2024 Election Lounge

Weird hands and body language from weirdo Tim. Seems uncomfortable. Hard to tell with this guy.

Strange that Alex is posting things like this or that he needs social media at all, considering his Dad didn't.

He has major influence in the Democratic Party with access to White House in meeting Biden-Harris Administration's officials.

Alex Soros’s White House access under Biden hits two dozen visits

Alex Soros, the 38-year-old son of Democratic megadonor George Soros, has visited President Joe Biden’s White House at least two dozen times since 2021, according to White House visitor logs.

Updated White House visitor logs place the younger Soros, who recently took over his father’s $25 billion empire, at the White House around 25 times between October 2021 and May 2024. His latest appearance was for a state dinner. The high-level meetings and appearances at exclusive gatherings have come as George Soros donates large checks to Democratic lawmakers and left-of-center causes, with Alex Soros also establishing himself as a top federal campaign contributor.

The White House visits illustrate how Alex Soros has gained influence in the Biden-Harris administration and likely would continue to have the ear of top officials in a Harris-Walz administration. Alex Soros was widely photographed attending meetings with Democrats at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago in August. His fiancee, ex-Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin, was as well.

Meanwhile, groups funded by George Soros have also enjoyed high-level Biden White House access, while, in some cases, helping to shape key policy behind the scenes.

In May, Alex Soros and Abedin attended a state dinner for Kenya at the White House and were joined by Binaifer Nowrojee, the president of the Soros-backed Open Society Foundations grantmaking network.

White House visitor logs also show Alex Soros attended at least two meetings in May in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, with his point person being State Department official Amos Hochstein.

Over the course of the Biden-Harris administration, Alex Soros has visited the private residence of Vice President Kamala Harris and met with recent top White House officials, such as Nina Srivastava and Ron Klain, the Washington Examiner reported.

Other large gatherings that he attended have included a state dinner in honor of French President Emmanuel Macron and a White House event for the confirmation of left-wing Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, according to White House visitor logs.

While the Soroses remain a force in the left-wing donor world, internal tension has brewed among Open Society staff over Alex Soros’s alleged lack of communication about changes to the organization, sources told the Washington Examiner this year.

“Why aren’t we hearing from Alex?” one employee at Open Society said. “Why aren’t we having meetings with Alex for him to say, ‘Hey, this is the direction of the organization?’ I think it’s not clear what direction they’re really trying to go. It would be great if they gave more clarity. Are we planning for the long term? It’s concerning to a lot of staff that there doesn’t seem to be clarity for the long term.”

A spokesperson for Open Society declined to comment on the White House visits, telling a Washington Examiner reporter, “Your last story about Alex Soros showed that your newspaper is a platform for antisemitism and inaccuracies.” The spokesperson did not elaborate further.

Edit.

Weirdo coach going to meet with little Soros is completely unsurprising. Of course he did.

What IS surprising is Huma Abedin being photographed alongside them. I had to look it up:

Huma Abedin, former aide to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, is engaged to Alex Soros, son of billionaire liberal donor George Soros.

The duo revealed the news Wednesday on Instagram, writing: “This happened…we couldn’t be happier, more grateful, or more in love.” Soros proposed to Abedin in late May after less than a year of dating, according to Vogue.

Abedin, 47, and Soros, 38, are both familiar names to anyone who follows politics and business.

Maybe I'm late to the party, but I was completely unaware of this. This is something that is rather shocking, but so expected at the same time.

I just wonder how the matchmaker presented it.

"Alex. She's 10 years older than you, divorced, with a kid named Weiner...she's perfect for us!"

"Huma. We give it a less than 55 percent chance that he'll send penis pictures to underage girls!"

Truly a match made in hell.

It's a fake relationship. Alex Soros is gay, Abedin is well-known as a paid beard for famous closeted men. She previously "dated" Bradley Cooper.

Alex needs to flex a bit because he's still up and coming.

Hopefully Trump won't go easy in the next debate. or whenever he has the chance to speak again. I have been listening to some of kamala's speeches (if you can call them that). What I found astounding is how unconvincing she sounds. No enthusiasm, energy or creativity. she just goes through the motions and mouths empty platitudes. Including the debate. The only moment that really piqued my interest was the bit about doing whatever necessary to get the hamas hostages out to safety. I was actually on the edge of my seat waiting to see how exactly she was going to accomplish that but the punchline never came.

if they do manage to push her over the finish line, I will be curious how kamala will square off with real world leaders. you know, those who rose to prominent positions of power through their merits alone.

I'm expecting this to become a much more common occurrence.

I think Kamala has brought Marianne Williamson into her campaign team.
