The Trump-Vance Administration

Yes, this does make sense, that an element of saying "we can work together or we can escalate"

Thats the carrot and the stick approach.
I get the strategy, but how would the 'stick' intimidate Russia?

Wouldn't they want to see the US piss more money away because they have a comparative advantage is efficiency?

Are they really scared of our extremely overpriced weapon systems? Our DEI standards? Our Tranny platoons?

We're going to shoot off our leg to try intimidate them to cut a finger?

What exactly is the stick here?

This is just more (((MIC))) appeasement.

There are several things happening here that aren't exactly contradictory, but telling. One, men are disparaging the US as a soon-to-be failed state not worth saving and praising Russia as some kind of on the rise refuge state from anti-Christian globohomo that will soon overtake the US in terms of power and influence on the world stage. This is laughable. Have we not learned anything from history? The US is, and always has been the ass-kicker of all things Russian. Russia is basically third world compared to the US which is why there are less than 5K American expats living in Russia and over 3 million Russian expats living in the US. The numbers don't lie. Russia is a shithole compared to the US.

Now, to add to this collective group think lunacy is the praising of all things Trump "Before he's even in office! Reee!" who is in the process of making a string of horrible decisions (again) because, like Putin, he is an out of touch rich man who has no intention of saying the words "jew" or "Jesus Christ is my Saviour.

We already know what happens. Nothing. It's all a Lucy pulls the football away at the last second illusion as "we" (the working poor) march off to the endless war meat grinder in service of the jew.

*In before the truth is labeled as something black in the form of a pill.

I agree in that the praising of Russia is odd, besides the country having a very low quality of life for the commoner Russians wouldn't piss on Americans if they were on fire and Russians are some really nasty people from my experience both professionally and personally. Russians treat Americans like they are beneath them right here in the USA, I can only imagine how it is in Russia especially considering they treat their own people like crap. Plus the country is run by Jews just as much as the USA if not more. I don't think Russia should be our enemy but the way it is romanticized around here just doesn't line up with reality.

As far as Trump goes I think he learned a lot from his first go around and while I am disappointed in many of his decisions, some of them have been good. Nothing will ever be perfect and he is better than the other side I think we can all agree on that. Let's see what happens....

Well the war costs them money too, it's like a reverse of Vietnam or Korea.

This morning, a police officer arrived at our home—where our seven children were still sleeping. The officer notified my wife and I that they had received a credible pipe bomb threat targeting me and my family. We are all safe and the threat has been cleared. We want to thank law enforcement for their professionalism and bravery.

I will not be bullied or intimidated. Never. President Trump has called on me to serve—and that is what I intend to do.

Edit.

President Trump considering shaking up the White House press briefing room is an excellent idea. We can start with names like Joe Rogan, Tucker Carlson, Mollie Hemingway, and Catherine Herridge — all of whom deserve seats in the briefing room as well as setups on pebble beach outside the White House.

Independent media deserves a voice!

Office of Chairwoman Stefanik released the following statement:

“This morning, Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, her husband, and their three year old son were driving home to Saratoga County from Washington for Thanksgiving when they were informed of a bomb threat to their residence. New York State, County law enforcement, and U.S. Capitol Police responded immediately with the highest levels of professionalism. We are incredibly appreciative of the extraordinary dedication of law enforcement officers who keep our communities safe 24/7. We want to share our best wishes to the Upstate NY community for a happy and safe Thanksgiving. We are especially grateful to our law enforcement officers and military families who are on duty over the holiday season.”

Massive move by Trump. The geopolitically hostile (aspirant) BRICS members won't be startled by this, but the majority BRICS fencesitters that rely on US military protection/ the USD yet are looking to diversify their positions where they see fit will be impacted in a big way .

Trump is going for four more years of Pax Americana.

Don't know if he would have taken the job, but Larry Elder would have made a terrific White House Press Secretary. Nobody in the media can 'out talk' him.
Maybe down the road in a year.

I already mentioned this in the BRICS thread...Trump can't solve all of the US' financial problems with tariffs.

This hardline approach will backfire, as some BRICS countries may just decide they no longer need to sell their goods to the USA or may simply reduce their business with the US. Russia for instance is already so sanctioned, it can't sell anything to them anyway.

Also, without reducing the 35 trillion dollar US debt and backing the dollar with something more secure like gold, other countries are not going to take anymore chances being too exposed to the volatile US currency.

If the US had tried this 10 years ago, it might have worked, but now the de-dollarisation ship has long since starting sailing.

I think your previous assessment that Trump is using a big a big cudgel to negotiate for American supremacy is correct. He's playing to win.
