Some Jews are more messianic than others...

Those who were saying do not join Western military in the woke military thread - proven right.
Checked his biography - he served in the Spokesperson's Unit. No need to call him back; with all the pro-Israeli kvetching comming from (((conservative))) pundits, he wouldn't even have a job to do.
But isn't it "strange", daddy Netanyahu was a special forces operator, and his son went to serve in a Twitter Division:unsure:

Has China or Japan said anything about this insanity?
Both China and Russia have been heavily involved in diplomatic efforts to bring about a peaceful resolution. Japan will be toeing the US line. Russia has been careful to not place any blame on either side, and China has been slightly more critical of Israel. Both China and Russia have vetoed the draft US resolution at the UN Security Council, as it does not include a call for a ceasefire.

The US and UK have vetoed Russia's new draft resolution that does call for a ceasefire.

China is pushing hard for a ceasefire and is heavily critical of the actions of the US at the UN.

Any word on Saudi Arabia and other Gulf states' responses.

I have presumed they have all been Epsteined, since they have all become open to Israel.

I haven't heard anything yet from the Gulf States. The Yemenis did threaten to send a ton of fighters, if Israel invades, but I don't know how they'd get there. Also Erdogan made a pretty hefty threat as well, and didn't mince words.

Meanwhile, the son of the Hamas founder had some interesting things to say as well:

The Arab nations are completely united in their hostility to Israel. The Saudi-Israeli relationship has cooled, and instead the Saudis now entertain diplomats from their old rival, Iran.

The DOD just confirmed it received fire from and has returned fire against the IRGC.

Is the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps a proper Iranian government/military entity - or is it a proxy/cutout? If it is so, we have just attacked the Iranian military, who is in Syria at the invitation of the Syrian government. Granted, if the IRGC in fact fired upon the US military, we will shoot back. Did Iran commit an act of war against the US?

Clearly, the DOD knows they are in fuzzy area of logic, as the press release shows they are trying to isolate this engagement from anything to do with the Israel/Hamas conflict.

Edit - They are walking it back a bit now, claiming IRGC proxies:

US/West is walking a tightrope. What has Iran (or any other pro-Palestine State) done via Palestine/Syria/Lebanon, that the US has not done via Ukraine? If such "proxy forces" justify attack against the sponsor, then the remaining part of the mask drops on US/NATO involvement in Ukraine. The comparisons are not identical, but the US/NATO are a thin line away from justifying Russia to attack the US/NATO - if the proxy argument is overused. The "Global South" and affiliated countries are watching for the US to make this mistake.

The IRGC is to the Islamic Republic of Iran, what the SS/Waffen-SS were to National Socialist Germany. It's a full on political and military force, with its armed military units having more advanced weaponry than the actual Armed Forces of Iran.

To make matters even more interesting, the Chief of the General Staff of the regular armed forces is a commander of the IRGC.

So what the DoD is trying to articulate is perhaps foreign operations of IRGC and not the entity, itself.
