The War Against Christianity

Yep. She is the woman making the claim that Jesus' father was actually a Roman soldier named Pantera in that NYT article.
Sounds like someone's been reading the Talmud. But why would she do that? Even Jews don't read it. It's mostly just thousands upon thousands of pages of the most Jewish bickering over petty nonsense and it's up there with Aquinas's Summa in length.

From what I can gather Pagels was a reprobate whose voice was amplified within the university system and by major publishers. No doubt the Tribe found her works and decided to promote her.

The only thing I vaguely remember is that books were incredibly boring and trivial. And very little content regarding Marcion controversy, even though in a book about a) Gospel and b) Gnosticism one would naively assume it should be the focal point.

Just made the huge mistake of watching the much-celebrated “Conclave” & it is the most disgusting anti-Catholic film I have seen in a long time. Shame on Ralph Fiennes, Stanley Tucci & John Lithgow for starring in it & shame on director Edward Berger (among others). “Spoiler:” They make THE POPE INTERSEX! This is the big exciting twist at the end. I wish I had known so I wouldn’t have watched it. There are almost no redeeming characters in the movie - every cardinal is morally bankrupt/repulsive. The only exception of course is the intersex pope (who - surprise! - has female reproductive parts) & the cardinal who keeps her secret - bc of course that kind of Catholic secret-keeping must be lionized. I’m disgusted. What a thing to release to streaming just in time for Christmas. They would never do this to Muslims, but Christians/Catholics are always fair game to mock/belittle/smear.

That Church is run by (((Jesuits))).

I feel genuinely sorry for the Catholics, usually the Jesuits get their way.

The church's website has a LGBT page.
LGBT Catholics and Friends

We are a group of LGBT parishioners and family and friends (and parents) of LGBT persons. We are a parish ministry of, by, and for our lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender sisters and brothers in Christ and those who love and support them. Our ministry extends to, and embraces, the mission of the entire parish, our home.

During the first two months of lockdown, LGBT Catholics and Friends continued to meet, initially over Zoom, then once the lockdown eased, at picnics in Central Park. These enabled our members to support each other.

Each year our ministry hosts events that aim to foster mutual respect, compassion, and sensitivity between our parish and the wider community on LGBT issues through education and dialogue. We jointly host events with other ministries at St. Ignatius Loyola that aim to bring together the parish community including retreats and the Amazing Race.

What We Are About
Our ministry is inspired by the words of St. Ignatius: “God loves us, creates us, and wants to share life with us forever.”

We are creating a home at St. Ignatius Loyola where all LGBT persons and those who love and support them are welcome, and where LGBT persons are fully affirmed and celebrated.

More specifically, we follow the Ignatian Way with its three essential components:

Prayer: We provide opportunities for spiritual enrichment—prayer groups, retreats, spiritual direction— with a focus on the needs and challenges of LGBT persons and their families and friends.

Community: We build community with regular meetings and special events—lectures, cultural and social gatherings; we provide a safe and open space for fellowship, sharing, and support for LGBT persons and their friends and families.

Service: Striving to be “men and women for others,” we provide volunteer opportunities, alone or in collaboration with other groups, focused on supporting LBGT persons and their needs and concerns.

Finally, we seek to be agents of change, combating personal and structural homophobia, and standing with LBGT persons, their families, friends, and supporters.

My friends in Russia they remove all cross from paintings and images. Russia government say we are multi confessional country now so cannot have cross.

I don't understand this yes we are multi confessional country but why not cross? Russia orthodox Church is one of confessions so why this is problem?

This on tv, government building, banks everywhere
