzword Spam" - love it! It perfectly sums up most of the messages that the hierachy send on the internal e-mail at my place of work.

😂

I see many gay buzzwords coming down the hierachy.

"signalling"

"concerned"

"letting go of people"

"as a team"

"pivoting"

"consolidating"

These words are like a red flag to me, I feel like a bull running after it. It really gets me angry. I'm probably traumatized, as the anger I feel is not in relation to the individual buzztalkwords.

I deeply hate this deceptional talk.

Concerned means -> If you don't do what I want I'll ruin you.

Letting go -> You're fired and our well paid lawyers made sure in no way you can getting anything more out of it.

"as a team" -> You need to extra work and I'll use social pressure to make you do it for free"

"pivoting" -> Slave, from now on you do something else.

"human resources" -> This group of inhuman godless freaks that moralize the slave caste.

All this gay buzzword spam, is an euphemism for sick behavior. This hidden aggression.

I value frank and direct talk, and I see so much of this everywhere. The thing is we need to translate but when we translate it and reflect it back to the hierarchy will always deny it.

It's fun to do. "Do you mean to say this: ...... ?"

Yes I enjoyed Dune Part 2 otherwise
Did you read the books? I read into the books a little bit and I thought that was the only thing glueing it together for me. Very exhausting to follow otherwise. I liked the imagery, but pictures got repetitive and then constantly the Hans Zimmer MÖÖÖÖÖÖÖP as a cheap way to make any scene more exciting.

Christopher Walken also felt kinda forced into it. He's one of those old Hollywood guys who refuses to play anyone but himself and I'm not sure Christopher Walken is how you'd imagine a God Emperor.

They oversold this Harkonnen gladiator kid only for him to predictably lose in the plainest way imaginable.

I don't know, this was maybe a 6/10 for me

@Unending Powerhouse Match Yeah I'm not a guy to fawn over celebrities either, but if I think back to women like Sharon Stone, young Catherine Zeta Jones or even Emma Watson, and I'm like, yeah I can see that. This Ana Taylor-Whatsit is pushing it, but at least she can act, so whatever.

Zendaya is neither pretty, nor talented, nor is she endearing in anyway. She always plays an uppity sarcastic mulatto brat.

No one would reject Catherine Zeta Jones or Sharon Stone. It's just that there are no real beauties like those around anymore.

I literally had the "supermodel vs. random cashier" thing happen to me last week. Girl at the grocery store checkout was young, pleasant, clear skin, nice hair, lively eyes; everything these mutts that are being foisted on us are not.

I was in a coffee shop today and noticed the exact same thing. You're the odd one out now if you aren't on a phone.

It's like being in a distopian movie.
What bothers me more is people on the footpath with smartphones slowing down and not looking where they're going.

I just saw the title and image and did not need to even watch the trailer. Saw something better in the cinema, a European comedy.

By the way, there's a new holocaust related film out in the cinemas at the moment. how rare!
Must be so entertaining and refreshing!
You wouldn't want to miss such novelty and excitement..

The most attractive women usually have basic jobs like a barista, cashier, something with kids. Celebrities and most career women are awful. The single women my age (33) are really annoying, so that has a lot to do with it too.
With my last company it was the secretaries and receptionists who were very attractive and had a more pleasant demeanor. We had some younger women in IT or financial positions that were nice though average looking. But those career-climbing managerial women were just so unpleasant to be around.

On the other hand, I can't blame them entirely. The more beautiful women have a chance of finding a man who can provide for them and they don't have to work too hard. With the state of our economy, it's less than 10% of men who make enough that their wives don't have to work and they can still live comfortably according to modern standards. Plus many of those men will be fat or awkward or just generally undesirable. So finding a good one is not an option except for the most desirable women. The less attractive women get pushed into these careers where they struggle to keep up with the Jones.

Is it me, or has the continuous burning down of food plants and distribution centers here in the states calmed down? For a while there it seemed like we were getting a lot. Did the oligarchs realize they might be hurting themselves doing that?

It did, but now we have the TX fire going on. Beef will be impacted. The pictures of destroyed houses and cars with surrounding areas that are seemingly untouched looks eerily similar to the Maui fires.

I hadn't heard of this until I saw this post. That's a huge fire! Over 1 million acres in Texas burned. 90% of Roberts County burned! For all that area it is only 400 to 500 structures burned, but that's still a large number. It's fortunate the number isn't much higher.

Yeah the extra money from a wife with a career would be nice, but there's more important things than money. Most of the career women I meet don't seem to be as happy. Stressed, too busy, not as focused on family life, other people taking care of their kids. They've been brainwashed to think it's possisle to be a mom and have a career, or even worse, they care more about the career than their own family.

I think the sweet spot is being with a women that's willing to work the simpler jobs (secretary, receptionist, barista, cashier), but has no desire to have a career. As a man I can take care of the career.

No the best woman is the one that stays home and takes care of the children until they're adults while you have your career. After that, sure, I met many older secretaries who were still stunning.

A man that "likes" the extra income from his wife being perved on as a receptionist or whatever needs to step up himself. Just my 2 cents.

Yeah the returns in income are certainly diminishing, particularly when it goes at the cost of a mom as a house keeper. Both my parents worked and for most of my childhood I'd come home and stay alone until the evening and the housekeeper (who some of the extra money was spent on) would throw something in the microwave for me.

It's a garbage trade-off. It's also a garbage trade-off when the father overemphasizes career in the stead of working on himself and trying to be a good father with a relationship with his children. You cannot really compensate for that with money.

I can see that it's more difficult if you HAVE to work in a city, because cost of living is so high, but that is never ideal and those families always pay a hefty price.

I don't understand why a lot of women cut their hair short after being married and having kids. They'll say that long hair is hard to maintain, but that's a lie.

Maybe some will say it's because they don't want men to be coming up to them all the time now that they're married, but they can always tie it back or something, so that's not the reason.

Maybe they feel like they don't have to try so hard any more to look good as they have what they want, but then again why would you undo one of the things that made you look appealing in the first place.

And it's not laziness as many married women spend enough time on their appearance even with short hair.
