The Off-Topic and Random Thoughts Thread(Anything Goes!)

So Zuckerberg just became the world's 3rd richest person. What does this even mean? Apparently he's worth 73 billion dollars. All from an adolescent, Satan-derived jew "idea" about incel hate towards hot white women on college campus's. Talk about a jew putting pussy up on a pedestal? The preoccupation with female hotness and sex gave "birth" to this jew clown that lives on Kawaii on a compound of beauty and safety only worthy of Our Lord Jesus Christ, yet this jew over-steps his talmudic bounds by living in a privatized-paradise while allocating us gentiles to a life of un-private hell.

KGB, Mi6, CIA, and/or Iran... if you're listening?
All that money. Didn't he marry an asian 3?

Hoping to avoid TMI so I will keep this short. Ever since I stopped eating fiber, and it's been about 2 weeks at least, I have used hardly any toilet paper. Almost every movement (daily, no constipation) requires only one small toilet paper bit. This was unexpected when I made the change to mostly meat and as little fiber as possible. That is all.
That's funny. I've observed the same thing in the past when I took Metamucil regularly. In my case it was high fiber that produced this result.

I used to check to go on my phone while I had my coffee, kind of like the ole coffee with a newspaper, but it seemed to spike my dopamine or whatever, meaning I'd get worn out early and my brain would be in a hedonistic, pleasure-seeking mode. Once I stopped going on my phone, have coffee, be in the moment, I noticed I had a lot better mental energy throughout the day.

Do you guys check your phone as soon as you wake up? I do but I've been looking into stopping that. What are you guys thoughts on it?

I generally avoid carrying my phone. I keep it close, but don't take it everywhere I go. When I'm home and go to another room/kitchen/bathroom, I don't take it with me. Same when I go somewhere nearby: visiting the neighbors, or on a dog walk - phone stays at home. I keep it locked in the car when I'm going to the store/bank/diner/etc.
At night I put it on the floor, next to the bed, and when the alarm goes off in the morning, I switch it off without looking, leave the phone on the floor and go on with my day - I'l pick it up before leaving.

I try to honour God first thing in the morning by reading His word before checking my phone. Might sound a bit odd but I get the feeling God would be offended if I focused my mind on worldly nonsense before spending time with Him.

I don't think it's a problem unless you make it a problem. But I think there are better ways to start your day, like in Gazza's case. I have a radio that I listen to throughout the night and it has an alarm that goes off in the morning. So the first thing I do is get up and shut it off. Sometimes when I wake up, I pray and thank God for another day of life, and ask for help for whatever the day has in store. Other times I do not pray and take it for granted.

I'm convinced that the DMV is a prelude to hell.

What I've never understood is why this place is always filled with the dregs of society. I was there recently and 99% of the people waiting in line are the bottom crust of society. Where does the rest of the populace go to renew their driver's license? Because I never seem them there.

There's a cat in my neighborhood that hangs outside a lot. I've stopped to pet it a couple times and now when I see it we walk together for a couple blocks. If it's dark outside I'll make a noise when I go by its area and it will run out to the sidewalk.

It zigzags in front of me. Not sure why cats do that. Maybe it's a girl and expects me to read her mind.

I've noticed that young people these days exchange Instagram page or What's App numbers instead of their phone number. Why is this?

Instagram is also a a de facto dating app now. It's a way for people to "display higher value" (as the old school PUAs would say) via posting pictures and stories of you being involved in cool activities (the zoomer/millennial version of showing off your Rolls Royce) or flexing whatever accomplishments to any potential interests you might want to approach (ie send a DM to).

Messaging apps such as WhatsApp and FB Messenger are now overwhelmingly preferred to SMS and phone calls by younger people all over the world.

A rough overview of global usage:

The key features, beyond SMS and calling, include the ability to:
  • Send videos
  • Send embedded GIFs and stickers
  • Send multiple photos
  • Record a voice message
  • Attach files
  • Have an audio or video call
  • And do all of the above in groups
Using these tools makes connecting with others, especially young women, much more effective than simply getting their phone number to text or call them.

As for Instagram...

Yes, I’ve always found this kinda strange as well (lower social status people are a majority in a DMV, even in a more affluent area). Also same to some degree could be said for gas stations/convenience stores. Even before electric cars, seems that 60-80%+ of people who I see filling up a gas tank are blue collar guys coming and going from a construction or other blue collar trade. Seems universal no matter where I go with exception perhaps being an Interstate gas station/store heading to/from a major tourist destination. Then it seems to be more well balanced representation of society.

Viber in Greece, Bulgaria, Serbia and ... Belarus? Odd. How'd they get penetration there? I don't really know much about that app.

Not sure where else to put this but I'll be logging off for awhile very soon. maybe a year?

Quite a few things have conflated to make me realize I'm not dealing well with information/internet in general.

I need to find more like minded Christians in real life (really I need to find people who are Orthodox in real life). I have some contacts and feel all my time listening/watching/interacting online is stripping my energy away from connecting to people in the flesh. So, I'm in the process of disconnecting from things. I haven't been good at moderating myself.

Anyways, I'll miss you guys for however long this turns out to be. Thanks for all the information you provide!

All the best. Christ be with you all!
