It’s the same guy. People might be arguing about why if he’s so smart why did he still have the weapon, etc.
Easy answer imo, he wanted to get caught, send a message, and become a celebrity which he succeeded at. If you look into his background he seems to be outspoken and a bit arrogant. He’s also 26 and many in that generation are all about being celebrities on social media etc.
The intelligence agencies have bigger fish to fry, then to go after one of their corrupt own.
My guess is he wasn’t done and had other targets on his list.
He was on the run and was probably amazed the police hadn’t caught him in nearly a week.

Or maybe he was feeling remorse and the reality of what he had done was hitting him.
Guy was unstable from several sources and my guess is drugs. Pain killers / opiates from the back surgery, possibly anabolic steroids, and he tweeted out about making the distinction between different classes of drugs.
Combine all those and some psychedelics for good measure and the guy goes insane.
Psychedelics especially can open doorways you don’t want to open.
Great movie, but we also live in different times. In the US people have wide open access to all these drugs on college campuses and their social circles. It makes the agents in the MK Ultra operation look like Boy Scouts.
Opiates, marijuana, psychedelics, Molly, LSD, and all this stuff is widely available. He wouldn’t need any gov agents to get them for him. Not to mention the synthetic crap being trafficked over the border by the Mexicans and the Chinese.
I think it could be naïveté. He probably didn’t think he was going to be picked up a state away in a smaller area. He probably went through great efforts to procure a ghost gun and didn’t want to ditch it unless he thought he needed to, as he may have wanted to use it again or thought he may need it for protection. The manifesto element is ridiculous and highly suspect.
Not sure what to think until more info comes out, if it ever does, but the whole situation is odd. It seems the planning for the hit was very detailed and well executed, not sure how he would come by the intel that he had. At the same time it seems his planning and execution for the long(er) term escape and evasion was sloppy.

I think he might have disposed the gun. Police knew it was him but had to plant the gun to be able to prosecute him. I could be completely wrong and he was actually carrying the gun with him for all those days.

So, before going into McDonalds or a restaurant, you put the ghost gun in some bushes or forest somewhere, then get a bite to eat. The gun will be there when you return.
How can someone be smart enough to track down a CEO's schedule but not smart enough to keep some distance between himself and the murder weapon? There are common variety drug dealers who have more sense than this.

I thought of the "Office Space" guys and their embezzlement scheme when I read your post.
They were smart enough programmers to steal the money, but not very good at covering their tracks afterward.
One of the guys says "how can these Neanderthal mafia guys be so good at crime, and smart guys like us suck so badly at it?"
I know it's a fictional example, but maybe the screenwriter was trying to make a point about "smart" people based on experience.

Just judging by the wording of the tweet, it doesn't sound like she did anything different than a million other people on Twitter. If all she said is "You people are next", that's weak sauce. Even if she said, "I am going to get a gun, hunt down (specific insurance guy) and shoot him", that seems weak. There are tons of tweets with people saying I'm going to kill you. Usually by a liberal threatening a conservative.
I expect that after scaring her and making her spend money on a lawyer, they will drop this case, or reduce the charges and give her probation. I'm surprised to see this British style censorship happening in Florida.

He is a crisis actor and the whole thing is fake. They want AI precision (personalized) healthcare. That’s the goal and this is either a “shock test” to see how the masses feel about it and/or a step in that direction. The more I hear about the case, the more conspiracies whirl around my head.
Do we know what the gun is yet? Always interesting to speculate.
Edit: Reading through some of the comments (assuming most are real - maybe a big stretch) and also judging from the irreverent behavior in the video, again we have a complete lack of pity for the victim. The world is in a strange and dangerous time.
