Latest UK Lunacy

Today, my country sank even further into the abyss. Starting this week, my local hospital, among others, will be offering bilingual labels for medication, with 15 other languages offered alongside English. Yes, UK hospitals will be offering labels in Somali, Arabic, and various other vibrant, dynamic tongues. Curiously, French is included, but my guess is that this is for the benefit of those coming from former French colonies, as opposed to France itself.

I think that use of the Hellraiser response is justified here:

A university lecturer from UCL claims that the UK was not instrumental in abolishing the slave trade:

I wonder what these guys spent their time doing:

The Royal Navy lost one man for every nine slaves that were freed - a total of 17,000 officers and men, between 1808 and 1860.

Wrongthink has plumbed new depths, as a group of retired police officers face court proceedings:

It's worse than that. It was intended to be humorous. The state is prosecuting people for sharing an un-PC joke amongst friends.

The Judge's remarks:

“He posted the whole thing. He thought it was funny but it was grossly offensive and he was aware of that at the time. That is why I find the defendant guilty of this offence.”

A walk into town yesterday, to run an errand. I took a slightly different route to normal, which took me past a large shop unit, that has had several incarnations over the years. It is now what I'd describe as an immigration advice centre, with large posters in the windows proclaiming that they offer advice, in several languages, on benefits, welfare, housing and the like.

Most likely that will be its final and permanent incarnation.

Looked at the football section of the BBC Sport website, to check on the Europa League scores. To my utter amazement, they are in second place on the days scores, behind those of the women's Champions League. Participants in tonight's Europa League ties include Liverpool, West Ham, Ajax, Marseille, Glasgow Rangers, Sporting Lisbon, Roma and Bayer Leverkusen, all of whom, I'm sure, pull in gates massively in excess of the womens' teams that are getting top billing.

Women's sport is completely subsidised by men's football. It requires constant nagging for people to notice it.

Release the trannies.

During the past months I was at various public swimming pools and saunas both in the UK and on the continent. Actually, just one in the UK.

Actually I am not much into swimming, but do like the saunas in Winter, but it was a famous one in the UK and someone else wanted me to swim the other time, that's why I did it.

Anyway, something happened in the UK one I had never experienced in my entire life. Just after paying to check in and get a wrist-band I was given a neoprene sleeve and told "we have a no phones policy" So I took it and proceeded to walk through the turnstile. The lady behind the counter went ballistic at me as if I'd run through airport security shouting 'bomb!' and said "put the phone in the sleeve now in front of me right now before you go through". It must be common knowledge among the British that swimming pool now means phone sleeve. From what I could tell it was for female swimmers as well, so not singling people out or anything. The sleeve is locked until you exit again.

Actually the pools on the continent also have a no-phones policy but not to the extent of sleeves.

Oh dear what an age we live in.. It sort of fits with other aspects of the narrative you see there, but why is it that the UK needs an extra strong measure and other places do not ?

Well thank God for Joey Barton because he seems to be the only person pushing back at the woke take over of football:

Along with female pundits Alex Scott in particular is an awful presenter. Dresses like a trashy porn star, can barely speak English & has a 20 word vocabulary. Typical diversity feminist hr/male simp hire.

Now contrast the rubbish we have to put up today with this:

Less than 20 years ago - how times change.

I wonder if diversity-hire pundits hits advertising. I switch the sound off and I don't watch the half-time analysis.

The day I can small-talk with a female stranger about the football like I can with most men will be the day when these women are representational of the supporter base and not diversity tick-boxes.
