Internet Turned to a Pile of Garbage (rant).

Bots and AI are also a huge problem, you think you talking to another human being on the other side but It might just be an AI Bot so whats the point of that?

Ironically, if it wasn't for the internet, I'd have no idea what Orthodoxy is.
Speaking of the internet and faith, it led me to God through YouTube videos.

So, this is to do with where I got my profile picture from...

It's a painting of Giordano Bruno, who died in 1600, because he believed that there were other worlds orbiting distant Stars like our Earth did the Sun.

He's like if Galileo wasn't an arrogant prick who failed to give scientific reasons for his position and betrayed his friend the Pope.

Tangent aside, even as an Atheist, I fell in love with this man's faith.

When the Catholic Church told him that if he did not recant his position, they would execute him, he refused and burned him as an unrepentant heretic.

He was martyred in the name of freedom of thought, 395 years later the first exo-planet found orbiting a sun like star.

1995.

51 Pegasi b.

So he became my hero. Maybe that's why I live in this world where people kill those who speak the truth. I wanted to do as Giordano Bruno did and refused to surrender even as they execute me.

That's uh, kinda Christ like huh...

I was an atheist that loved a man who died as Christ did...

God surely works in mysterious ways.

.|.

Speaking of World Changing events, dies anyone else find it strange that the number of humans that have existed so far correlate to the advancement if technology? Population growth and technological growth were both at their fastest during the Dawn of the 20st century?

So, does that mean God is actually playing Civ 5?

When the World Wide Web was introduced in the early 90s I beleive it's intended use was for corporations & agencies to send more in depth information to their customer/client/viewer base (please do correct me If I am wrong here)

However it did not really take off massively until independent websites, chatrooms & forums emerged with alternative viewpoints & outlooks on life.

I honestly beleive that by the time the early 00s came around this put the globalhomo elite into panic mode especally since guys like Bill Cooper were getting a huge following & most if not all the truther info on the 9/11 came from the Web/Internet.

Hence they poured money into their assets Google & then Zuckerberg to create Facebook & essentialy steer the Internet into A) Information control/censorship, B) get the normies on the internet & C) Dumb it down - look at most Youtube videos today just bs drama from effeminiate men instead of useful information like the old youtube. You can add Thots, so called Red Pillers, influencers, porn browsers, youtube celebs to the dumb it down section.

In other words. Instead of just pulling the plug on the internet as a whole global homo went with a 'drown it out with sewer water' type of approach.

Luke Smith has a very interesting video about Giordano Bruno. I couldn't find it on his YouTube channel though, only on his self-hosted video archive:

Luke is one of the most insufferable and contradictory ecelebs out there, and it became even worse when he started parroting Jordan Peterson with 4chan humor. He is someone you should avoid becoming at all costs. He is also a registered Democrat.

The problem is that the internet has turned into a self gratification platform. Everyone thinks their life is so important as to be broadcast to everyone. That their opinions are worth hearing. That people want to see their latte... Its just full on inane garbage.

I remember back in the day I'd mostly use the internet for forums about whatever random stuff I was into (mostly bands) there was a bit of ego going on back then, but it was more like a persona (look at me trying to be Hunter S Thompson kinda thing). Much more benign.

Nowadays everyone wants you to hear their worthless ill-thought-out opinions on everything. Often totally uncalled for and unwarranted. Its particularly egregious when it comes to women, who not only want to share their pumpkin spice latte but also their butt holes, or at minimum their bikini beach photos. 99% of the internet is ego driven trash that no one besides the person who put it there cares about. Men are reduced to degenerate porn addicted simps and women attention whores who feed off the simps. The internet has become a cesspool.

Maybe this is all just my experience working in a corporate job in a big city with a bunch of people around my age (early 20's). But the worst part of this whole internet being ruined thing is that most people spend so much time existing in this hyper-censored, intelectually bankrupt, pride-inducing nightmarespace that is the modern internet, that it heavily influences them, and they bring the nightmarespace into the real world.

It is hard to find anything worth reading or watching on Google or YouTube, and perhaps partly as a result of that, even real people just have nothing to say. Or, no, that's not quite right. Some of them have horrible things to say. Maybe they'll be very opinionated and outspoken commies or be really into abortion or into Japanese cartoon porn (tragically, some people around my age these days will try to strike up a conversation about that, if they feel that you're their friend, and it's far, far more common than one would hope), but you will very rarely hear from anyone anything actually worth hearing.

Everything you hear IRL now is exclusively things you'd expect to see on social media. How sensational it all is, how sterile it all is. Even the way people talk. They adopt jokes, words, even accents and mannerisms, from the internet. Sometimes someone tells a joke and you remember that you saw that same joke in a meme 3 days ago. It's just terrible.

Maybe someone has a skill you don't, or connections you don't, but that's all. Most people have otherwise become a complete waste of time to interact with. Intelligent and interesting people exist but they seem to be becoming rarer and rarer, and many seem to mostly keep to themselves and be quiet.

What do I even talk about with a normie? Never politics or philosophy or religion or anything meaningful like that, for all kinds of reasons, unless maybe I pretend to be a leftist or a mainstream conservative, but that's horrible. So, what topics remain?

Heckin' fun facts? Do I become the local fun facts guy? I have a lot of surface-level information about all kinds of topics stored in my head. I can do that. I've done that. People politely pretend to be impressed. Or maybe they truly are amazed that I can very vaguely recall something I read in Wikipedia 2 years ago. I don't know which option would make me sadder.

Goyslop? Find out which category of goyslop we have in common? "Heh, been playing Elden Ring lately, have you played it? Oh, you've never even heard about it? Oh. Okay."

Is that who I must be in the eyes of those I interact with? The fun facts guy who plays videogames just like everyone else and is okay with computers? I can't think of anything else. I'm a sperg, I'm not mentally equipped to deal with a mess of this magnitude. May God help me.

I'm tired.

I just started reading Cicero's first book on argumentation, written when he was 21 (very smart boi at 21, he was), and I highlighted a part where he was describing whether or not good oration was beneficial to a nation and he mentioned how wisdom without eloquence was unhelpful (these are the posts, videos, websites that are good but lack any way to draw audiences) and eloquence without wisdom was mischievous (these would be the influencers, upvoted trash, algorithm-gamed garbage, tech giants). I think we are seeing the correctness of his single sentence that he would never in his wildest dreams think would be applicable to the 21st century. The internet has supercharged the ability of the eloquent, many of whom lack wisdom and we all suffer for it. The solutions seems to be this forum or Vox Day's socialgalactic, which is a paid platform. Free spaces are doomed to be dominated by the most eloquent junk or spam, whereas small walled-garden communities become the last refuges of wisdom.

Noticing that average normies online seem to be more hateful and negative recently. Things like "hate mobs" where large groups of people will obsess and borderline stalk certain public figures and root against them for seemingly no reason other than they once said something that they disagreed with.

I've noticed certain people becoming targeted by these people, for the most innocuous things. Herd mentality kicks in and then the groupthink types mindlessly go along with it. If they were to meet these same people in person they'd probably ask for a selfie with them. I'm talking athletes, people like that, it's not even ideologically motivated. They just see that everyone is hating on someone so they follow suit instinctively.
