Iran-Israeli Conflict Thread

Israel attacked a nuclear site in Arak.

The IDF intends to target Iran's Arak heavy water reactor, after issuing a warning for residents of the nearby cities of Arak and Khondab in central Iran to evacuate for their safety. IDF Persian-language spokesman Master Sgt. (res.) Kamal Penhasi says remaining in the area marked in red, which covers the nuclear site, poses a danger.

The IDF releases footage showing its strike this morning on Iran's Arak heavy water reactor. The reactor was only partially built, and Iran had informed the IAEA that it planned to begin operating the facility next year. The military says “the strike targeted the component intended for plutonium production, in order to prevent the reactor from being restored and used for nuclear weapons development.”

We could use an Iran war forum lounge...

Are they expecting a ground attack from Hezbollah? I don't see any way that Iran could put troops on the ground anywhere in Israel. Up to now I've thought this war must be exclusively airplanes and missile, but this makes it sound as if they expect a ground attack.

No, he's just saying that Iranian missiles have been getting through Haifa, which has a lot of Israeli military and civilian infrastructure and is therefore a prime Iranian missile target.

Older Iranian missiles also getting through Tel Aviv:

Intel center in southern Israel also hit:
