THE best shoot out scene in movie history!
And The Doors... He got robbed of an Academy Award on that one (wasn't even nominated), probably because as a whole the movie didn't quite work (because of the screenplay, all other aspects of the film were great except this most important one). Val sang all the vocals himself, and rumor has it he never quite "recovered" from using method acting to portray Morrison. Years later you could still see affectations of Morrison in Val"s voice and body language. Being possessed by the "demon" that was Jim Morrison probably contributed to the obsessive chain smoking and degenerate sexual activity that led to his throat cancer and early demise. RIP.
Nothing comes even close.
Edit: From what I know he'd been struggling with cancer for the last decade or so.

I always felt that he never got enough credit for his performance as Moses in The Prince of Egypt. Rest in Peace.
I first became aware of Kilmer in the movie Top Secret, which appears to be his first. He sings in that movie as well.

He may well have taken the shots, but he has had cancer since before Covid.
He hasn't looked good for a while. Some people just have early expiration dates.
This is a great scene to use when testing an audio system setup.
Kilmer's health-related issue started in 2014 when he noticed something wrong in his throat, which caused him to vomit blood. Speculation back then was tumor in his throat according to doctor(s). He had a lot of health problems since 2014.

Swayze was the other that had pancreatic cancer. Did Kilmer have esophageal cancer?
No idea. It was throat cancer. Kilmer lived a private life so he didn't talk about it much.
