This post is gold. So many people want to sugarcoat marriage as fine.
Even on this forum people deep down believe “marital rape” should be illegal (Which comes from feminism). It’s quite disgusting how so called Christians can accept taxes or sodomites but when hearing about husbands forcing themselves upon their wives will be fine with the Jewish government stepping in.
One thing I've noticed is a lot of these evangelical churches have some horrible people. These tradcon women are either phonies or insufferable and have delusional standards. I've seen some of these women turn down Godly men that are 6'3+, own their own homes and have the money to get a tradwife. Basically everything these "trad" women are saying they want. Sometimes these women will even try to embarrass a guy for asking them out or make up stories about them. And the out of touch older men/pastors at these churches enable all of this nonsense.
You can certainly find nice women at church too, but it's not nearly as simple as these cuckservative older guys are making it seem. In my experience the odds are pretty similar to the secular world. Some of the nicest, most humble women I've met are actually secular. I'd rather ask them out than some psycho wannabe "tradwife" that grew up in the church. The right woman will want to follow your lead anyway and would end up going to church with you. They don't need to have grown up going to church.
The modern world really is a clown show. Not just with dating, but also work, the housing market, our culture in general, etc.

I think you left out forum members who have this “shut up and stop complaining” mindset. The entire “no doom posting” rule is an excuse they use in order to avoid addressing modern grievances, and it’s compounded with the little “thumbs up” to each others.
Edit: I should add being 100% negative is bad but it’s understandable in this declining world. I suppose a healthy balance is difficult.

Yeah definitely. I'm not giving up or anything, but I've learned over the last few years that it's better to avoid at least 90% of people, men included. And that churches are just as insane as the secular world.
I'm also getting smarter at which women to talk to, but the only way to learn is trial and error.
God gives us opportunities for spiritual growth through the people with whom we interact and we are saved corporately, not individually.
I tend to agree. I will watch young women at church with the wonder if they would make a good future wife for my son. Many actions in their teens will be amplified in their 20s when they feel the whole world at their feet. Perhaps marriage was meant to stop this craziness, but culture has made them the normal rather than the exception.
Also finding a good woman who is not a Christian is just an opportunity to lead her. My wife wasn't a Christian when we met but is now on the path and is much happier for it. I would guess that it would be easier to lead a good woman to Christ than it would be for you to try and lead a Christian woman back who has wandered astray.

Yeah this is my experience as well.
An added bonus to secular women is if you are leading them to faith, there's a much smaller chance for them to try and use religion as a club to bludgeon you with to get their way.
Like you said, many evangelical women (especially cradle/grew up in it) are completely insufferable. I've met some who think church/ministry involvement adds AT LEAST 5 points to any scoring system and their disposition is this weird mix between fake sweet/uber professional/standoffish.
Yeah they really are insufferable. I've met them in church groups and been to some of their family gatherings. This idea of the perfect Christian tradwife sounds great until you actually see what they're like in person. They think their shit doesn't stink and have no humility or grace. And it becomes worse as they get older and stay unmarried. Stay away from any wannabe tradwife over 25. She should be married by now and there's a reason why she isn't.
I really don't think there's much difference between the secular world and church. A woman going to church doesn't mean much until you actually get to know them. They could be sleeping around, or they could have one of the worst personalities you've ever met.
There are still humble women not sleeping around in the secular world. We should all give any decent secular woman a chance before automatically simping for insufferable Christian women.

My cousins wifes sister is trying to set me up with her husbands friends sister....haha sorry I had to explain the line there because I find it funny. She said we should all get together once the girl is back from a mission trip with the church, she's Chaldean Catholic like I am of course.
I don't know why but I kinda saw that as a red flag....

She immigrated to Canada from Japan when she was 20. We are mid 40s now.
Perhaps the real difference is that there is no 'anti Christian' narrative being pushed in Japan, where as here in the west the 'anti Christian' narrative IS the norm. So there was no issue with breaking any conditioning.
