"Battle for Avdiivka, situation as of 15:00 /Moscow time/ November 2, 2023

In Avdiivka, combined detachments of the Russian Army continue the assault on the fortifications of the Armed Forces of Ukraine around the settlement. At the same time, the RF Armed Forces are carrying out tasks to destroy reinforcements of the Armed Forces of Ukraine withdrawn from other sectors of the front.

Northern flank
Fighters of the Russian Armed Forces carried out several successful attacks along the railway northwest of Krasnohorivka, as a result of which Russian troops gained a foothold near the railway track.
Also, servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces managed to push through the defenses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine south of Vesele. This was facilitated by control over the tactical heights of the waste heap, which left the Ukrainian formations at a disadvantage.
In the east, the Russian Armed Forces aligned the front line along the H20 highway in the area south of Kamyanka. At the same time, fighting continues at the stronghold of the Donetsk Filtration Station.

Southern flank
Russian units are advancing in the vicinity of the fortified area near the "Tsarska Ohota" recreation center. Formations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces holding it have been blocked there for many days and are completely cut off from supplies.
Similarly, the assault detachments of the Russian Army took the territory of the former anti-aircraft unit into a semicircle. Taking it by storm is pointless due to the heavily fortified defenses and risk of losses. It is much more profitable to block it without supplies.
Over the past 24 hours, the RF Armed Forces achieved the greatest successes in the direction of Sjeverne, where, as a result of a successful assault along the front, Russian troops managed to significantly advance both in the direction of the 9th "Khimik" microdistrict and Sjeverne itself (1 km remained to the village).
At the same time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine tried to counterattack with forces combined from units of various brigades both from Pervomaiske and from the southwestern part of Avdiivka, but the Russian military personnel managed to entrench themselves.

What's next?
Since the key task of the Russian Armed Forces grouping in the Avdiivka area this week was to secure the previously occupied advantageous positions, the recent significant advance from both flanks indicates its success and a return to active offensive operations.
Despite the attempts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to launch cutting strikes from Novokalynove, Petrivske and Pervomaiske, as well as regular arrival of reinforcements, Russian troops are gradually tightening their “pincers” around Avdiivka, which is becoming increasingly difficult to defend.
As we have previously reported, the losses of Ukrainian formations have reached catastrophic figures - in some brigades irretrievable losses amount to more than 20%, and the number of refuseniks and deserters is growing. Reinforcements are being transferred from the Kherson region, Zaporozhye and Kharkov regions to carry out a counter-offensive and restore lost positions. The headquarters coordinating the defense of Avdiivka and upcoming counterattacks has already been moved to Kramatorsk.
The Russian offensive, which has attracted the attention of the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to the Avdiivka fortified area, is creating favorable conditions for the activation of the Russian Armed Forces in other directions, where the Ukrainian defenses are more depleted."

Kherson - 02.11.2023

"The situation in the Kherson direction as of 18:00 /Moscow time/ November 2, 2023

The excitement in the Kherson direction due to the consolidation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the left bank of the Dnieper has died down. The enemy’s bridgehead has not gone away, and Ukrainian formations continue to try to increase the zone of control. However, the Russian Armed Forces offer them fierce resistance.

Krynky
In Krynky a few days ago, Ukrainian marines of the 35th Brigade were able to advance from the center of the village to the west, but not for long. The artillery of the Russian Armed Forces again forced the Ukrainian units of the 35th Marine Brigade back to the houses in the central part of the village.
From the east, Russian fighters gained a foothold in positions, putting additional pressure on the forward groups of the Ukrainian marines.
Similarly, the Russian Armed Forces are holding the lines to the south in the forest belts, which are being massively fired by Ukrainian artillerymen with cluster shells.
Positions west of the enemy bridgehead are in the gray zone due to active fire from the right bank.
Ukrainian marines themselves, who are still delivered to Krynky via the Frolov Island, sit in the basements, periodically trying to carry out forays.

Oleshky
Under the railway bridge on the Oleshky Island, the situation remains unchanged. Assault detachments of the Ukrainian marines are setting up new positions in the area of the small railway bridge, but there have been no attempts to break through to Pischanivka and Poima yet.

At the moment, a certain routine has arisen in the direction, which should not be misleading. Despite the fact that the Armed Forces of Ukraine cannot advance deeper, the situation on the left bank of the Dnieper remains precarious. The Armed Forces of Ukraine have a significant advantage in counter-battery warfare and unmanned aerial vehicles, which provide an advantage to forward groups due to the lack of electronic warfare equipment among our units on the front line. This allows the Armed Forces of Ukraine to send UAVs deeper, exploiting gaps in air defense and targeting long-range artillery."

Kupyansk - 02.11.2023
"The situation in the Kupyansk sector by the end of November 2, 2023

Positional battles continue near Kupyansk. Russian units of the West group of troops are systematically suppressing the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, ensuring advancement without heavy losses.
The apparent lack of active events at first glance is deceptive. Soldiers of the Russian Army are pushing the Armed Forces of Ukraine out of their positions every day, which is why more and more reinforcements are being transferred to the city itslef.
Over the past days, the Russian Armed Forces were able to advance south of Pervomaiske, clearing an important forest plantation where the enemy had dug in. This simplifies both the defenses in the area and further advancement to the west.
At the same time, the supply of the Ukrainian Armed Forces group near Kupyansk became significantly more complicated due to the destruction, by the Russian Army, of two pontoon-bridge crossings in Kupyansk. It is, of course, possible to install new ones, but the engineering stock is extremely limited, and with each such blow it becomes only lower.
The number of losses in the Armed Forces of Ukraine is getting higher with every day. In the ranks of Ukrainian units, including the recently deployed 32nd and 54th Mechanized Brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the number of deserters and refuseniks is growing. Because of this, three reserve battalions arrived at Kupyansk.
Now the personnel from the formations of the Terrestrial Defense and the 40th Artillery Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are mining the approaches to the front lines in order to complicate the advance of the Russian Army.
Nevertheless, the position of the Kupyansk group is recognized as critical by the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. To strengthen the forward lines in anticipation of a new phase of the offensive of the Russian Armed Forces, the transfer of reinforcements began.
Previously, we reported that unidentified units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were sent from the Soledar direction and from the Zhytomyr region to Kupyansk. Also, 200 people from the 4th "Rubizh" Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine and 300 people from the 15th Border Detachment of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine occupy the lines in Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka and Stelmakhivka - the enemy grouping near Kupyansk has strengthened, which confirms the information about the extremely difficult situation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in this area."

"The situation in the Vremivka sector by the end of November 2, 2023

Along the Pryyutne-Staromaiorske line in the Vremivka sector, Russian units have been conducting a tactical offensive for several weeks, systematically advancing position by position.
If last week the control of the Russian Army remained south of the Hrusheva Gully, and a significant part of the strongholds in the forests were under the enemy, now the situation has changed. Servicemen of the 394th Motor Rifle Regiment of the 127th Motor Rifle Division of the RF Armed Forces were able to squeeze the Armed Forces of Ukraine out of the forest belts near the ravine and expand the zone of control to the north, significantly improving their situation.
After the withdrawal of the Marine Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the Vremivka sector, the position of the Armed Forces of Ukraine became extremely precarious. Since the positions were mainly occupied by those mobilized from the Territorial Defence Forces, Russian troops took advantage of this."

Crimea - 02-03.11.2023

"Massive drone raid on Crimea. November 2-3, 2023

This night, after our kamikaze drones raided the Ukrainian territories, the Armed Forces of Ukraine in response tried to attack the Crimean Peninsula with Mugin-5 PRO drones stuffed with explosives. The UAV launch area is unknown, but given past attacks, it is highly likely that this was the Odessa region.
A total of 15 drones were released to the northwestern part of Crimea.
- Two Mugin-5s were shot down by crews of the 31st Air Defense Division of the RF Armed Forces in the vicinity of Razdolne.
- Another 13 were suppressed by electronic warfare equipment on approach to the village.
In recent days, satellites have been monitoring the Razdolne area, so the attempted strike was expected.
At the same time, the drone raid was carried out for the second night in a row - yesterday, also over the Crimea, the forces of the 31st Air Defense Division of the RF Armed Forces shot down and suppressed six drones. Only that time the target were the Russian Armed Forces facilities in the Krasnoperekopsk and Pervomaiske districts.
Air defense crews of the RF Armed Forces easily fought back. However, it is worth remembering that such raids without a clearly defined goal are carried out for a reason. A fter attempts at massive drone strikes, as a rule, there are attacks with other types of weapons: cheap commercial drones are entrusted with the task of uncovering the air defense systems, and only after that the missile systems are used. Moreover, now the Armed Forces of Ukraine have ATACMS with a range of up to 300 km, which increases the damage radius, including in Crimea."

Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops have launched several attacks on the positions of the 35th Marine Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Krynky. Currently, Ukrainian units hold several houses in the central part of the village.
It is difficult to squeeze out the enemy and clear the area due to the intense work of artillery, mortars and drones along the area. The detachments of the 35th Marine Brigade were supplied with a new batch of FPV drones, as well as "Shark" reconnaissance UAVs.
Yesterday evening and at night, Russian troops launched several attacks on the Frolov Island, through which the forces in Krynky are supplied. Despite the losses, the rotation transfer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was carried out again.
To the west, near the railway bridge, the forward detachments of the Ukrainian Marines were also rotated. But the artillerymen of the Russian Armed Forces worked on the strongholds under the bridge and next to it, which forced the evacuation of the wounded to the right bank.
But the bridgehead remains. And in the coming days, more serious activation of the enemy near the Dnieper is possible. From the second line, forces in reserve began to move closer to the front line. Columns are moving both in the direction of Ponyativka and in the direction of Kozatske.
At the same time, separate units of the strike group "Katran" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine arrived in Ochakiv, as well as Respublikanets and Sablukivka. This indicates possible attempts at diversionary attacks by the DRGs on the Kinburn Peninsula and in the area of Kairy and Velyka Lepetykha. This version is supported by the recent enemy activity in the vicinity of Heroiske: last night two groups tried to land on two boats east of the village. Russian artillery fired at them, sinking one craft, and the other went back."

On the night of November 3, Russian troops launched a missile attack on the Yavoriv training ground in the Lviv region. This is confirmed by footage available on the Internet showing the consequences of a hit on the facility’s infrastructure.

The training base has already come under attack from the Russian Armed Forces. This happened in March last year, when as a result dozens of mercenaries were eliminated, and the event itself influenced many “soldiers of fortune”, discouraging them from joining the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As often happened, after the successful strike the training ground was included in the list of destroyed objects by the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces. And for some time the base was indeed empty, but by the summer active preparations had resumed there.
Due to its location near Poland and all important logistics junctions, the Yavoriv training ground is the most convenient training base for training members of Ukrainian formations by NATO instructors. It was there that the initial testing of equipment and weapons supplied by the West took place, ranging from self-propelled artillery units to Leopard tanks. Therefore, the strike on the object is quite justified, but the extent of the damage is still unclear."

Krynky
️ Since October 19, Ukrainian formations have held a bridgehead in the village of Krynky on the left bank of the Dnieper. Despite the efforts made by the Russian Armed Forces, as of 18:00 on November 4, it was still not possible to clear the village.
The situation in Krynky remains tense. Ukrainian formations from the "Katran" marine strike group hold the central part of the village, having established supplies through the Frolov Island from the right bank. Frolov Island became, in fact, a transshipment point. The distance between the islands is small and there are rope crossings between them. This makes it possible for boats and boats to move almost silently due to the engines being turned off.
Attempts to clear the enemy’s bridgehead have so far remained unsuccessful. Today, a video went viral on the Internet with an unsuccessful assault attempt made by Russian fighters, which unfortunately showed that there were and still remain problems at the site in organizing counteraction.

Oleshky
To the west, Ukrainian formations tried to advance from the area of the small railway bridge to Poima. The enemy’s movement was revealed in time: Russian artillerymen worked on the Ukrainian formations. This forced the Ukrainian marines to retreat back under the bridge. Additional detachments of the 36th Marine Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were transferred from Prydniprovske to the Oleshky Island.


Yesterday we reported on the transfer of Ukrainian marine formations from, presumably, the 37th Marine Brigade to Respublikanets and Sablukivka, linking this with the possible activation of the DRGs in that area. However, yesterday Russian troops carried out several attacks on the deployment points of both the arriving forces and the Territorial Defence Forces. The exact number of casualties is unknown, but enemy activity decreased either due to successful hits or as part of radio silence.
Despite the rather obvious suicidal nature of the actions carried out by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, they will continue, since the existing gaps in the defenses of the Russian Armed Forces have already allowed them to gain a foothold in several areas. The enemy does not pay attention to the losses and the growing number of refuseniks, since the forces are still available."

Crimea - 04.11.2023

"Complex missile attack on Crimea. November 4, 2023

After two days of Ukrainian drone raids on Crimea in a row, we assumed that this would be followed by a missile strike on targets on the Peninsula. And, to our regret, it turned out to be truth: today the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked Kerch.
Four Su-24M bombers from the Dnepropetrovsk and Zaporozhye regions launched eight Storm Shadow/SCALP cruise missiles in the direction of Crimea.
To distract and overload Russian air defense systems in the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, Ukrainian MiG-29 and Su-27 fighters fired several HARM anti-radar missiles and AGM-160 MALD decoys.
Two MiG-31BM fighters took off from Belbek to intercept. But at the same time, the Ukrainians launched a diversionary attack on Cape Tarkhankut with a Neptune anti-ship missile, which was shot down by a MiG northwest of the Peninsula.
During that time, eight Storm Shadows flew to the Sea of Azov, along the route through Dniprorudne and Polohy, where the S-400 and Pantsir-S1 air defense systems began to operate on them. At the time, the cruise missiles maneuvered, changing their route and altitude.
- Six Storm Shadows were shot down by the 31st Air Defense Division of the RF Armed Forces 50 km north of the Crimean Bridge and over Kerch.
- One missile was shot down directly above the Zaliv plant. The shrapnel had caused damage to the ship next to the pier (although the footage available on the Internet shows a hit on one of the workshops).
- Another one fell into the water near the plant.
After some time, three more Storm Shadows were launched from the same area, which were successfully shot down over Berdyansk.
Today's attack demonstrates how the Armed Forces of Ukraine are trying to vary tactics, overloading air defenses and distracting with raids from different directions. And only thanks to the work of the air defense units, casualties were avoided."

Early in the morning, after previous attempts to attack Sevastopol, Ukrainian formations again carried out a combined attack on the Crimean Peninsula.
First, two drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine intended to hit an oil depot in Feodosia, but both UAVs were shot down.
This was followed by a strike on the base of the Black Sea Fleet and the Russian FSB in Chornomorske. The enemy tried to hit the barracks with at least one Neptune anti-ship missile, but the missile fell into the ground nearby.
At the same time, four unmanned boats entered the Vuzka Bay, targeting the Black Sea Fleet boats stationed there.

According to preliminary data, there were no casualties among the personnel. But again there is evidence of the enemy combining weapons to distract attention: while everyone was waiting for the Neptunes, naval drones leaked into the bay.
The negligence in what happened is surprising: after almost two years of active hostilities, there are still no booms at the Black Sea Fleet port. This automatically made the Black Sea Fleet an easy target for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
There are also questions regarding the organization of defense of the northwestern borders of Crimea. It’s no secret that in many cities of the Peninsula there are a significant number of pro-Ukrainian citizens who leak data to the enemy and point them at Russian positions. The so-called “waiters” feel as comfortable as possible, continuing to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the same time, security forces and other structures still do not have any legal powers to search for and identify them, which significantly increases the risks in this area.
It is quite understandable why the emphasis in today’s night strike is on high-speed and maneuverable boats: they are most effective against enemy naval drones and landing groups. The loss of even a few will affect the capabilities of the Russian Armed Forces and increases the likelihood of resumed raids against the air defense forces in Crimea."

"The situation in the Kherson direction as of 12:00 /Moscow time/ November 10, 2023

Heavy fighting continues on the left bank of the Dnieper, near the village of Krynky. Assault detachments of the "Katran" marine strike group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue the assault on the forest belts adjacent to the settlement.
The day before, as a result of the fighting, Ukrainian formations were able to partially gain a foothold in the forest belt to the south of the village, occupying several positions and equipping observation posts on them. Having achieved little success, the marines of the 35th Marine Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine intended to advance deeper into the forest, but fell into an organized ambush. Three assault detachments of the Ukrainian marines surrendered in the amount of 11 people.
At the same time, Russian artillerymen conducted a massive shelling of the positions occupied by Ukrainian units, forcing them to pull their forces back to Krynky. At night, the wounded were taken to the right bank, and six new groups, along with ammunition and anti-tank systems, were transferred to take their place.
Despite the losses, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are still trying to expand the bridgehead at Krynky. And, judging by the actively carried out rotation, there are currently no serious problems with logistics on the left bank.
Artillery and mortar crews of the Armed Forces of Ukraine provide cover, and guidance is provided by UAV operators. In the Kherson direction, the intensive use of "Backfire" drones began, and the number of strikes by "Baba Yaga" drones also increased.
And this applies not only to drones: both attack helicopters and tactical aircraft of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are increasingly flying right near the front lines, firing at the front lines with unguided munitions, which indicates some gaps in Russian airspace protection.
And against the backdrop of attacks on the Black Sea Fleet and the increased activity of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Odessa region, the likelihood of a full-scale operation in the Kherson region and constraining actions in Crimea increases significantly."

Around the Avdiivka fortified area, Russian units, after a successful advance, switched to defense and consolidation in occupied areas. The Armed Forces of Ukraine, having transferred reinforcements from other directions, tried to counterattack.

Northern flank
Ukrainian formations, operating from Novokalynove, attempted to break through to Krasnohorivka, but were unsuccessful. The exact configuration of the front in this sector is still in the fog of war due to a lack of reliable information.
Today, units of the RF Armed Forces crossed the railway and quickly broke through to Stepove/Petrivske. Servicemen of the Russian Army entered the village, after which they retreated back, “probing” the defenses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. A breakthrough across the railway line indicates a decrease in the enemy's defensive capabilities.
At the same time, members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are increasingly complaining about huge losses and lack of rotation. In the 3rd Battalion of the 31st Mechanized Brigade, the shortage of manpower became so significant that a reception point for mobilized citizens was organized in Novoselivka Persha and Berdychi. At the same time, the option of transferring the 68th Jaeger Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is being considered.

Southern flank
Here the front line remained virtually unchanged. Ukrainian formations several times attacked the positions of the Russian Armed Forces along the forest belt with the support of aviation from Dnepropetrovsk and Mirgorod, but all attacks were repulsed.
The Ukrainian command continues to send reinforcements to hold the Avdiivka fortified area. The other day, a unit of the 147th Battalion of the 116th Territorial Defense Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine arrived at the front line. Information also appeared about the possible transfer of a battalion of the 79th Air Assault Brigade from the Marinka sector. If the information is confirmed, this will mean a weakening of the enemy’s positions in Marinka: the defenses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine there are based on the paratroopers of the 79th Brigade, who are more trained than the Territorial Defense Forces.

What's next?
Currently, Russian troops have entrenched themselves in previously occupied areas, confidently holding back the enemy’s onslaught. After a respite and replenishment of supplies, we should expect a resumption of the offensive to cover Avdiivka.
It is the encirclement from the flanks and the blockade of the contingent inside Avdiivka that is the most optimal solution for taking this strategic fortified area. This will not only save the lives of our military personnel, but also force the Ukrainian Armed Forces to pull more and more forces into the area, weakening other lines."

After several months of active attempts by the enemy to push through the lines of the Russian Armed Forces near Bakhmut and take the city into a semi-encirclement, the capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have decreased. Now the Armed Forces of Ukraine have actually gone on the defensive, while Russian troops, on the contrary, are attacking.

Southern flank
For the last five to seven days, units of the Russian Army have been storming the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near the railway near Klishchiivka. During intense fighting, Russian troops managed to cross the railway track and approach the outskirts of the village.
The offensive of the Russian Armed Forces forced the Ukrainian formations to actually retreat from the settlement and occupy more advantageous positions at adjacent heights. Klishchiivka itself has essentially moved back into the gray zone, since its location in the lowlands makes its defense pointless.
At this stage, to achieve success, military personnel of the Russian Armed Forces needs to achieve control over the heights. Only by gaining a foothold there, it will be possible to continue the attack in other directions, including Andriivka and Krasne/Ivanivske.

Northern flank
On the northern flank, during last week, the Armed Forces of Ukraine tried to advance again along the railway to Berkhivka, but to no avail. Russian paratroopers repulsed the attack and launched a counteroffensive, managing to advance to a depth of 500 meters.
Against this background, Ukrainian forces began to intensively equip a fortified area at the “40 km” rail platform south of the Berkhivka Reservoir.
At the same time, assault detachments of the 77th Airmobile Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are conducting forays in the Khromove direction.

What's the result?
Despite local enemy attempts to attack the positions of the Russian Armed Forces near Bakhmut, their intensity has noticeably decreased compared to summer and early autumn. The number of used artillery shells has significantly decreased, the replenishment of which is not as fast as before. The example of the 77th Airmobile Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is indicative: the “elite” formation, due to losses and lack of people, is replenished at the expense of Territorial Defense Forces, which are hardly trained in the same way as the paratroopers.
In addition, the active advance of the Russian Army near Avdiivka forced the Ukrainian command to react by removing part of the forces from the Soledar direction and exposing the front lines. And this opens up space for an attack by the Russian Armed Forces and expansion of the zone of control in this area."

For the last two days, the command of the "Katran" marine strike group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has been rotating forward units operating in Krynky. Due to intense fire from Russian artillery, assault detachments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine thinned out, forcing the enemy to reinforce the bridgehead with additional forces.
Yesterday night and morning, combined groups of 35th, 36th and 38th Marine Brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were transferred to the central part of Krynky under the cover of artillery and mortar fire. Two assault detachments of the 36th Marine Brigade were sent to the forest adjacent to the village.
After completing the rotation, Ukrainian units began moving through the forest in the southern, western and eastern directions, where they were able to make little progress thanks to fire support from the right bank: in advance of the attack, barrel and rocket artillery guns were deployed to the Tyahynka-Lvove line, and mortar batteries were deployed on Frolov the Island, which fired into the depth of up to 100 meters before the movement of assault troops.
Russian artillery strikes stopped the enemy’s further movement, but the Ukrainian marines gained a foothold on the occupied lines.
On the night of November 13, additional units of the 38th Marine Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as sniper-scout pairs, arrived in Krynky.️ Apparently, Ukrainian units are planning to expand the zone of control in the forest, which is quite reasonable: it is much more convenient to equip strongholds, for developing a further offensive on the left bank, under the tree cover.
At the same time, the command of the "Katran" marine strike group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, judging by the direction of the attack, intends to reach the Oleshky-Nova Kakhovka road. In this situation, this could seriously complicate the supply of the Russian Armed Forces along the left bank of the Dnieper."

The Russian group of troops “Dnepr” is conducting oncoming battles in the vicinity of the village of Krynky, where almost a month ago the assault detachments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine managed to enter and gain a foothold.
Despite the fact that a couple of days ago the Armed Forces of Ukraine managed to expand the zone of control in the forest plantations south of the settlement, Russian fighters squeezed the Ukrainian formations back to the village.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine are trying to attack in the eastern direction and expand the bridgehead, but due to the constant attacks of the Russian Armed Forces on enemy concentration areas, such attempts are frustrated.
Russian troops are not yet able to clear the center of the village, although they are using cannon, rocket artillery and TOS.flamethrower systems.
At the same time, Russian troops thwarted the enemy’s next attempts to land sabotage and reconnaissance groups in the areas of the Antonovsky Bridge and the Small Railway Bridge and did not allow them to advance to Poima and Pischanivka."

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are not giving up attempts to advance in the Zaporozhye direction and show at least some success in the main direction of the counteroffensive.
As before, the enemy’s tactics boil down to destroying Russian positions with fire and squeezing out the Russian Armed Forces from the first line of defense. The logic is simple: if a position is filled with cast iron, it will be impossible to use. And after a barrage of fire, Ukrainian formations throw armored vehicles into suicidal attacks, exposing them to fire from Russian guns.
Over the last week, the intensity of Ukrainian artillery fire has decreased significantly. And Russian troops are already counterattacking. Russian troops, moving from the south, entered the village of Pyatykhatky, located in the gray zone. This became possible after the suppression of firing points of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the surrounding heights. It’s too early to draw conclusions; controlling the village alone, without capturing those tactical heights solves little.
At the same time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine made several attempts to attack with the forces of the 10th Army Corps in the direction of Kopani and the outskirts of Robotyne, but the Russian Armed Forces not only repelled the attacks, but also seized the initiative, advancing half a kilometer in one of the forest belts."

Since the end of October, Russian troops managed to seize the initiative at the Vremivka sector of the front.
Moving little by little from Pryyutne, units of the Eastern Military District of the RF Armed Forces cleared ravines and forest belts, returning what was lost during the summer counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Over the past three days, attempts have been made to expand the zone of control and take strategically important heights west of Staromaiorske. But so far formations of the 5th Combined Arms Army of the Russian Armed Forces are unable to complete this task.
This week’s attack by Russian units and an attempt to expand the bridgehead between Urozhaine and Novodonetske turned into unpleasant losses. Units of the 37th Motor Rifle Brigade of the RF Armed Forces tried to develop an offensive in the very area where a stable front line had formed from the very beginning of the counteroffensive. As a result, the advancing Russian units were scattered by enemy fire, and the battered units of the 37th Brigade were forced to return to their original lines. Just as in the other sectors of the front, rapid breakthroughs did not work out: the advance towards Urozhaine was not crowned with success, and the front froze."

Russian troops continue the operation to envelop the Avdiivka fortified area in pincers.

Northern flank
In the north, Ukrainian formations, under Russian artillery fire, were forced to retreat from the village of Stepove/Petrivske: at the moment, the settlement is in the gray zone, units of the Russian Armed Forces have established a foothold on the eastern outskirts, expanding the zone of control along the railway track.
There is also progress from the waste heap direction: the Russian Army has cleared the treatment facilities southeast of the ash dump of the Avdiivka Coke and Chemical Plant. There is currently no advance from the commanding heights into the city or assault on the plant itself.

Southern flank
Russian troops advancing from Yasynuvata managed to capture up to 40% of the industrial zone in the southeast of Avdiivka and are now repelling attacks by Ukrainian formations on the occupied lines.
In the center, it was decided to inflict maximum fire damage on the 9th "Khimik" microdistrict in order to raze enemy fortified areas, with FABs, to the ground.
On the western flank there has been no advance towards Sjeverne and Tonenke yet, but positional successes in the direction of Pervomaiske have nevertheless been outlined: the zone of control north of the village has been expanded, however, it is premature to talk about its imminent capture."

Near Kupyansk, Russian troops fought their way to the outskirts of Synkivka. The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine plans to withdraw the 32nd Mechanized Brigade to the rear due to critical losses; forces from the 115th Mechanized Brigade are expected to be transferred to take its place.
In the area of the Kupyansk-Masyutivka forest, the enemy is also forced, due to heavy losses, to switch to the practice of creating consolidated groups of troops from different brigades. This is what they did, for example, with the 54th and 30th Mechanized Brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In the area of Timkivka, Russian units are advancing from both sides, trying to encircle a powerful stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In an attempt to slow down the offensive, the enemy is actively using cluster munitions, which, however, does not help him much: the 2nd and 3rd battalions of the 32nd Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have virtually ceased to exist.
In the area of Ivanivka, Russian units took another stronghold on the approaches to the settlement. After artillery preparation, the assault units of the Russian Armed Forces cleared the trenches, taking the surviving members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine prisoner.
Due to the shortage of modern artillery, the enemy uses any available howitzers, including the M114 from World War II, which were supplied to them from the United States."

The situation in the Kherson direction is consistently difficult.
In the Krynky area, the enemy holds a bridgehead in the center of the village after our troops drove him out of nearby forest plantations. The Ukrainian Armed Forces, which are trying to advance from the central part of the village, are being attacked by artillery and mortar fire of the Russian Army. The work of TOS “Solntsepek” was also noted.
In the area of Antonovsky and the small railway bridges, the enemy made another attempt to land troops, but he failed to gain a foothold. Having evacuated the dead and wounded to the nearest island, the enemy temporarily retreated.
At the moment, the enemy has not abandoned his plans to expand the bridgehead on the left bank of the Dnieper. The Ukrainian command is going to continue to carry out offensive operations in the area of the occupied territories, therefore, despite the relative stabilization of the situation, it is too early to relax."

Russian units continue the operation to encircle the Avdiivka group of troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Northern flank
Fighting continues on the northern flank near Stepove/Petrivske. Neither side has troops in the village itself, because there is simply nowhere to gain a foothold there; the Armed Forces of Ukraine retreated to the forest belt west of the village, using armored vehicles and FPV drones for fire cover. In order to preserve personnel, units of the RF Armed Forces are also in no hurry to occupy the ruins under fire.
The enemy has lost several M2A2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles near this village over the past week. There is a transfer of reserves of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who are trying to hold positions along the railway at any cost.
In the area of the Avdiivka Coke and Chemical Plant ash dump, Russian units took control of several enemy strongholds on the approaches to the plant.

Southern flank
On the southern flank of the Avdiivka fortified area, the Russian Armed Forces are expanding the zone of control in the industrial zone near Yasynuvata - at the moment, about half of the territory is under the control of the Russian Army. According to preliminary data, there is also progress in the area of the Vineyard gardening cooperative.

At the same time, it was reported that in the evening the enemy launched a daring attack towards Gorlovka/Horlivka, southwest of the Maiorsk concrete plant. The Armed Forces of Ukraine were able to occupy the positions of the Russian Armed Forces near one of the waste heaps, Russian fighters carried out a counterattack and regained control in the area.
At the moment, the artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is actively working, using cluster munitions, on Gorlovka/Horlivka, where destruction of numerous buildings have been recorded: unfortunately, there are civilian casualties, at least one person was killed and another was wounded."
