I think the popular use of ouija is a feature of modernity, but I don't know if there's a male equivalent to women's casual use of this and also Wicca, tarot, and astrology.

Closest I can think of the uprise of men being into Norse paganism with guys. I'm sure most of these guys don't think they are actual vikings in the same way these girls don't think they are witches and if you ask these people directly if they actually believe in spells or Thor I think they would give you a mushy answer but it's still clear there's something that is drawing them to be fascinated by these things.

That's certainly a real point. However, a woman with multiple partners is also likely to be an alpha widow. She probably had a real hard-nosed Chad for a little while, who charmed her, used her, then moved on. A man who is willing to marry her and remain faithful will seem too nice and beta in comparison. Part of her wants a reliable husband, and part of her sees him as weak and unattractive in comparison to the bad boy she had for a little while when she was younger.

When I was a kid in the 1970's ouija was fairly popular. You could even find it in some toy stores and, not being Christian, I thought it was strange that it was taboo. I mean hey, it's just a game.

Fast forward a dozen years and some Dungeons & Dragons playing friends of mine who were around 20-22 y.o. got sucked into ouija by a satanist they unwittingly let into their social circle and it only took a few months for that creep to ramp things up with some spooky "spiritual experiences". Within another couple of months he had persuaded one of them, a young woman, to commit pre-meditated murder. She got an 8 year sentence and served 2.

Gave me a new perspective on the Salem witch trials.

This occult crap is all over society in many forms. It sucks in the young because they have no idea what they are dealing with. How it’s readily available is mind boggling to me which is a result of our nation losing its Christian roots and identity.

The theory's been that men have the strength to destroy their enemies, settle their scores, and get what they want. Women have used magic and herbalism.

I sometimes swing by any one of the local thrift stores to check for vintage American household items, a few days ago I saw an ouija board in a wooden case, looked really old I wanted to open it and look inside to see what it is, but it seemed too grimy to handle.

Would be a little risky just to handle if the location is somewhere with occult practices, which is likely outside of business hours, so you never know.

A devil worshipper trick is to try and get cursed objects into Christian homes so that someone in the family will be affected and eventually look for help outside the church, then go to a [usually female] astrologer, tarot dealer, or fortune teller.

One thing I love about the Orthodox Church is that most women wear no makeup or very little makeup and most of them look beautiful and have that Godly glow.

I never wore much makeup, but when I came into the church I eventually stopped wearing anything. Now I sometimes wear a little mascara or lipstick for fun and that's about it.
