They offer the option up front to collect the sperm sample without masturbating. You can wear a condom and have sex with your wife, then collect the sample from the condom afterwards and send it in.
I agree that IVF is a blessing for Christian couples that can't conceive. I do think that making multiple embryos and discarding the unused ones is the same as abortion, and I oppose doing that. As long as you don't discard any viable embryos, I think it is fine.
I will say as well that I understand the risk of behavioral problems is higher with IVF babies, but this is an acceptable risk for a childless couple. There's always a risk of a child turning out poorly, and that's just part of life.

I have heard this in the past, and did a search on it just now. It is something that has been looked at in medical studies, and the studies claim that the odds of behavioral problems are about the same.
However, who can trust studies nowadays? My assumption is that where there's smoke, there's fire, and there is probably some increased risk. However, I think this risk is not severe, and is probably only a little higher than naturally conceived children.
The risk of actual physical or mental defects and diseases from birth is very real. Even among children that seem physically and mentally normal, the number that turn out as black sheep no matter how well the parents try to raise them is pretty high.
Out of any group of kids, such as all the kids you went to school with, or all the members of your extended family, there are a small number that turn out with exceptional characters, a group whose characters are average to fair, and a group who are just terrible people. Sometimes it's the parents fault, but there are plenty of families with good parents that have a mix of good kids and black sheep.
I suppose the same is probably true with IVF kids.
One could make the argument that God does not want infertile couples to have children....but I digress.
One could make the argument that God does not want people with broken bones having them set and splinted. I don't think God calls us to forego the use of technology. I'd almost say he created us to rise above living like animals by using technology.
God opens and closes the womb, not man. It’s a perversion of nature. IVF isn’t mending what has been broken, it is creating a new life by artificially rendering fertile what God has ordained infertile. If Abraham and Sarah had artificially brought about a child instead of living by the grace of God, would Abraham have still been justified by faith? Could the miraculous births of Isaac or John the Baptist have occurred if their mothers had acted out of impatient defiance or through the machinations of man?
Technology is to be used wisely and in accordance with Christian principles. If man was capable of cloning a dead loved one, would this be acceptable? Do you really think man can claim power over the womb, or resurrection, so to speak, in defiance of God without any consequences? IVF is about as natural as two fags bearing a child, and that is exactly what it’s being used for.
