Whats wrong with using AI though its just a tool? The other day I was looking for a particular map of something and there was no such map around so I generated my own map with AI of what I wanted to see and within 2 minutes I had it.

That's what is so interesting over time, you see that people associated and interested in "religion" often have, let's just call it, strange sides to them.
I'm sorry but it's hilarious to read how Shamoun is now a heretic and neurotic when he is still saying the same things he was saying before he and Lyer had a falling out. His theology hasn't changed, he's still a Sacerdotalist. His behavior hasn't changed either. The only thing that's changed is his friendship status with the Lyer cult.

Pretty much everybody but the Dyer fanboys calls Gay Lyer out for being a mean spirited cult leader, as well as blatant grifter. I've never met any Orthodox Christian offline who admitted to liking the guy either.

A small data point for your friendly consideration: I met Dyer offline at a conference and the after party and I liked him. He was very sociable and fun to talk to. Just sayin'.

One, Gay Lyer is a hilarious riff on his name. Two, his entire shtick is making fun of everybody else so I don't see harm in returning the favor.
I would've payed Jay some respect if he would've put his money where his mouth is and took White up on his debate offer. The way he handled it confirmed what I suspected, that its all a clown act and not to be taken seriously, sorry to those who do.
His latest tiff with Shamoun is not anomalous either. He did it before when he was buddies with Brother Augustine, then proceeded to character assassinate him with the Wilsons after BA had the audacity to question Dyer's theology. He's a pulpit pimp who doesn't even have a pulpit.
The way he rallies his single-minded fanbase against his enemies is textbook cult of personality behavior and his discord is full of sycophants who get booted off the second they stop massaging his ego.

Shamoun's got real issues, let's be honest. I don't think Ruslan is disingenuous, and he's seen this too, but they are all online guys, and I have commented on the problems with that before.
I vaguely recall this and I always like BA, but I think BA is also wiser and doesn't "need" to be online as his "job." All these other guys do. That's my point, that reality becomes dangerous due to attention, click bait, the fact that media "wars" actually pay, etc.
Sure, but this isn't new either. Sam's issues weren't considered "issues" until after he and Lyer broke ties. I'm merely pointing out Lyer's two-faced character in how he treats his "friends." It should serve as a good warning for anyone who would want to buddy up with him.
This is the life of the grifter and sensationalist. At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter if you're telling the truth or how you treat people. If your platform depends on clicks, then you will do whatever it takes to get those clicks. I agree.
I don't know if I'd go that far, but you know it's my general thesis that the internet is built to be problematic in this capacity.
What I don't like is someone like Sam claiming that he can predict that Jay will get divorced by his wife even though "he's not wishing it on him." That's just mental illness, or worse, right there. Prelest possibly, and I really hope not.
