The first DLC was incredible, me and my wife thoroughly enjoyed it as it was about the 'mirror' and the adversary was the representation of the devil. I think you might've misunderstood the game a little as most of the gems in the game overall were in the side quests.
 
I've been playing Age of Mythology Retold for two weeks now. It's the remake of the original from 2003, which I loved as a kid. I've played all the remakes of the Age of Empires series so far, and I have to say that this one is my favorite. The whole game looks completely new. The units are very detailed, and many have been completely redesigned. Everything looks beautiful. God powers, which in the original could only be used once per game, can now be used multiple times as long as you have enough "favor of the gods." This small change makes the game much more interesting. The campaign is fantastic and very long. For me, it's a top game if you just want to relax in the evening. (Bonus: No woke nonsense). Hit me up if you want to play Online!

For sure. It just shouldn't overwhelm the thread. Would take too long to go through but my guess is about 50 percent of posts here have just been condemning wokeness. Honestly there's no reason to even have that many posts about that at all as we all know the issue with woke media, this isn't Facebook after all. Anyone here already gets it.
But more to the point, there is another thread literally designed for that sort of criticism. I'd say it's fine here too, but we should bear in mind that some of us just want to chat about a game we like or are looking forward to and it makes for better conversation to focus on things like gameplay, plot, etc, than just is it woke or not.

Woke games are THE hot gaming topic of 2024. Every game channel I follow is full of the current dramas. The culture war is coming to a head, and AAA devs are finding that no one is buying their games. Major studios are in big trouble. Not talking about it is stupid. If you want to redress the balance, post more about other things.

The other thread you mention is for criticism of the hobby, not criticism of woke games. Don't conflate the two.

This thread is for gamers who game as a hobby. The other thread is critisims of playing video games period, atleast that is my understanding of the difference in the threads. I game quite frequently and I call out and point out the woke slop that has overtaken something I used to love. Although the chickens seemingly are coming home to roost and this woke slop super flop era is begining.
