I'm hiring people right now for my company, and every guy I interview from the Philippines sounds gay. Are most Filipino men usually this effeminate?
When I worked as tech support, whenever I had to call over to the Philippines I thought their accent made them all sound retarded. It didn't help that they could barely do their job. I thought it was a bad joke.

Anyone know how to get the tarnish off this watch?

I have this old 50's era breitling that I put a nylon strap on, I wear it as a casual every day watch. I don't like a big clunky fancy watches unless I'm dressed up for it. Been wearing it for years and all of a sudden I don't know if it's tarnishing or the finish is coming off or what, I'm not sure if it's nickel or stainless, doubt it's silver. I don't want to take it to my watch guy because he takes 3 months to do anything, they're all like that around here. I would just go get it dipped at a jewelry store but I can't get the movement out without pulling out the stem and I don't know enough about watches to do that. I tried gently with a toothbrush, soap and water as I read that may work....I have to be careful I'm assuming it's not waterproof, but it didn't do anything.

Anyone have any ideas, something I can try before I just go to a jewelry store and see what they say....I've had zero time during the day lately.

Thanks fellas

No idea, but nice watch

No idea, but nice watch

Thanks brother I like it, it's very understated it makes a nice every day watch especially with the nylon band, I'm not a fan of flash. Which is all the more reason why I don't want it looking like it's gold because of tarnishing!

Anyone else ever notice you can't find hardly any good books at used bookstores when they're operated by women? Same goes for libraries, when it's mostly women. The city I used to live in had a few used bookstores, 3 of them, run by men and I was always able to find more than enough material, but the 3 closest used bookstores to me now, all ran by women, I struggle to find interesting books.

This hits me in a funny way. I've only read books on my phone or laptop for 10-15 years, so it seems old-timey to think of books printed on paper like back in the olden days.

Part of it is due to vision not being as good as it was. Reading on a screen is easier. I have 100s of paper books but if I want to re-read one, I'll buy the electronic version.
