Latest German Lunacy

IIRC, literally the day after Germany shut down it's last nuclear reactor, Finland opened their own, becoming the largest nuclear power plant in Europe. Finland stated, “The production of Olkiluoto 3 stabilizes the price of electricity and plays an important role in the Finnish green transition...". Germany shut down all their nuclear reactors, stating that doing so, "plays an important role in their transition to green energy."

It's hard to be more woke than the Finns, but "hold my Löwenbräu", I guess.

This "green" movement will go down in history as the great lunacy of the 21st century.

Side note: here in Kangaroo land we wanted nuclear power for decades only for the "greens" to constantly sabotage the efforts made by wise men.

Honest question, couldn't you guys literally put the plant somewhere in no man's land so even in a Tschernobyl scenario pretty much every citizen would remain unscathed?

I think the reason that hasn't happened is that no-one lives there. The amount of powerlines substations etc would make it illogical. They were talking about building a nuclear power plant in the Gippsland region of Victoria near the coast which would situate it close(ish) to Melbourne Canberra and Sydney but alas that never happened and won't after the Fukushima disaster as they all got scared.

At this point I couldn't care less to be honest. This has been going on since 2015 and nothing is ever done, the populace just keeps taking it up the backside and then asks for another. And I bet you good money that next month Germans are going to vote for the very same people who let the country go to hell in the first place. Sadly I agree with those Africans, in 20 years there won't be any more Germans left.

The guy is twice the size of that animal, could've easily taken it out.

What a disaster.

What will make the pot boil over?

Mass unemployment and/or hyperinflation.
Nothing else motivates Germans to change.
even then the welfare state would be a safety net that would solve all of those issues. Germans are simply blind to all of these tragedies. It's honestly sad at this point.

I'll briefly summarise for the non German speakers. After a 2 year old child was killed by a migrant, a memorial was held in the city where the homicide took place. Due to rising concerns about the right wing movement using such events (they take place at least once a week now in Germany), anti fascists occupied the area around the memorial. According to their own statements, the right wing politicians essentially aren't worthy of giving their condolences, therefore, this decision was justified by the anti fascist people.

Despite similar tendencies in other countries, I think the German hive mind is still unique. There is an extremely strong focus on not letting stabbings, sexual abuse, homicides etc. legitimize the conservative movement. The antifa protests and overall sentiment are so strong that they always eclipse the gruesomeness of the crimes and the sadness of the victims in terms of perceived importance.

Elon Musk’s statement “It’s okay to be proud to be German” is creating a storm in Germany for a very simple reason.

Unless you’ve been to Germany, it’s impossible to comprehend just how deeply the German people in particular have been conditioned to hate themselves, to be ashamed of their country, to sever any connection with their own identity.

I first noticed it as a teenager, when talking to a German exchange student called Lukas. Somebody teased him jokingly about World War II, and he immediately turned bright red and looked on the verge of tears. His reaction seemed totally over the top, and I didn’t understand it until I eventually visited Germany myself, and saw how deep the conditioning was.

What’s being done to the German people is evil. I hope the AfD succeed in turning the tide.
