What doesn't JP get about the crisis era where you get guys checking out and trying to get people to recognize just how bad the society is?

This is just a re-hash of all the married dopes who are at best neutral but likely copium invested in the future (with kids, because of them, essentially), as they are weak and can't bear a future where there run has ended. Yes, the run that included tons of material wealth, homes, and investments the younger 50% of people can't even sniff.

I'm in an interesting position considering all of this because I also have much to gain by the status quo continuing, as I'll just have options to do whatever I want, including helping others. JP is in no such category. I've rooted in the past for the collapse. Now I see it does few any good, but my selfish angle is that it might stop me from just leaving, or being able to travel to a sane place, which I should be able to do and other's should also support that.
