No one said it makes any sense or it’s going to have some immediate benefit. It is very entertaining though. The Don Jr MAGA shtick is cringe but obviously there are people still trying to participate in that kind of kosher patriotism.

As far as Canada, it’s fully dependent on the United States. You can’t just annex Alberta. Alberta would be the catalyst breakaway though for this North American project.

It’s going to be great watching these Canadian politicians explain what Canadian identity is with the billions of pajeets standing behind them. Canada also has non-existent negotiating power. This makes it a very bizarre situation where Trump can either keep the status quo or if he demands some kind of concessions from Canada it would be economically impossible for them to give them. This is why the union is in the cards unless Trump just drops the subject.

In the bigger picture, I do understand the geopolitical impetus for this. NATO has utterly failed in their proxy war in the Ukraine, having based their engagement on a flawed and outdated notion that Russia is a poor, stupid, backward country of drunks and sluts. A lot of this has to do with the jews that run the US govt and the west in general, who have an ancient hatred towards Russia and the Orthodox Church, due to their expulsion by the Rus 1000 years ago. The jews lead the west around by the nose, using them to do their bidding and fighting their neurotic wars.
That being said, the collective west and the weakened shell of NATO has no choice left in how to create a bulwark against their Russian bogeyman, except to expand the US military industrial complex to the Arctic, and by making Canada and Greenland part of the USA they would have an entirely free hand to do so. I am not at all saying I am in favor of this. The US economy is a lopsided one, and has been since the 80s, with the MIC dominating all spheres. However, in the end, it cannot be sustained. The US has two options: a hyper-militarized and paranoid state ruling over a sick and impoverished people, or to build trade alliances and seek peace through that, and prosper. I do not think the jews know how to get off their psychotic power-tripping hobby-horse, though.

Let’s just talk about how many treaties the forced annexation of Iceland, Canada, Mexico and the Panama Canal would break and how it would completely cripple the United States diplomatically.

Denmark is part of NATO, Canada and Mexico are both part of NAFTA and are both fairly anti-American in their current governing policies. These countries and their populations are not gonna freely rollover their Nation to the US, just because they want it.

The only one that makes any semblance of sense would be the Panama Canal, since the US built it and owned it.

Trump is an expert at dominating headlines and selling people a fantasy. The fantasy never materializes in reality. He then scales back the ask and gets maybe a small part of it. He’s been doing this for decades.

It also speaks for the lack of critical thinking skills in the population, but let’s face it you have to appeal to the masses as opposed to say a Desantis type.

In a psychological sense it works making these grandiose statements because it starts the conversation on a topic. People also like to be fooled, they want the hope that it’s real.

Newsflash, he’s not stopping the Russia Ukraine war in one day either, a claim repeated over and over by some hardcore Trump supporters.

All these statements will probably materialize in the real world as say a better monetary deal for the US for the canal and use of Greenland for the military.

The four territories/countries mentioned are Greenland, the Panama Canal, Mexico and Canada - with particular emphasize on the Panama Canal and Greenland as those carry most importance, have relatively small populations, a shared history with the US, little to no political clout and could therefor be turned into US Territories.

I also read the idea somewhere that the most practical thing to do would be to just bribe the Greenlanders. With a population of just over 50k, kicking each voter in Greenland a few million USD to decide that becoming a US territory doesn't sound so bad after all does sound simpler, cheaper, and much less ugly than an actual invasion.

That's doable - Greenland is a self-governing, autonomous region with the right to self determination. Make them a good offer in terms of economic development and let them decide.

Since when has the USA ever cared about the consequences of breaking international treaties, and having diplomatic problems ?
This has been the modus operandi of the United States on the world stage since at least 1914.
Who's gong to sanction the USA ? Most of the "western countries" are just puppets/satellite states of the USA with very little true sovereignty, and are fully dependant on them for defence, business, and hundreds other things.

I think they've given about $100-150 billion a year, which is a lot, but less than a third of $57 biillion a month.
