"There are no girls on the internet" era was a peak time.
Imagine a product being marketed to men, and only to men.
In a world where men controlled household finances.
Heck, not even Gillette Razors markets to men anymore.
"There are no girls on the internet" era was a peak time.
Speaking of the internet and faith, it led me to God through YouTube videos.Ironically, if it wasn't for the internet, I'd have no idea what Orthodoxy is.
Luke Smith has a very interesting video about Giordano Bruno. I couldn't find it on his YouTube channel though, only on his self-hosted video archive:Speaking of the internet and faith, it led me to God through YouTube videos.
So, this is to do with where I got my profile picture from...
It's a painting of Giordano Bruno, who died in 1600, because he believed that there were other worlds orbiting distant Stars like our Earth did the Sun.
He's like if Galileo wasn't an arrogant prick who failed to give scientific reasons for his position and betrayed his friend the Pope.
Tangent aside, even as an Atheist, I fell in love with this man's faith.
When the Catholic Church told him that if he did not recant his position, they would execute him, he refused and burned him as an unrepentant heretic.
He was martyred in the name of freedom of thought, 395 years later the first exo-planet found orbiting a sun like star.
1995.
51 Pegasi b.
So he became my hero. Maybe that's why I live in this world where people kill those who speak the truth. I wanted to do as Giordano Bruno did and refused to surrender even as they execute me.
That's uh, kinda Christ like huh...
I was an atheist that loved a man who died as Christ did...
God surely works in mysterious ways.

Speaking of World Changing events, dies anyone else find it strange that the number of humans that have existed so far correlate to the advancement if technology? Population growth and technological growth were both at their fastest during the Dawn of the 20st century?
So, does that mean God is actually playing Civ 5?
