They’ve been talking for an hour and still no talk on the economy? That’s… odd

They are talking about abortions, Israel , January 6…. No real shock but I mean no new ground covered here

I will say both of the hosts for abc seem okay. They are calling Trump “President trump” and not mister Trump , and are at least giving both of them time to respond .

But it’s clear they want to avoid talking about Biden and Harris’ presidency and just put the focus on attacking Trump at least so far . I mean Trump is just giving his usual spiel, he’s not rattled but so far he’s just getting attacked all night

Edit, we are coming up to the end if a 2 hour presidential debate. Zero questions about jobs, the economy, inflation, taxes,

Basically all of the major problems in the country right now, we didn’t any any questions about it, I don’t think?(someone can correct me if I’m wrong. )

XVIII Airborne Corps is located on Fort Bragg (I refuse to call it by that other woke name), a mere 268 miles from Asheville and the worst flooding areas of this Biblical-level tragedy.

The Corps’ capabilities include:

-Extensive medium and heavy lift rotary wing aircraft.
-A theater sustainment command with incredible capabilities for delivery of food, potable water, fuel and construction materials.
-A medical brigade with Level III surgical capabilities.
-An engineer brigade with robust heavy construction assets.
-A military police brigade that can provide traffic control and assist local LE.
-An Airborne Infantry division that has routinely supported disaster relief in years past.
-A world-class command, control and communications HQ capability to make it all work.

NONE OF THAT has been ordered to assist civil authorities? NONE OF IT??????

Fort Bragg has routinely supported domestic disaster relief for DECADES—Katrina, Homestead, you name it. Hell, I myself have a Humanitarian Service Medal for support to Hurricane Fran relief out of Bragg.

Now we can’t do anything for an epic disaster in the SAME FREAKING STATE?

WTF, over?

This goes beyond mere negligence. It must be malicious. Perhaps Kamala and Joe don’t want NC’s rural GOP counties to be able to vote on November 5th?

This is an abomination, and one of the worst derelictions of Presidential duties in US history.

I have been to Ft. Bragg, and even got the tab, despite being a Brit, and educated (although the two are synonymous to my transatlantic cousins)!

There may be a reason for this, and that is leftists are scared of the military.

Years ago BBC? had a TV show where people acted as.members of COBRA (Cabinet Office Briefing Room A), the people who managed crisis situations in the UK and abroad.

I distinctively remember one episode where the scenario was a deadly and very contagious disease. A cordon was thrown up around the hospital it was in.

The panel were told there was a medical regiment of the army nearby but they would take X amount of hours to begin to operate. All but one of the panel said they shouldn't activate them as it would "scare the public" and "they didn't need them yet".

Fast forward to when the pathogen escapes the hospital and when the asked for the army to intervene, they were told "Well it takes the X hours to activate, then y hours to stage before they can do anything, you were told this".

They absolutely lost their shit, and the one guy who wanted them activated just put his head in his hands.

The reason the virus got out, that one guy wanted to give them police authority to shoot anyone who left the hospital cordon, but the rest of the panel thought a senior police officer couldn't handle that and wanted to micromanage him over Comms. So it went like this:
Police officer: they are breaking the cordon do we have permission to fire
COBRA committee: time for a committee meeting, who brought the tea
One sane member of COBRA committee: A re you all fucking insane, shoot a few now or everybody dies you cowards!
COBRA committee: that wont look good on the news, we can't just shoot people
Police officer: we need a decision, right now
One sane member of COBRA committee: Authorise it now FFS
COBRA committee: is there anything else we can do, police officer
Police Officer: they have broken the cordon, it's too late.
Civil servant comes in: Committee members, within 4 weeks 99% of the worlds population will be dead because of your actions.

The virus, was 99% infectious and 99% deadly.

Actual politicians are probably less decisive and capable, especially leftist ones. Dont ascribe to malice that which you can attribute to stupidity.
