He is a fed. That's the only explanation
People need to stop simplifying such a pavlovian term. Be more specific. He definitely did not go to quantico or fletc. He has no physical build or musculature and even scoffs at people who tell him to workout. The way the paid assets who are non-1811 badged investigators work (because he has no arresting power) are in one of several categories. Here is a breakdown of what he may be, which one do you think it is?
1 - Confidential Human Sources / Confidential Informants - provide info and intel to law enforcement agencies and often have direct access to criminal organizations, usually recidivist types cooperating in exchange for leniency and immunity (think Enrique Tarrio of Proud Boys)
2 - Cooperating Witnesses - someone directly involved in criminal activity who agrees to work with the government after being caught, usually more formal on record with prosecutors and often enter into plea agreements.
3 - Confidential Contacts - individuals who provide info but have no formal relationship with an agency, they give tips and insights without regularity or expectation of payment. These are often academics, business leaders, and activists.
4 - Assets with Ideological and Social Influence (Social Media) - people with a strong online or community presence who can influence public opinion, shape narratives, or gather info indirectly (influencers content creators, community organizers). They align with the system mostly out of ideology, social status, or shady payments.
5 - Subject Matter Experts & Consultants - professionals with specific expertise like psychology, cybersecurity, and "counterterrorism" may or may not be directly on the payroll but are retained for expertise. I think it is safe to assume Nick is not one of these.
6 - Paid Confidential Sources - on the payroll and receive regular compensation for info, not the same as informants because the relationship is more formalized and they often have ongoing assignments, also often used in longer-term operations where maintaining steady flow of reliable information is crucial. This could be someone like a shop owner in an area where certain radicals or reactionaries conduct activity who is paid to monitor and report on them.
7 - Non-Traditional Collectors - people who are not classic spies or informants but still provide valuable info, academics, journalists, tourists, low-risk OSINT stuff.
8 - Agents of Influence - individuals who may not provide direct info but help sway public opinion or influence policy in a way favorable to the government's interests (talk show hosts, think tank personalities) Everyone's favorite psyop jew Cass Sunstein could be considered this.
9 - Provocateurs / Facilitators - individuals who are part of the dialectic who help create or escalate situations making it easier for agencies to justify action or gather info on a specific group. Often used in ideological warfare between proxy factions of "extremists," to disrupt planned activities by provoking premature actions (Oathkeepers, J6 type stuff)
I think, if he is some type of asset, he would be between 4 and 9. He can't really make people go out and do physical actions, but he does have a lot of clout with younger men online. I also think maybe he isn't given that his money was seized by the authorities awhile back, but even that made me skeptical of how that went down, or what the point of that was. People here are really ignorant of federal laws and should read the statutes and thresholds themselves to see what actually warrants an investigation. There is little money in Nick's activities now, and with Trump in charge his popularity will wane unless Trump starts fumbling every move.
