I stumbled across an AI-generated list of the greatest athletes of all time on X today. While I agree with Michael Jordan being ranked #1, I’d definitely put Floyd Mayweather Jr. ahead of LeBron James. I also think it’s surprising that Khabib Nurmagomedov and Novak Djokovic didn’t make the cut.

Interesting list. Kelly Slater definitely should be in there, really the Michael Jordan of Surfing.

The AI (which feeds off of google and other big tech) frowns on opposing the jab, so he'll never be ranked.

And Brady in the list is silly too. Without his OL and the refs not calling blatant holding calls he's nothing comparatively. Jerry Rice would have been a better NFL choice, the way he dominated over other WR's.

How on earth is Jon Jones on this list and not Christiano Ronaldo. But Lebron is where is should be. Way down there not even close to Michael.

Not a Patriots fan, I see!

I actually thought Brady was too far down on the list. I had to look up Jon Jones to see who that is. Some WWE guy apparently. Is that even a sport?

Nothing against Brady or Patriots, really.

There can be a good discussion about QBs and who's best. Not so much with WRs.

It was an AI generated list, which brings all of AI's limitations to the table. Even if a human tried to create the list, how do you compare across different sports? I figure you have to look at how much they stand above others in their sport. For example, it's probably fair to put Usain Bolt on the list, because he absolutely dominated his sport for many years.

I made fun of Jon Jones, because I never heard of him. He is in MMA, not WWE as I said. Apparently he is regarded as one of the best MMA fighters of all time. Does one of the best in a single sport really get you on the 10 best overall list? I think you'd have to be clearly head and shoulders above anyone else within your sport to get on the overall top 10 list.

It's an interesting rabbit hole to go down. You could create a whole Youtube channel on this topic alone, and create interesting content on the subject for years.

I was just going by the fact that nearly every major sport was in the list and only listed once (except basketball and soccer) so you choose the best from each sport and the amount they 'dominated' over others.

I think you could also add swimming, gymnastics...

I really didn't want to get that deep into this :D

Hmm support woke causes like BLM and illegal migrants, get attacked by Black migrants....

Looks like they stopped being useful idiots to the regime ...

Diversity is a strength they told us. They should embrace this strength.

I'm sure more kneeling and virtue signaling will fix this.

NFL, NBA Issue "Security Alert" After Migrant Gangs Target Players' Mansions

America's top professional sports leagues have warned players about the growing threat of illegal alien criminal gangs targeting their mansions. This comes after a string of break-ins of athletes' homes, including Kansas City Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero published a note about how the sports league issued a "security alert" to teams after "organized and skilled criminals" targeted players' homes.

Pelissero continued:

Sources say the FBI is investigating the crime wave as international organized crime. The league, the NFL Players Association and team security forces also have been monitoring the crime spree, which is believed to be tied to a South American crime syndicate. At least one other current NFL player's home was burglarized in the past week.

"It's legit," said one source familiar with the situation. "It's a transnational crime ring, and over the last three weeks, they've focused on NBA and NFL players, and it's all over the country."

...

The homes of Mahomes and Kelce were burglarized on consecutive days last month in the Kansas City area. The Minnesota home of former Vikings defensive tackle Linval Joseph, who now plays for the Dallas Cowboys, was part of a series of burglaries last weekend, according to police.

Multiple people with knowledge of the crimes said the perpetrators are nonconfrontational and do not burglarize homes while residents are inside. Instead, they use public records to find players' addresses and conduct extensive surveillance. Then, by tracking team schedules and the social media accounts of players and their families, they wait until homes are empty -- often during games -- and gain access and quickly steal items such as cash, jewelry, watches and handbags, focusing mainly on master bedrooms and closets.

The alert issued on Wednesday by NFL Security confirmed the modus operandi and offered a number of recommendations, including not posting in real time on social media, installing security systems and keeping valuables out of plain sight.
Separately, NBC News confirmed a memo sent by the NBA to teams, citing FBI intelligence, about crimes linked to "transnational South American Theft Groups" that target "professional athletes and other high-net-worth individuals."

An alarming trend of illegal alien crimes has spread nationwide to major cities because of the Biden-Harris administration's nation-killing open southern border invasion (championed by globalists) that rolled out the red carpet to ten-plus million unvetted migrants.

One of the worst transnational South American gangs is Tren de Aragua, spreading across the nation like stage four cancer, setting up operations in major cities.

Just months ago, investigative reporter James O'Keefe published a US Army North Division memo that warned an estimated 5,000 TdA gangsters were in the US. We suspect that number is a lot higher.

The American people have given President-elect Donald Trump and incoming Border Czar Tom Homan a mandate to fix this illegal alien invasion crisis. It's time to hold accountable those who rolled out the red carpet for dangerous illegal aliens.

I was always disgusted by Favre handing the sack record to Strahan. I'd be pissed too if I was Gastineau.

That's sad I feel for that guy, I'm the last guy to get emotional about sportsball but he took away the guys pride and glory for nothing but self promotion....that's pretty rough.

When I stopped wrestling early in college because of what essentially amounted to politics that hurt and I still look back upon it and think about what could have been.

The video showed that Favre was going to get hit/sacked regardless, nothing scandalous about him going down, it was probably to avoid getting hit too hard, which is normal for a veteran QB.

I read up on this, and my understanding is that Farve was going to get sacked one way or the other. He folded to avoid a hard tackle, which is what quarterbacks normally do to avoid getting overly beat up and injured. However, even if he had stayed up and took a hit, he was going to get sacked.

In any case, Gastineau can't expect people on opposing teams to just give him the record. That's not how any of this works.

Edit: I see Cooper already made the same point about the sack.

Edit 2: I also read that Gastineau was brain damaged from too many hits to the head, and can't be held accountable for his behavior like a mentally intact person. It's good that the NFL has tightened up protections against this kind of thing.

Yea they say that now but what I read was that they had spoken just before the play and the play was specifically made for him to run into him unblocked which makes sense if you go watch it. Favre was running half speed did the weakest fake hand off I've ever seen and had already tucked wasn't looking downfield to throw at all and Strahan pulled up when he got to him....it was all at half speed go take a look at it. Last plays of a blowout they're having their immobile playoff bound QB scramble on a play action....I don't even know football like that and even I can see it's a ruse.

Yeah it looks the Packers intentionally let Strahan through to sack Favre and get the record. I would have been irritated about it too if I was Gastineau, but it happened a long time ago so he should let it go. At first I thought his behavior was pretty childish and pathetic, but if he has brain problems now then it makes sense. These older football players and boxers have had their brains scrambled.

Strahan does seem like a nice guy so maybe that's why the Packers were helping him out.
