You speak as if RoCath countries are very different, but Spain is a million times worse than America in all of these matters, and Italy is not much better. This is true in protestant countries.
Fuentes has never, ever told people not to get married. Quite the contrary, he regularly encourages people to get married and procreate. He is a bad example to young people on this marriage issue. He is giving wrong advice. No priest on the catholic church will ever tell young people not to get married or not have children. In this matter he is a really bad example of a catholic.
While it may not seem like it because I keep defending him here, I don't particularly like Fuentes, but this is just slander.
What Fuentes has said is that marriage kind of sucks, and he is right. You say your marriage does not suck, and I'm glad to hear that, but the overwhelming majority of married men have it rough, even if they are good and masculine men.
The overwhelming majority of divorces are initiated by women. As for the rest, when men initiate a divorce, it's almost always because the woman is a combative harpy and/or committed adultery, and he simply HAS to get her out of his life even if it costs him a large chunk of his net worth, which it likely will.My belief divorce is always a man fault. Either by action or omission.
Blaming men is easy, but I think women are humans with moral agency who should honor their oaths, actually.
