For the record, Napoleon was not short for the time. 5 foot 6 was average for the period.

The right wing after Trump is going to be a civil war if Trump doesn't change course. The older GOP voters + the donor class (Reagan/Bush/Trump) v. the up-and-coming White Nationalists + People who simply just want to afford a house and have a job. If Trump makes the major mistake of upping H-1B, that will be the straw that breaks the camel's back. Is he that stupid/much of a sell out? The next 4 years will tell us one way or the other.

Yes, the 5'6 that get2 cited was average height for Frenchmen at the time. Doubtless there were people with greater average height in other parts of the world.
We're verging off topic with this, but I've always found it such a bitter irony that the #1 physical characteristic men are judged and mocked for is height, which cannot be changed, and that short men just mostly bitterly accept this and soldier on. Whereas for women it's the most changeable physical characteristic of all, weight. But to suggest a woman consider losing weight in Clown World will bring the fury of hell to your door. Even if you do it out of genuine concern and losing weight would probably vastly improve everything for her.
