The Climate Change Delusion Thread

As much as I hate climate protestors the reaction from the rangers was way over top. The American policing system is so uncivilized. And remember what they do to your enemies they can do to you (or your allies) too eventually as we saw with the response to the anti-covid truckers protesting in Canada.

While I generally agree about the overaggressive nature of American cops. not in this case. A roadblock is not a peaceful protest.
What if there was an emergency and an ambulance got stuck in the roadblock? What if these "protestors" were actually rioters and attacked people stuck in their cars (happened during BLM riots)? What if it was a carjacking or a highway robbery attempt? How can an average Joe know what will happen to him once he's stopped by the mob?

Good people have to let criminals do what they want without the police stopping them, because what if the government started arresting good people?

No, this logic doesn't work. Road blocking protestors should be instantly handcuffed, walked or dragged out of the street, place (or thrown) in a paddy wagon, and then be tried and convicted with real penalties and a criminal record.

Throw them all in jail and then throw them in jail next.

How much CO2 was released from this never ending fire? Not to mention, the poisoning of our ocean?

In response to this, and other, incidents with EVs catching fire on cargo vessels, Matson - an American shipping company active in the Pacific (Hawaii, Alaska, Guam, Pacific Islands, etc.) suspends shipping of EVs and hybrids.
Matson, Inc. (NYSE: MATX), a leading U.S. carrier in the Pacific, has announced the immediate suspension of transporting electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles aboard its vessels, citing growing safety concerns related to lithium-ion batteries.
“Due to increasing concern for the safety of transporting vehicles powered by large lithium-ion batteries, Matson is suspending acceptance of used or new electric vehicles (EVs) and plug-in hybrid vehicles for transport aboard its vessels,” the company stated in a customer advisory. The decision follows several high-profile maritime incidents involving lithium battery fires, including the recent sinking of the Morning Midas in the North Pacific this June.

What Climate Crisis? Weather Channel Reports "Record-Breaking Cold" For August

t must be extraordinarily difficult for leftist corporate media outlets and woke government weather forecasters to admit "record-breaking cold temperatures" or "unseasonably cool air" across parts of the Lower 48 - in August of all months.

August is the prime season when far-left climate NGOs and their political allies, amplified by their MSM propaganda megaphone, usually try to convince everyone of an alleged climate crisis....

But the narrative of imminent doom for planet Earth unless cow farts, gas stoves, 2-stroke weedwhackers, petrol-powered vehicles (MSM always forgets to talk about Bill Gates, Al Gore, and Democrats flying around in private jets) are banned.

Yet here we are ... and years later, no climate disaster.

In fact, The Weather Channel stated on Monday morning: "Record-breaking cold temperatures for the month of August provide many their first taste of fall."

Brr!

Here's more from The Weather Channel:

A strong cold front is bringing heat and humidity relief to millions from the Canadian border all the way to the Deep South. Summer will be put on hold as temperatures will end up 10, to 20 and as much as 25 degrees below average. Dozens of record lows will be in jeopardy from Tuesday through Thursday. Places like Indianapolis could see lows in the 40s, while Kansas City, Memphis and Birmingham drop into the 50s. Some locations, like Wichita and Tulsa, could even see cool record highs! This is unusual in August, so enjoy it this week!
Even government forecasters have been forced to admit it's beginning to feel like fall in August:

Across the Lower 48, average temperatures are expected to print below the 30-year average through early August.

In energy markets, U.S. NatGas futures are tumbling....

... at a time when prices should be rising according to 15-year seasonal trends.

NatGas prices are falling because lower cooling demand means less power burn on grids.

^It seems like the global warming hysteria in the West has subsided since covid, with other real crises emerging like the wars in Ukraine, Gaza and Iran, inflation and accelerated decline in purchasing power, mass immigration reaching a tipping point and the rise of China.

All by design.
