Career And Job Advice Q&A

I'm curious what other guys are doing generally for careers, or, what you want to do, and where people are struggling.

Financial independence is one of the most important things a man needs to strive for.
If you have the skill set, semiconductor process engineering. But you will have to relocate to where the chip fabs are.

Thought to open up the discussion on AI and the impact to our future employment, standard of living, lifestyle etc going forward. So recently Elon noted in a few interviews that he felt work will be “optional” and not essential as AI should eventually provide a high income UBI to everyone, then you just work if that is what fulfills your days. So economics 101 tells me that when everyone has same high income, then consumer spending increases and then the supplies of goods and services can’t be met, and then price of goods goes up. Resulting in inflation then your purchasing power dwindles and back to same struggle as most people are currently facing.

Does anyone think that when AI begins to push sectors of the employees out of the workforce and UBI is established that people will have the same “social security” and same standard of living? Can you still afford to live in same home? Afford a family trip each year to same destinations as prior years? Same budget for groceries/food choices?

I have a strong hunch that for a large segment of Americans their existence will be abruptly changed for the worse. Despite Trumps populist pushback on the globalist agenda, it still seems that WEF plans for the human race are still on the same course to 2030 as before, just using the AI as their tool to get there. Maybe they’ve always known that AI would be the way to achieve their world governance goals. I feel that I’ve probably got 5 years max before AI pushes me out of my job, and although I may be able to find another job, it most likely will be a completely different skill set, and it will probably be less pay, longer hours and worse benefits than I currently going. Being in my final 1/3 of my career before retirement, Once I get pushed out, most likely that will be end of work for me. Just need to get to 59.5 years old to be able to pull retirement funds without penalty.

This AI talk as a future wonderland. Reeks of communist bullshit. Let´s just pass by the proletariat dicatorship and paradise will await us.

If AI starts taking jobs. People will become unemployed. This is a given. And will have to depend on some kind of subsidy to survive. This is what will most likely happen and it won´t be a good thing. AI is competition. And competition will lower salaries. It will crush employees. How are they going to convince people this is a good thing?

The darkest theory says people will become subservient to the government or to whoever controls AI and in order to receive goods they will have to comply to all sorts of crazy shit. Including their own extinction.

This type of retardness systems have been tried by the elites against the pleb countless times in history. And they always failed. Cause God always prevails against these beast retarded systems.

…and to prevent an uprising by the people displaced, they will find ways to pacify (drugs, entertainment etc). Kinda like they feed inmates a really high carb/calorie diet to keep them plump and lazy. At least that’s what I was told back in the 90’s when my neighbor did a year. He got quite chunky in jail, when he was always very skinny. They have methods is all I’m saying. WEF asks AI “90 percent of the population will be out of work and most will drop their disposable income by at least 50% or more once they receive UBI. Give us methods to keep them pacified and calm from revolting”. Then AI gives them a bunch of ideas.

They will use all sorts of gimmicks. But when the reality sets in people will start to revolt. The inequality in wealth and power will be brutal. I think assets owners will be the last to be squashed. It will be up to the people or at least the more bright and organized to try to understand what is AI and what´s the real goal of the elites. Incredibly I think freemasons are against AI. At least it´s my impression. But I could be wrong.

AI is obivously modeled out of western thought. Since all the rest of the world are savage beasts. But this means west is giving for free it´s knowledge/know how to anyone who can reach a computer and internet. Which is mindblowing.

The idea of AI dominating everything is a popular topic in both speculative fiction and real-world discussions about the future of technology. While it’s hard to predict the exact outcome, there are several key themes and possible scenarios that experts discuss when imagining a world where AI has a dominant role. Here’s a breakdown:

1.

  • Automation of Jobs: A massive shift toward automation could lead to the displacement of millions of jobs, particularly in industries like manufacturing, retail, transportation, and even white-collar professions like accounting and customer service.
  • Wealth Inequality: If a few companies or individuals own and control advanced AI, it could lead to greater wealth concentration and a widening gap between the rich and poor. The challenge would be managing this inequality.
  • New Forms of Employment: While many jobs might disappear, others will emerge, especially in fields like AI development, ethics, and maintenance. People might also shift toward more creative or human-centered work.

2.

  • Surveillance State: AI-powered surveillance systems could lead to increased government or corporate control over personal data, with potentially dangerous implications for privacy and individual freedoms.
  • Decision-making Centralization: Governments, corporations, and even AI systems could become decision-makers in many areas, including resource allocation, healthcare, law enforcement, and urban planning.
  • Social Stratification: With AI influencing everything from education to job opportunities, those who have access to top-tier AI tools might become even more privileged, potentially further dividing society.

3.

  • AI Bias: AI systems are often trained on data that reflect human biases. If AI becomes dominant, these biases could be perpetuated and amplified, leading to discrimination and unfair treatment of certain groups.
  • Autonomy and Control: There are significant ethical debates around AI autonomy—what happens if AI makes decisions that harm humans? Should AI systems have certain rights, or should they be under strict human control?
  • Superintelligent AI: If AI surpasses human intelligence (a concept often referred to as the "singularity"), it could lead to existential risks. The fear is that superintelligent AI could act in ways we don’t fully understand or control, potentially becoming a threat to humanity.

4.

  • Medical Advancements: AI could revolutionize healthcare by developing personalized treatments, finding cures for diseases faster, and enhancing diagnostic capabilities.
  • Space Exploration: AI could play a key role in space missions, allowing for more complex explorations of the universe, possibly even leading to human settlements on other planets.
  • Innovations in Energy and Sustainability: AI could help solve pressing issues like climate change by optimizing energy use, finding new renewable energy sources, or even addressing waste management.

5.

  • Creativity and Art: AI could contribute to the arts, creating music, literature, and visual art. However, this raises questions about the value of human creativity and whether AI-generated art could replace human creators in some fields.
  • Human-AI Relationships: People might develop more emotional and even romantic connections with AI, especially as AI becomes more sophisticated and human-like in its interactions. This could shift social dynamics, relationships, and our understanding of what it means to be human.

6.

  • What does it mean to be human? If AI becomes integrated into every aspect of life, we might need to redefine what makes humans unique. Does consciousness or emotional experience matter if machines can replicate or even surpass human abilities?
  • The End of Human Dominance? If AI reaches a point where it can improve and replicate itself autonomously, we might face the possibility that humans could lose their position as the dominant species on Earth. This is the "AI takeover" scenario often depicted in dystopian stories.
  • AI as a partner, not a ruler? On the other hand, some people envision a world where AI works alongside humans as collaborative partners, enhancing our lives rather than replacing us entirely.

7.

  • Utopian View: In an ideal world, AI could enable a utopia—where all human needs are met, and people are free to explore creative and intellectual pursuits. AI could solve global challenges like poverty, disease, and climate change, making life better for everyone.
  • Dystopian View: In the worst-case scenario, AI could exacerbate existing inequalities, create a world of total surveillance and control, or even lead to human extinction if a superintelligent AI decides to act against humanity’s interests.

So, what happens when AI dominates everything?

It depends largely on how we as humans choose to manage AI’s development and implementation. The technology could either become a force for good, greatly improving life for everyone, or it could lead to significant societal upheaval if its powers are misused or misunderstood. Balancing innovation with caution, and ensuring strong ethical frameworks, will be critical in shaping the future of AI.

What are your thoughts on this? Do you see AI as more of a potential threat, or do you think it could lead to major benefits for society?

If AI can be ethical and 100% in favor the betterment of the greatest number humans and they gain ability to null and void humans being in charge of leadership over other humans only then will AI be positive for the human race.

As long as AI is a tool, the humans in charge will ensure it’s used for their greatest good which usually means wealth and power. No free energy, no free services etc. that can only happen with removal of humans calling the shots.

But then there are the other dilemmas:
- what’s better for the human race collectively may be bad for America as a sovereign nation
- what about the betterment of the Earth as a whole (biological wellbeing of all living things…that can be in conflict with betterment of humans only

Lots of complexity.
