The Climate Change Delusion Thread

As much as I hate climate protestors the reaction from the rangers was way over top. The American policing system is so uncivilized. And remember what they do to your enemies they can do to you (or your allies) too eventually as we saw with the response to the anti-covid truckers protesting in Canada.

While I generally agree about the overaggressive nature of American cops. not in this case. A roadblock is not a peaceful protest.
What if there was an emergency and an ambulance got stuck in the roadblock? What if these "protestors" were actually rioters and attacked people stuck in their cars (happened during BLM riots)? What if it was a carjacking or a highway robbery attempt? How can an average Joe know what will happen to him once he's stopped by the mob?

Good people have to let criminals do what they want without the police stopping them, because what if the government started arresting good people?

No, this logic doesn't work. Road blocking protestors should be instantly handcuffed, walked or dragged out of the street, place (or thrown) in a paddy wagon, and then be tried and convicted with real penalties and a criminal record.
