Replaying LA Noire. The story is so engrossing that I've never just drove around in the open world. I'm about halfway through the story and while I am thoroughly enjoying it, I'm also looking forward to finishing it and driving around this beautiful and apparently extremely accurate rendering of post WW2 Los Angeles. I'm aware there isn't much at all to do as an "open-world" game, maybe just a few petty crimes to stop and collectibles to gather, but for the first time I'm interested in really checking out the city. I'm thinking there is a whole lot I've never seen before, despite having played it several times, especially because virtually every time I get around, I ask my partner to drive and the game jumps forward.
For story and style alone, LA Noire is one of Rock Star's best and most unique gaming experiences. Maybe I'll find even a bit more to enjoy.
