The Trump-Vance Administration (The People Who Work For Trump)

I say get rid of all current coins, but issue new coins for $1, $5, and $10. Get rid of those denominations in paper money and keep only the $20, $50, and $100 bills.

Obviously also pass law requiring acceptance of cash.
Paper and coins both have their place. Power/internet outages, and some very rural places simply aren't connected enough to switch away from hard currency. During WWII the metals used in penny production were scarce so in 1943 pennies were made of steel. Our currency is fiat anyway so there is no reason not to simply change the metal composition to something cheaper. Ergo, there is no reason to stop making pennies. Drawing down the production of physical money is the first step long term to a CBDC.

The government tried to push $1 coins in the late 90s/early 2000s with the Susan B Anthony and Sacajwea dollars. Vending companies liked them, but the average American didn't. Easier and lighter to carry paper.

I remember. However, now you can't buy anything for a dollar. You can carry pounds of coins to be able to pay for what used to be called "penny candy".

In Europe, they have 1 an 2 Euro coins, so a pocket full of change can actually buy lunch at an inexpensive place. I'd say if we're going to reform currency in the US, the smallest denomination should be somewhere around the cost of a bite sized Snicker's bar, which would be about $1.You should be about to buy a pound of food for less than a pound of coins.

What do you expect? People are pissed off, small biz owners especially. These kinds of posts will probably only grow in numbers as long as the economy is in the toilet.

She’s another grifter in training playing the MAGA crowd. But some of you guys never learn.

Check out her TikTok channel profile pic.

Is that her and her bf/husband in front of the Las Vegas sign?

Cleaning lady who complains about the economy and government waste yet has the cash to go to Las Vegas and gamble…right…

No. It is called righteous anger (or indignation). Her anger is directed at the politicians' and federal government's sinful behaviors and wrongdoing over stealing taxpayers money for personal gains.

I highly doubt that. Her channel is all over the place. Seems like a grifter in training to me.

Canada has has a 1$ and $2 coins for decades now. Also abolished the penny completely for quite a few years now. Nobody’s complaining

They need to bring back the 50¢ and $1 coins, as well as the $2 bill. $1 bills are overused and nasty rags, and there is little that can be bought with them, so you have to have a bunch of them in order to buy things. Better to use 2x $2 bills or a $5. Maybe having lived in Europe so long I am just used to using lots of coins. They last for decades (saving money), and are easy to use for donations, giving to beggars, paying toll roads, using vending machines, etc. I honestly don't use paper notes for anything under 10€.

I get annoyed with coins because they're uncomfortable to carry and I have a propensity to lose them. It's almost like you need a second wallet just for your coins.

In Europe it's actually better when you buy something for €4.99 it's actually €4.99 and you get one cent back if you pay with a 5 euro note. In the US when you buy something for $4.99, it can turn out as $5.31 due to sales tax. Then you pay with a 10 and get a bunch of pennies, nickels and dimes.

The USA has had mass produced (non silver) 1 dollar coins since the year 1971, when they started minting the large size Eisenhower dollar.
In 1979 they reduced the size and changed the shape and started minting the Susan B. Anthony dollar.
Because of the similar size and shape of the Susan B. Anthony dollar to the US quarter, they changed it again in the year 2000, to the yellow/golden coloured Sacagawea dollar.
In the year 2007, they also started minting the 1 dollar Presidential dollar coins, which are the same size, color, and shape as the Sacagawea coin.
In the year 2018, Trump also ordered the treasury to start minting the American Innovation dollars, which are the same size, color, and shape as the Sacagawea coin.

As it stands today, there are literally BILLIONS of these 1 dollar coins (of all 5 variations) that have been minted and they are ALL still legal tender in the USA. If you go to your local bank, they will give you dozens of rolls and/or tons of bags of the stuff. And yet almost no one wants to use them, and many shop keepers look at you funny if you try and pay with them because they have never seen them before.

Here's a photo of all 5 types of dollar coins made since 1971 which (I repeat again) are all still legal tender today.
Honestly...how many have you seen of these while paying for things or getting change in the USA ?

Here's a video as well, showing 4 of the 5 variations.

Here we go:

Five former Treasury Secretaries issued a stark warning calling out President Donald Trump’s latest moves at the Treasury as a direct threat to American democracy’s financial backbone in a show of rising alarm.

The letter, published in The New York Times, unites Robert E. Rubin, Lawrence H. Summers, Timothy F. Geithner, Jacob J. Lew, and Janet L. Yellen—all veterans of Democratic administrations—in condemning what they describe as “arbitrary and capricious political control of federal payments.”

“While significant data privacy, cybersecurity and national security threats are gravely concerning, the constitutional issues are perhaps even more alarming,” they wrote.

At the heart of their concern is billionaire Elon Musk, who, according to recent reports, has gained access to the Treasury’s federal payments system. That system, responsible for distributing over $6 trillion annually on behalf of federal agencies, contains sensitive personal data for millions of Americans.

Musk, leading Trump’s drive to “shrink the federal government,” is now entangled in what the former secretaries say could “unlawfully undermine the nation’s financial commitments.”

Historically, the Treasury’s payment operations have been overseen by a “small group of nonpartisan career civil servants,” but the letter claims this norm has been shattered by “political actors” working for Trump’s so-called Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), pointing to one unnamed employee who they argued held “financial conflicts of interest.”

“They lack training and experience to handle private, personal data,” the former secretaries wrote, attacking the general qualification of DOGE’s workers. “Their power subjects America’s payments system and the highly sensitive data within it to the risk of exposure, potentially to our adversaries.”

Though a federal judge has temporarily blocked Musk’s access, citing congressional control over the purse strings, the former secretaries warn the threat is far from neutralized.

“People often rely on these funds for survival, making any risk of their cutoff or delay existential,” they concluded. “Any hint of the selective suspension of congressionally authorized payments will be a breach of trust and ultimately, a form of default. And our credibility, once lost, will prove difficult to regain.”

This is just like the 51-former intelligence officers sign a letter that Hunter Biden's Laptop is fake, except now they are doing it for DOGE.

When the rats come scurrying out, you know you've found the nest.

Who's really the "grifter in training"? A Tik Tokker or the one stealing taxpayers money?

I’m not arguing the USA aid thing wasn’t a gigantic scam and waste, but to be skeptical of these supposed MAGA influencers who pop on the scene. They remind me of tradthots, many of whom are former hoes who changed from a failing strategy, and usually their behavior doesn’t signal true repentance, (of course only God knows, but many continue to dress like sluts)

A lady dropping a bunch of F bombs, with a picture taken in Vegas, with a video describing her astrological sign, doesn’t strike me as genuine, no matter how much ‘MAGA’ content she puts up.

That's why you don't bother taking any of them seriously, left or right.

100% valid, I dismiss pretty much everyone who does things which are blatantly for personal attention doesn't matter if I agree with what they are saying or not. But not looking to try and give her credibility just saying in general.....I know some broke all their lives people who have been to Vegas, Facebook is the everyone's fake little perfect life you only see that they want you to see...have to remember that.

What I value is consistency over time. The sure sign of any grifter is that they jump on any new movement to make a name for themselves.

Yea sure that's reasonable and intelligent.

For me personally anyone on the internet who has a vested interest in garnering attention, whether it be monetary or self fulfillment, should always be viewed skeptically does not matter if they are saying what I want to hear. Not to say you can't learn things from those people or that they have nefarious intentions but I don't feel like you should take them to heart, not all the way at least, which I'm sure most here don't but there are some that definitely do not just here but in general. I would trust the words of any man here over someone on social media broadcasting for the entire world, the men here don't have anything to gain from what they say in 99% of the circumstances.

Agree. Also like I mentioned in other posts there is subtle and overt manipulation going on with these influencers and online channels. For example, the lady above seemed to have added some type of filter or special contacts for her eyes (they look like a cat) Then she started yelling and became angry, because you guessed it, emotional content gets spread more easily. Her channel was mostly garbage, with tons of attention seeking videos.

As someone who’s studied marketing in depth, I’m very aware of their tactics and attempts to hijack the lizard brain and bypass any rationality. People are mostly irrational so it works. But are they genuine? I doubt it. Usually they jump on a trend, build a following and grift.

We’re now living in a world where skanks like the Hawk Tua girl make tons of money by pushing crypto scams. We shouldn’t give these people ANY money or any attention. Whether they are saying what we want to hear or if it’s some stupid trend. It leads to the degradation of our society.

Anyway I’m derailing. I didn’t mean to attack any members either if it seemed that way, just wanted to call out what I saw as a fake maga channel.

Back to the Trump / Vance admin posts.
