Too many White people on the plane to be 2024.
Alright, I know this thread makes this look like insanity, but.... I have to fly soon. Anyone know any tips and tricks to find the best way to find a fair airfare?
Should I just go to cheaptix or justfly and choose the cheapest one?
Should I wait until some time of day to order tickets?
Should I bother downloading some app from Expedia or whoever, or are tickets the same price from the website?
Hopefully this isn't a dumb or bothersome post.(Mods take it down if it is.) I usually just drive everywhere. Also, it might be helpful to have some information compiled in a post or two to help those of us who have to fly for whatever reason.

Just use Google Flights to find tickets, then follow their link to the airlines website and book.
For domestic, usually cheapest to book 6-8 weeks out. For long distance international flights, it's like 8-12 weeks out. Unless you're flying over a high demand period like late December, then the earlier the better.
I just use Expedia or Booking and compare the costs.
A lot has changed since my early frequent international travel days. Back then, I used Cheapair.com and Farecompare.com sites to search for affordable tickets, but I noticed the sites are not the same because they seems to have been taken over by dishonest outside groups (i.e, foreigners such as Indians, Chinese, etc.).
Do a price comparison between the two.
Theory is Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are the days to check for good deals. (I always check on Tuesdays.) Another theory is that the airlines' ticketing systems go through some kind of updates to clean up the ticketing systems on a Monday (I.e., travelers who cancelled or changed their tickets -- ticketing system needs to be refreshed/updated).
I am old school. I always print the tickets to have a hard copy (paper). I don't trust airlines/airports mobile phone app bombarding me with ads, deals, download more apps, etc.
I resumed my international travel two years ago so I will need to do some more research on what the most popular travel websites to buy tickets.
Farecompare.com and Cheapoair.com were so good -- I.e., when selecting a travel date range, it displayed an average ticket cost. Fantastic tool back then. Now majority of sites suck so bad -- it is like the tools are written by H1B Indian workers.

There's a community note claiming there was no pooping, but somebody posted a picture in the comments showing where poop was smeared on the carpet, and calling of the falseness of the community note. The community note claims the 12 toilets were all clogged with rags.
The whole situation seems hard to believe. I mean, I believe the plane had to return to Chicago because all the toilets were inoperable, and I believe that the problem had to do with it being a planeload of Indians, but it's still amazing that they could actually overload all the toilets on the plane so early in the flight.
Indians normally poop a toilet full then move on to the next toilet until there are no more toilets left, then go pooping on the streets or in parks.
On a plane it's a little more cramped so the logical step is to poop the toilets full then go for the isles then the footwells then the staff area and kitchen. Finally it becomes unsafe as the pilots won't let them poop in the cockpit so you start having riots so they need to do a proper clean and replace the toilets to repeat the process again.
I suspect that the Indian airline in question cleaned the isles footwells and staff area/kitchen but forgot to replace the toilets so the pilots had to turn back out of fear of poop slinging riots and or a breach of the cockpit which might've resulted in a much more dangerous situation.

ATC recording has female pilot repeatedly refer to her flight as "ten thousand and six" while ATC repeats back correctly "1006". Also confirms the wrong weather info, and when corrected by ATC she says "I can't read my own writing".
That may not have anything to do with the cause of the fire, but it sure doesn't instill much confidence.
