Back in late September, I asked my priest if there was a prayer that could grant supernatural attraction. Now, I want to answer my own question from June.
I mentioned to him that Roman Catholic clergy seem attractive to others, especially women, and wondered if a similar phenomenon exists in the Orthodox Church. Surprisingly, he said that many people want to get close to Orthodox clergy (though not romantically), often bringing gifts (which Orthodox clergy usually do not accept). He explained that people are drawn not to the person but to the energy of Christ within them. However, he also warned that this energy can make many people hate the clergy.
Finally, he said that to determine if likability comes from Christ, one must see if the likable clergy take pride in their condition. If they are prideful, it is not from Christ.
From my own observation, likable Catholic priests do not take pride in their likability, suggesting they are sincere in their duty to Christ.
If my stories seem cryptic, it's because I come from a culture that has special prayers and rituals to gain supernatural abilities, from romantic matters to gaining favor with bosses, increasing fortune, and even making one's body impervious to harm.
So, I wondered if there is a Christian equivalent for gaining supernatural abilities.
However, it seems that the Christian way is to be blessed to find our future spouse. And indeed, there is no shortcut or cheat to getting what you want.
