Lounge of The Russian-Ukrainian War

The Shevchenko Lithium Ore Field, the largest in Europe, holds an estimated 13.8 million tons of lithium ore, with up to 207,000 tons of pure lithium oxide, as per a 2018 Ukrainian geological study.
The deposit also contains tantalum, niobium, and beryl. In 2021, Australian-registered, British-owned mining company European Lithium was reportedly in the process of “securing” rights to the field.

The number of Ukrainians killed is probably accurate as they have direct access to the primary sources as the US is funding something like 80% of the Ukrainian's costs, but I seriously doubt they have accurate numbers on the Russians killed. Also, Trump likes big numbers, so there's that too.
We already know the Ukrainian number is far higher than anything admitted publicly because commanders are lying, writing down missing or injured instead of KIAs to keep their paychecks coming from the gov, straight into said corrupt commander's pocket. Many such cases.

700k is an accurate count of Ukrainian KIAs. That statement by Trump was remarkable in that it is the first admission by a high NATO official of the real extent of the carnage in Ukraine.

For the Russian losses, Mediazona, which ironically is a BBC-backed research entity that documents Russian losses based on actual local information has a current estimate of 88k for total Russian KIAs.

The approximately 10:1 ratio of KIA or WIA has been relatively consistently reported throughout the war.

Personally, I believe it to be higher. Closer to 1 mil, but that's not from any hard data, just from following the war updates. Its been going for over 1,000 days now, so times that by 1,000 kia per day and they are easily at a million.

Numbers for RU have ranged from 50k to 100k KIA, which if its on the high side matches the 10 to 1 ratio. Either way, Russia has a ton of trained soldiers and the Ukrainian keep running out. Not a good balance of resources...

Some thoughts on the Fauci matter:
- his pardon goes back to 2014... Is there something pre-COVID that requires such protection?
- Forum favorite Victoria Nuland admitted in congressional testimony that the ukrainians had been operating biological research facilities for some time. These facilities are believed to be funded/supervised by US interests, amongst them likely Dr. Fauci.
- the Russian General recently assassinated in front of his apartment building was their lead guy for investigating these bio-facilities.

Obviously, there's more to this story than we know. I doubt Trump will forward Fauci to the tender hands of Russia, but it is intersing they are calling this particular matter out - for worldwide public consumption.

Re: Trump's proposal for "Ukraine Peace." Well, a guy has to start somewhere. He's still acting like he's the biggest swinging Richard in the room. I doubt that will be well-received. In N. America, he is. In EE, we'll see. Maybe the bravado works, but I don't think Russians appreciate being told that they helped the US win WW2. An unnecessary historical representation, no matter what hollywood says. Ball is in Putin' court now, if he chooses to respond.

Also, I am unaware of any US missile strikes into Russia proper since the inauguration. Have I missed something? If Trump does them, then Putin will lose even more face (fuzzy red lines and all). Trump can speak as he likes, but the battle decisions will tell a lot.

Yes, this is what Russians have been telling me too and what their generals say in statements regarding the fact that Germany beat the other European countries with ease, while Russia proved to be too formidable.

The US has massively halted arms shipments to Ukraine

The United States has withdrawn all applications for the transit of goods in the interests of Ukraine through Rzeszow, Constanta and Varna.

All shipments of weapons and military equipment to Ukraine have been stopped at NATO bases in Europe.

According to preliminary estimates alone, we are talking about several thousand tons of weapons and military equipment.

All Pentagon employees involved in arms supplies to Kyiv have been fired or suspended.

A large-scale audit of the misuse of funds for aid to Ukraine begins.
