Decline of Functioning Society

I’ve always regarded the W140 S-Class as the ultimate flagship of the Mercedes brand.

Newer BMWs are an abomination. Sad to see the decline. Their cars look like and weigh as much as a bloated whale. Ultimate Driving Machine my arse. I’d say Audis now make the most overall desirable German sedans. None of them are reliable, and I was once told by a factory mechanic that the newer cars were given parts only designed to last for the term of the warranty.

I’ve never owned a Japanese car but have a lot of appreciation for the various brands, some more than others. I seriously considered buying a Toyota as my latest vehicle but couldn’t come to terms with shelling out that much money on a used vehicle, but I do understand why people do given the proven reputation.

Edit: I will also say I drove a Hyundai a few years ago and was impressed. I recently drove a brand new Volvo and found it to be annoying and underwhelming.
Nowadays you cannot go wrong with a Toyota. Without doubt, the most reliable cars out there.

Toyota is no longer a good brand anymore. So many recalls recently. Some are catching fire!!!

It's getting so bad that that Toyota is denying warranties and spying on owners to see if they are driving in certain ways that allow them to legally deny free repairs.

I guess stick to the older model second hand Toyotas. It is becoming impossible to escape clown world.
