Even those small percentages surprise me. I'd be interested to hear if any of the Canadian guys on the forum ever here anyone on their side of the border talking positively about joining the US. I've never encountered this, even among Canadians who have a very positive opinion of the US.

Even if there were more support for annexation on the Canadian side, thinking about it rationally, I don't see how it would be beneficial to the US. I mean that mainly in the sense that I view Canadian moderates as basically the same as American liberals, so we'd essentially be adding tens of millions of "woke" liberal voters, not to mention all the Indians and other third worlders Canada has imported under Trudeau.

Adding Canada as a state would be a complete disaster. It will be like adding another communist, California as Canada and California are approximately the same size. We would have Uber left politicians in the presidency forever. Adding in Canada as a territory, that has possibilities. But that would have to be something in it for Canada to say yes to that, and it couldn’t be a situation like Puerto Rico, where Puerto Rico pays no taxes, but gets all of the benefits from being part of the United States I’m not saying the idea of combining the United States in Canada isn’t without merit, but adding Canada as a state would destroy the union with Uber left policies and presidents forever

Yes, I get what @BeatUpTruck said about Canada's natural resources being the draw, but I agree with you, adding what's essentially cold California to the Union far outweighs that in negatives for us, even if most Canadians were interested, which they're not.

I've met Canadians who are based or right wing or both, but for each of those I've met it seems like there are five or ten who are basically the same as American liberals or further left.

It’s worse than that. Canada is very much divided between urban and rural areas the loggers, truck drivers, oilfield workers, that are in the countryside of Canada are going to be very conservative. However in the cities they flood in panjeets who are super democratic ultra leftists, in the cities are already full of leftist.

In short, the Canadian left has grown dramatically by growing their cities through migrants. I don’t think there is any going back.
 
Canada is a beautiful country I hate to see it go to waste. Especially BC is insanely beautiful, I have family there. You guys are (were) very lucky.

But... It ain't as bad as OZ yet and joining the USA will play right into the globalist playbook.

If you are trying to say, "We cannot do anything to Russia, so how could we do anything to Canada?"
