My little sister carries a stainless steel straw in her purse, two actually so when I eat with her I get one too haha
I just drink straight out of the cup.
Same here. Straws only make sense if you're drunk or tipsy and want to avoid knocking your teeth on the cup or glass
My old man always said men don't use straws. After about 10 I tell the kids the same thing.
The only use for straws is with fountain drinks from fast food or a convenience store with the paper cup and the lid.
Friends who worked in food service strongly advised me to use a straw. Those cups aren't cleaned nearly as thoroughly as you may think. That's why they give you straws.
This version of President Trump is very different from the first version.
In his first period, he seemed mostly lighthearted. He was funny and gregarious, and he smiled and goofed around with people around him - even the press.
Now, he is a changed man. He rarely smiles. He looks dour and menacing. He is angry and haughty with the press, and with anyone who questions him.
All this is of course understandable considering what he has been trough over the last four years. But I find it unsettling nonetheless.

I’ve worked in the restaurant industry and they’re put through an industrial washer. People are afraid of germs and it winds up making them vulnerable to relatively mild exposures in the long run. I do have some horror stories though.
Why unsettling? I say thank God he is focused on what he needs to do this time. This isn't a time for light heartedness. Look what has already been found, and just imagine how much more needs to be found and cleaned up.
For one thing, they tried to kill him, and barely missed blowing his brains out. The Secret Service and other parts of the government were obviously involved. He's out for vengeance, and that's what I want from him.
Using a straw doesn't make the cup clean.
If that's the case, wouldn't the unsanitary bits already be in your drink from the dirty cup?
I grew up in a restaurant and worked in food service during college before military.... The glasses are dine. It's fountain drinks that are pretty gross.
In Texas at least, health inspections and health codes are pretty stringent .

Sure, he's on a vengeance mission. But he is not making any new friends on the way, and is making many more mortal enemies.
But the most unsettling part is his zealous commitment to Zionism and to serve Israel. He seems way more commited to making Israel great than to make USA great.
